Wow. This book had me in tears on the first pages because I finally felt seen. I struggle with constantly feel as if something else bad is going to happen to me after I faced my first big loss years ago, and this book addressed that feeling when nothing else I’ve read ever has.

This biblically based book goes in depth on subjects helpful to anyone who struggles with anxiety, fear, and trust. It is full of encouragement and easy to read.

I will be downloading the audio version to listen to when I need a pick me up!

Thank you to NG and the publisher for the ARC of this book.

Heidi’s book was an easy read! She walked through several Bible characters and how they lived out their faith. It’s written just as she talks- very conversationally.

Reassuring, thought-provoking, & an overall good read!

I found a lot of this to be helpful for those who have faith and anxiety. Reminding yourself to trust God and incorporate that in your everyday was helpful to me as someone in my 20s going through transitional seasons.

Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

PS it's Gonna Be Good is a beautiful, fun and insightful book. It makes you feel like you are sitting and chatting with her. Totally love how Heidi navigates through different challenges of life, encouraging us to keep our eyes in God knowing that with Him everything is gonna be good. She talks with humor, love, passion and vulnerability. It will be great to use this book in woman bible study or book club. Definitely using it for my next book club.

The concept of this book was great and the time looking at Biblical characters and how the reader could derive hope from how God worked in and through them despite their situations was well spent. I found myself distracted by the overuse of ALL CAPS, sarcastic asides, and the font changes for the author’s personal commentary. Used sparingly, I think it would have been a clever and appreciated addition.

Synopsis: “While you may not see what God’s doing in your life, that doesn’t mean he’s not working…When the time is right, you’ll see how God was lining up things all along to bring about good to your life and glory to his name.” Fear, doubt, worry, anxiety: these are often words we can use to describe our life circumstances. It’s easy to feel like we’re drowning in the unknown of the future especially with everything going on in the world today. But God doesn’t call us to live in fear. He calls us to trust Him with everything that we hold dear, and the outcome, well, Heidi’s here to remind us that P.S. It’s Gonna Be Good.

Analysis: I started following Heidi Lee Anderson about a year ago on my personal account because I absolutely loved the practical biblical tips she would share. Her enthusiasm and simple teaching style captivated my attention. And in true Heidi fashion, this book does the same! Conversational, hilarious, and practical, this book takes you on a walk through different Bible characters and how they lived out their faith. Heidi’s humor and real life examples make it easy to read and learn how to live out your own faith. If you’ve ever had even the slightest fear of the unknown (and p.s. who hasn’t?), you’ll want to add this one to your shelves!

"P.S. It's Gonna Be Good: How God's Word Answers Our Questions about Faith, Fear, and All the Things", by Heidi Lee Anderson, details what the Bible says about fear and anxiety. Anderson discusses the things that cause us to fear, and the normalcy of experiencing that emotion. In this book, the lives of well-known Bible characters, such as Esther, Martha, and Gideon, are considered. I particularly liked the portion about Daniel, and the author's assertion that "it was only in the fire when the king could see Jesus." I had never had that realization.

I was a little dismayed by all the mentions of pregnancy and infertility in the book, but that's my fault for not researching it more before requesting the book. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.
