The writer of this book did an excellent job letting me feel the trauma that this poor girl went through her whole life. All she wanted was to be loved and the system and her adoptive family failed her. This was a new to me author but I loved how she wrote and am definitely still thinking about this book and this poor girl.

God. Without Him this would be a story of one abandonment and betrayal after another. With Him it becomes a story of victory and redemption.
It starts out from the view of a child, and ends with the insight of a woman looking at her trials as a mature believer. She went through so much as a child and teen. She should have been bitter even vengeful. Yet, she found the strength to forgive. Or rather, she found that God could give her the strength to forgive. It was beautiful.
The author starts her book out with a warning, and I greatly appreciate that. It is a rough book. She is as delicate as possible, but it deals with sexual evil. The only slight complains I have is that the last half of the book is a little random and scattered. It covers a lot of years and brings out only the highlights that bring people from her childhood back into her life. It made the last chapters a little harder to follow.
There are several practices that are mentioned in passing this book that lead me to believe that her theology in on the more liberal end of Evangelicalism. They aren't really discussed much so I can't say for sure.
I would recommend it to a mature audience.
I received this as a free ARC through NetGalley and W. Brand Publishing, Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA). No favorable review was necessary. It was my pleasure to provide my honest opinions.

Memoirs are one of my favorite genres to read. Memoirs about adoption, even better! Thanks to NetGalley for providing me with an advanced copy of A Daughter to Many for the purpose of this review!

I really enjoyed reading about Kari's life. She does such a good job of weaving the stories from one point in time to another. I liked her simple and descriptive writing style. I felt like I was listening to a friend tell me a story about her life. A story that was so difficult to believe at points.
