This book was okay. I might have gotten into it more reading the actual book as I had a hard time following along with the reader. It took forever for the details of the story to finally go through

A thriller that has so many twists and characters with secrets it will keep you up all night to find out what happens next. Excellent.
Sarah Durham's excellent narration keeps you glued to your earphones.
I received this audiobook from Bookoutre audio and Netgalley for a review.

Sarah may be thirty-something years of age, but like a cat, she has lived multiple lives. Today she is a new wife and a beloved and well-experienced nurse. Unfortunately, her bad luck strikes again, and her husband William is found dead at their home. The main detective in charge of William's case is Sarah's ex-lover. On top of this, her fellow nurse assumes the role of a mother hen, and Sarah finds herself in an awkward situation.

Revenge is a word that comes to my mind when I think of this novel. The main job of the nurse is to provide comfort and support to the patient. But our nurse leaves multiple dead bodies behind her. The plot of "The Nurse's Secret" is a combination of multiple secrets that are revealed throughout the novel. I must admit, the storyline was too busy for my liking. Too many characters with their own agenda and backstories. I did like the finale of the novel, not the typical happy-ending, but a very optimistic one. Makes me wonder if there will be a sequel to this book.

Thank you, NetGalley for a free and advanced copy of the novel in exchange for my honest review.

The performance was top notch. I was so impressed with the narrator. I am not sure about the story. It mostly made me sad. I did enjoy the twists and turns though.

The title is an epic spoiler! The reveal/twist around 90% would have been superb and jaw dropping IF I hadn’t been waiting for her secret or aware she had one the entire time. I loved this until the maniacal confession at the end and wish authors would stop with this practice. Otherwise I was very captivated and kept turning the page to see what happens

This book is absolutely amazing! I loved it. It's not often I give 5 stars, but on this occasion it is so well deserved. There is so much depth to it and so many interwoven stories. It is packed with mystery, horror, suspense, long hidden secrets and lies. The plot twists and unexpected bombshells just kept the pages turning, long into the night. I couldn't put it down. There's a feeling of danger running throughout the book, that kept me on the edge of my seat. Some of the characters are really creepy. All of them are so well presented, many of them deeply disturbing. And what an ending!! My sincere thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy in exchange for an honest unbiased review.

Wow! The twists and turns never end in this psychological thriller on Audiobook called The Nurse’s Secret by Liz Lawler. Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouter, and Liz Lawler for the opportunity to listen to this great book! I found the novel very interesting and different in that it didn’t have the same old tropes that most books do these days. I found it delightfully thrilling due to the twists and turns. The narration was slightly stilted but not bad. I recommend this book to anyone who reads thrillers and appreciates a good psychological ride!

Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy. I just couldn't get into this book. It didn't hold my attention. I felt like there were too many things going on, it was too slow. I listened to the first hour and honestly had no desire to listen to anymore. Too bad. It sounded good and I was hoping to find a new author.

This was my first novel by Lawler, and I would love to read more.

Sarah Sarah is a wife nurse and liar! All the doctors and nurses trust her and she seems to be a wonderful nurse.

One day the police show up looking for Sarah at work, because her husband as murdered. Everyone is shocked, and do not believe the newlywed could be involved in his death.

Both Sarah and her husband William have their own secrets. Part of Sarah’s job is to deliver medicine to her patients. Can she be trusted or is she trying to kill them too?

The twist at the end will have you wondering. I can tell by the plot, the author was a nurse.

I have mixed feelings about this book. I believe the author is very talented and it is well written. The characters are not necessarily likable but well developed. The subject and plot were interesting and full of twists. I just felt there were too many coincidences that I won’t mention due to spoilers. I also thought there were too many twists. Overall a good read even if it wasn’t my favorite.

Wow! This was a journey. We have several main characters that are easy to get to know and the fun is trying to figure out how the stories connect. It kept me guessing!

Sarah is a newlywed nurse. Her husband has been getting nasty calls and letters so when he continues to not answer her calls from work, she is concerned enough to call for a welfare check. Unfortunately, her groom is dead. This happens at the very start which I loved. We jumped right into it. It started to lag a little bit after, as we got to know more people, but not for long.

A friend from work, Kathleen, insists Sarah stay with her and her husband. Is she a helper or a stage five clinger? We also get to know Nick, a cop investigating the case. He’s actually Sarah’s ex who is still lovestruck. He pretends he doesn’t know her so he can stay on the case. Is he here to help or is it a setup?

There are reasons to, and not to, trust all of these people. This is a large web and everyone is hiding something.

It stays consistently interesting with a great twist that the story was carefully building toward the whole time. There were a few changes in narrators that got confusing but nothing that made it difficult to follow. It’s probably better labeled in the book. I got the audio and the narration was A+.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to read and review. It’s available on Halloween!

This was a crazy story that was full of twists and turns. I loved all of the different perspectives because it really added to the plot twists and helped to keep me guessing. This was a good and quick thriller.

With thrillers, there’s a tendency to try to provide more twists and turns to keep people guessing and while, when well done, they’re entertaining, when you give too many characters, and too many threads to follow, it bogs the story down and makes it difficult to get through. Such is the case with this story. Most of the book is spent following several different people and just moves so slowly that I lost track and didn’t even care that I did. The ending was somewhat predictable and while I knew who the killer was, I didn’t know why. But again, it was just too slow for me to want to know why. I almost gave up several times but kept going just to see if I was right.

Thank you Bookouture and Netgalley for this arc.

I have really liked the book. The characters were such a mystery and really nice police invesrigations. Conection to everything and everyone were interestiing discovery of why the deaths happened. It was all over and quite lot but never too much or boring. Also some nice tender situation I like to have.
