Just a heads up that this is Book 3 in the Fix-It Witches series. While the book can be read as a standalone, I would recommend reading the first 2 just so you can learn more about the characters and their stories since they are intertwined and appear in all of the books in the series. The information from the previous books will definitely help fill in some context from the storylines mentioned in this novel.
With that said, I think this was my second favorite of the series - nothing beats the first one!
But I still loved Extra Witchy and would definitely recommend.
The narrator, Ava Lucas, did a fantastic job, as always.

The third in a witchy rom-com series, that can be read as a standalone, features a heroine who thinks she isn't marriage material, a pan hero struggling with depression, and a shocking family secret. This story made me laugh out loud at the hilarity of the situations these two put themselves in.

Extra Witchy was a reliable romance with a he-falls-first trope. I loved the strong female lead making her way in a male-dominant career while trying to make a difference in her community. Their two family situations were both quite different but played well off one another, having that found family to lean in on.

I just wish there was a little more depth to the story for me, it was very brush off the shoulder, no worries feeling.

Leanne is a witch in the coven who no longer believes in love after her two failed marriages. Trevor Montgomery is considered a failure by his family and has been judged by them for being "sensitive." Leanne and Tevor meet as they have mutual friends, and what they expected to start as a one-night stand ends up in a very real relationship. They decide to enter a fake marriage to benefit each other mutually, but as they live together, they quickly learn much about each other. It's an interesting take on the witch marrying a non-magical being.

I love this narrator. She also narrated the first two books in the series and they are some of my favorite audiobooks.

I absolutely loved the first book in the series, but I was super skeptical going into Extra Witchy because when I read the second book, Boss Witch, I noticed that the storylines overlap and I really do not like that in book series.

Another issue I had with, Boss Witch was that there were major spoilers for Extra Witchy at the end of Boss Witch, which annoyed me a lot. I feel like it’s really weird to spoil your own book before it’s even came out so I put reading this book off for a really long time because I was annoyed by that.

I did end up really liking it so I’m glad I decided to read it after all but I’m just not a fan of the overlapping timelines in a Book series.

The third book in the Fix It Witches series follows Leanne who doesn’t believe in true love but needs to find the right husband to help her image as she runs for city council. Trevor’s life has fallen apart and he finds himself divorced, jobless, and pretty hopeless. The two end up in a marriage of convenience to help support each other.

This was my least favorite book in the series and it just did not hold my attention the way the others did. I think a large part of that was due to both MCs being incredibly insecure and at times immature, and it frustrated me. I did appreciate the way this book tied together some pieces from the previous books, and I loved seeing where the other characters were in their lives as well.

I enjoyed Ava Lucas as the narrator of the audiobook and appreciated the distinct voices she used for Trevor and Leanne.

Thanks to Sourcebooks Casablanca, Dreamscape Media, and NetGalley for the advance copies.

I am an absolute sucker for witchy reads; and this one didn’t disappoint. This is book three in the Fix-it Witches series. Trevor and Leanne enter a marriage of opportunity - she needs a husband to shore up her political aspirations and he needs a one way ticket out of his shitty life.

She doesn’t believe in love and he is so down on his luck that he can’t even believe in himself. They’re adorable together, the book has a few laugh out loud moments, and the supporting characters are fantastic.

Leanne Vanderpol loves the witches in her coven and her career but has two failed marriages behind her, making her skittish around relationships. But when Leanne wants to take a major step in her career and run for city council she feels like a happily married woman will look better for voters. Thats when Leanne meets Trevor at a coven party, and they escape into the bathroom for some fun, which leads to more. Trevor is heartbroken after his ex destroyed him, he’s jobless, hopeless and lives in the basement of his very toxic family home. Leanne is the bright light that he needed most. Will Trevor be able to help Leanne achieve her career goals? Will Leanne finally be able to fall and trust a romantic partner again?

Extra Witchy is a dual POV, fake dating, marriage of convenience, witchy romcom with a HEA and spice. Extra Witchy is the third book in the Fix-It Witches Series. I did not read the first two books before this and had no problem following the story.

Trevor has a lot of problems when we first meet him. He’s heartbroken, jobless, friendless, living with his toxic family and seriously suffering from depression. While Leanne doesn’t solve his problems, she gives him the means and confidence to change his life. He finds a job he loves, he starts hanging out with friends and decides to go to therapy. Leanne never tries to fix Trevor, it’s all Trevor. Which I really appreciate. In lots of books it is made to feel like one character “fixes” the other and that a relationship is needed to solve all of their problems. Ann Aguirre was great with having Trevor help himself and pull himself out of his anxiety and depression.

Theres also a lot of communication in this book. While they might mess up and upset each other, they always talk it through, apologize and try again. That is a sign of a healthy relationship. Leanne is a sexy, badass that goes after what she wants and I love her.

