What a beautiful book! I've long followed "Her View From Home" on Instagram, and when I saw this advertised, I immediately came to search NetGalley for it. This is a beautifully compiled collection of short stories that will speak to every facet of motherhood; all mothers will find pieces of their stories here. So God Made a Mother is a modern-day Chicken Soup for the Soul that will powerfully resonate. This would be a wonderful gift for an expectant mother and they prepare to embark on the journey of their lives!

A really beautiful, sometimes raw, collection of essays from mothers in all stages of life. Every woman will find parts of her story here.

This book was not what I was expecting. I thought this book would be short quotes, but instead it's short stories by different authors. I appreciated the short stories--made it easy to pick up and read a story or two, before running on to the next thing. This book was cute and needed--as a busy mom.

My little boy just turned two weeks the other day. That fact has nothing to do with this book, but everything to do with why I requested to review this book and why it affected me so much. In fact, I usually leave all personal details of my life out of reviews, but this is a very personal book.
This book puts into words feelings I have, that I had no words for. No matter where you are at in motherhood you will find another woman to relate to within this book. It's such a blessing to know someone has been where you are and felt what you are feeling. The stories range from unspeakable loss to overwhelming joy and all of them will tug at your heart.
I would suggest this for anyone wanting to be a mother, any new mother, any long-time mother, and any grandmother. This book will be a blessing in any mother's life.

There are not enough words to express the timeliness of this ARC. Means truly spoke to my heart in this book that I devoured immediately upon approval. A must-read for all moms of all ages. Means truly has a way of words that will resonate with all mothers' hearts. Truly a book packed full of inspiration and truth. I can't wait to purchase this book for all of my friends and my mom!
