My thanks to Booksgosocial and NetGalley for a copy of “ The Big Trivia Book “ for an honest review.

I love a bit of trivia , but unfortunately this book read more like a list , and once you read inaccurate facts , it’s very hard to believe anything else you read.
Sadly not worth the time reading

This book is fun for those who enjoy trivia. I could see using it to share on a long road trip, for a trivia night, for fun reading, and as a gift for those that are hard to buy for. It was entertaining.

I LOVE trivia but this book was not good. It was a quick read but it was not accurate and some didn’t make sense. Ehh I’m bummed bc this would have made a fun gift.

This book was full of interesting facts that I had not read before. However, some of the descriptions needed fleshing out and some fact checking. A fun read.
Thank you NetGalley for providing this copy. The opinion expressed here is solely my own.

I've always loved trivia and was excited to read this book. What a disappointment. I don't claim to know all the facts, but it was easy to spot inaccuracies immediately. What good is trivia that isn't true?

The world is full of amazing facts. A good book of facts can be truly inspirational, increasing our sense of wonder about the mysteries of the world.
But be warned: this is NOT a good book of facts. So many of the 'facts' included here are either inaccurate or completely false as to render the book completely worthless.
Just to be clear: Genghis Khan was NOT as the book claims "the world's first great military leader" (ever heard of Caesar or Alexander the Great?)
Roald Dahl did not write The Spy Who Loved Me.
The UK did not have a cones hotline in 1958.
Stephen II did not become Pope at the age of eleven. He was middle-aged.
Churchill was not knighted in the 1960s and did not smoke a pipe.
Ingesting toothpaste is not the second biggest cause of death in the UK.
This book is absolute garbage.

Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this ARC of The Big Trivia Book.

I love Trivia. And learning new facts that I never knew before is always fun and exciting. So I was excited to get into this. But... There is a lot of "facts" the author has listed in here that can't be backed up or researched. It's impossible to find information that confirms it. Also, there are a lot of "facts" that are NOT true in here.

If you're going to write a Trivia book, the first thing you should make sure is that it is all indeed true and factual. It took less than one second to Google some of these and realize how wrong they were. It would have been great to have a source listed for each or even at the end. I lost trust with the author after finding 4 wrong "facts" quickly and had to stop to search each one to confirm. I found at least 20 that aren't facts and gave up on this book. Please, please, fix those for people who enjoy facts and Trivia.

With such a cool cover i expected a little more from this book. Like the occasional picture or something. I love facts but it makes you want to stop looking at it after about 10 pages. It needs something to break it up a little.
