Such a fun book that matches the title! I really enjoyed this one and thought it was cute! I really liked how it was written and the plot design. I liked the main character and how fun she was. The first chapter really grabbed my attention and kept me interested in the rest of the book, I loved it!

When I first saw the title of this book, it gave me a sense that there would be some humor in this story.
Unfortunately, there wasn't anything funny about the story of Erica Cantelli. In fact, the story is told from Erica's point of view. Right from the very beginning of the book, I got to see first hand Erica's low self esteem and insecurities about herself, which I found so sad.

I feel that if Erica was happy in her own skin ( she is a plus sized woman), she can take on anything that comes her way such as the challenges in her marriage and her family.

I have to say, throughout the book, i was rooting for Erica to rise up and gather the confidence she so desperately needs to overcome life in general. Imagine what kind of person Erica would be?

Many thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. Publish date is January 19, 2023

I really enjoy Barone's style of writing, she paints a wonderful picture without it all becoming too wordy. Having not read the previous books in the series I was originally a little concerned I would be at a disadvantage but this was not the case. I felt Barone portrayed the feelings and insecurities a lot of women had brilliant, and that the main character Erica was relatable and the issues faced were ones that so many of us do. If you read for escapism of every day issues this may not be your first choice, but it is a great read nevertheless. I wish Erica loved herself a bit more!
Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

The story of this book had characters that you related to, their issues were visible without beating around the bush.

It’s about forgiveness, misunderstandings and having a 2nd chance. It’s told from Erica’s perspective.

I finished this book in one sitting as I wanted to know what happens next and how Erica dealt with the situation she was in.

I highly recommend.

Set in beautiful Tuscany this is a wonderful story of friendship, love and family with some laugh out loud hilarious moments. A great read.

Erica thought she was finally going to relax with Julian and their B&B but no...His ex- Genie- has appeared and put a pin in Erica's ego. This is one of those novels which will be most appreciated by those who have followed Erica's journey from unhappy wife to happy partner. Julian has grown as well- he's now a successful author. Trust, however, that thought Erica's concern about her weight will not entirely fall by the wayside but that things will work out for her. She deserves it. Thanks to netgalley for the ARC. A good read.

Although not hilariously laugh out loud moments. There are still some very funny moments. I think women will relate to this book as I don't think I have found a women who hasn't been insecure about the way they look at one point or another. But this book tries to show you to embrace life dispute the flaws.

Erica Cantelli has been married seven years to successful author and former baseball player, Julian Foxham. It was rough going in the beginning — moving to Tuscany, starting a bed and breakfast, and launching Julian’s writing career. Now that the bed and breakfast as well as Julian’s writing career are flourishing, Erica can finally relax and enjoy life.

But Erica’s bliss maybe short-lived with the impending arrival of Julian’s former girlfriend, Genie Stacie — a successful model and actress. Already feeling inadequate due to her weight gain, Erica must fight to preserve not only her marriage, but her family as well.

Storm in a D Cup was a fun read. It is the last novel in The Husband Diet series. And while it can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the previous novel, My Big Fat Italian Breakup. It will help navigate the context of the narrative.

Most of the characters are carryovers from the prior novels but there are some new ones that added a lot more drama to the story. Especially since Erica’s children have grown up and have a lot more opinions on the family dynamic.

Because the story unfolds through Erica’s point of view, we get to see first hand her insecurities of being a plus sized woman and how she and Julian manage the hills and valleys of their relationship.

Storm in a D Cup is more that a seven year itch romance novel since the family element is at the forefront. I must say that although the novel wasn’t that hilarious to me, I did find Erica’s snarkiness funny and entertaining. If only Erica had the confidence, security, and comfort of being in her own skin… Four stars.

I received a digital ARC from Head of Zeus through NetGalley. The review herein is completely my own and contains my hones thoughts and opinions.

This was one of them books that I wanted to love but sadly struggled to get through. The main characters lack of self love and respect was really prominent from the first paragraph and I couldn't get past it, throw in some other issues I think we're glossed over too easily, it wasn't my fav.

The book itself was well wrote and had lots of potential, hopefully it would be a 5* read for someone else.

Thanks Net Gallery for the Arc.

I began reading this book without realising it was part of a trilogy. I ploughed ahead anyway and enjoyed it as it was. I’ll have to go read the first book now though. This book deals with a lot of sensitive issues, but the author writes in such a light-hearted way. Giving us the best of both worlds, moments where the reader may want to cry and laugh. The author did an incredible job with creating realistic characters. Nice , easy read.

At first, I was super excited about this book. It seemed like it was a book was going to bye everything I needed. It has a plus size FMC and it appeared to be woman empowering. That is NOT what I received in the 7% of this book I managed to get through.
My issues with the book lie in two different scenarios within the book. The first Erica, the FMC, is talking about her daughter, who I am assuming is a teenager. The conversation that Erica gave seemed pretty standard for mother/daughter conversations while the latter is in her teenage years. Despite this, for some reason, Erica accuses her daughter of having "uncontrolled narcissism." She compares her daughter to the woman who raised Erica and this woman is not portrayed in a good light whatsoever. now, there might be more of a reason for Erica to make these claims against her daughter that I did not make it to, but these bothered me deeply.
My other large issue came with the phrasing of something that was used by Erica again. In this context, Erica is talking about her ex-husband. She is talking about how he stole their children's college funds and went away for doing so. In this specific instance, she refers to it as "loony bin for crooks." I don't even know where to start with this. This is under no circumstances the way to phrase this. I am all for dogging your ex-husband, I will actively participate 90% of the time, but this is NOT the way to go about it at all. The term "loony bin" has been used in the past to discuss mental facilities, most of which patients were not committed to willingly and had horrid practices and crimes against the people residing there. To be using this phrasing to try to make light of this situation is completely inappropriate.

Storm in a D Cup by Nancy Barone
What a funny, witty, make you feel good fun book. This was the third in the series however it didn’t make a difference this book can be read as a stand a-lone book. However, I will definitely be adding the first 2 books in the series to my TBR list. Read it.
Many thanks to Nancy Barone, NetGalley, and the publisher for the advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

Thoroughly loved this. For me, feeling all the emotions of the characters is what makes a good book. And boy, this one had me raging, crying and laughing. A great mix and a great read. Thank you to the publisher, author and netgalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

Cute book with wonderful descriptions of Italy!! Who would not want to be swept to this country and live! This book had a slow start for me, lots of descriptions. I did enjoy the story and the way the characters did go through such transformations. We all have those insecurities so as a whole, this book is very relatable. This is my first book by this author. Cute story with good character development.

Storm in a D Cup is the perfect cure for a rainy day - a cup of sunshine when I needed it the most. I have not read the other books in the series, but will be going back to do so now as I'm curious if they're as good. The characters Barone created are unique and relatable - anyone can find someone to relate to. This wasn't a perfect book, but so much fun so I highly recommend for a rainy day stuck inside when you need a little light!