While I expected their to be more magic in the book, it really wasn’t that involved plot wise until the end of the book. I didn’t mind it through, it didn’t overtake the story and the romance took the front seat. The added conflict of an overheard conversation kept me at the edge of my seat.

I received an audio version and loved it. It was narrated by Ava Lucas and she did an excellent job. I am always worried with dual POV stories that are narrated by one person and loosing that second persons POV. Ava was able to put on distinct voices to keep the different POV’s clear.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for an advanced audio copy for an honest review. I love you guys 💕

My favorite out of all the Fix It Witches. Cute warm fuzzy and frustrating like all of Aguirre’s books. I love every second of them.

Narrator is super cute and kept me invested the whole book.

This was a fun addition to this series! I really enjoy the audio version. I had borrowed the previous in the series before reading this, and felt it was a good follow up. I enjoy the characters and was glad to have some of them make come backs. I enjoyed the marriage of convenience trope presented in this book and the audio was well paced and performed.

I received an advance audio copy. All thoughts are my own.

The Fit-It Witches is such a great series. Thanks to Netgally I discovered this series and have gotten to read each one. Each story brings something new and you know the cast of characters from the 1st book from the coven. The great thing about this series they don't take place years later they are things going in in the current time line you just get what's going on with that character.

Leanne has always been the fun witch go with the flow. She has been married twice and with both of them not working out she doesn't believe in "love" and the stability that comes with love. When she decides to run for city council she's afraid her lack of a relationship or failed marriages might come come against her. So her goal is to clean up the town and find a husband to help her. not a typical love story its more of a contract of friendship and could it turn into more.

I cant stress enough how much I've enjoyed this series and like the 1st two in the series this is a favorite its hard to pick a favorite. All 4 Stars all worth the read.

I listened to all of them and the narrator was fantastic and it was a fun fast listen.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for giving me an arc of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Extra witchy is the third book in the Fix-It Witches series. This can be read as a stand alone or you can read them in order.
Leanne has started to take on a political role and it has her re thinking her lack of relationship in the eyes of the public even though she’s been previously married. Since she has magic she has to keep her powers hidden, but she decided on a husband who would look good.

For this being a “witchy” book, I’m surprised at how little “magic” was in this story, it picked up at the end but just lacked the rest of the book.

The narrator for both of the characters did an amazing job.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for an advanced review copy of “Extra Witchy” by Ann Aguirre. Thoughts and opinions are my own.

I was curious about this story since all the books in this series take place around the same time. The second book kind of spoiled the ending for this one but it was interesting to see how the characters got to that happy ending.

The story had a lot of fun tropes like fake dating turning into fake marriage. Despite all the books being about witches in a contemporary setting, for some reason this installment felt the most unrealistic to me. Leanne running for office especially felt unrealistic that it would work out that well and her fake relationship never got exposed. With her background there just didn’t seem any way for her to avoid the political mudslinging.

As far as Leanne and Trevor’s relationship, everything just seemed to go far too well. There wasn’t much conflict and the conflict that did pop up was resolved quickly which didn’t make much sense regarding either character and their respective baggage.

I thought the strongest part of the story was Trevor finding his self-worth and becoming motivated to be a better version of himself. This benefitted the relationship (once they both finally realized they’d caught real feelings) but it was my favorite part of the story. Trevor also realized he could have true friends if he didn’t hold himself at a distance. He had so much growth throughout the story and that was definitely my favorite aspect.

Sign me up for ALLL the witchy romances!

EXTRA WITCHY is the third book in the Fix-It Witches series, and after enjoying the previous two books, I was excited to read the latest in this series. I just swoon for a book that includes a witchy heroine, with a sweet romance at the core. I read both the physical book and audiobook, and loved them both. The angst between the love interests was so fun and kept me engaged.

*many thanks to Dreamscape Media and netgalley for the gifted copy for review

Loved this story of a marriage of convenience.

For her career, She must find a husband. He has nothing to lose. Twist in a bit of witchcraft, chemistry, and knowing these characters from the other books in the series and voila! A nice little romance for anyone to enjoy and love.

Thank you to Dreamscape and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and honestly review this story.

This book was fine but in a world full of really cute romances, this wasn't anything special. It was enjoyable and it was an easy read but I don't think anyone needs to run to read it. An easy listen if you need a palette cleanser but honestly not make or break if you decide to read it or not!

This review has been added to Goodreads, Literal and Storygraph, as well as Barnes & Noble and Amazon. This will be posted to my instagram (@busywithmybooks_) within the week.

I loved the first two books in Ann Aguirre’s Fix-It Witches series so I knew I wanted to read "Extra Witchy" when I first saw it announced. I went with the audio for this one and listened to it on my morning runs this last weekend. It was fun - these were angsty characters with quite a bit of baggage and marriage for convenience is not necessarily my favorite romcom trope but the main characters are kind and supportive of each other. It's wonderful to see how Leanne and Trevor complimented each other and grew together. Their shared kindness and support instead of endless misunderstandings make this a fun story about trust, healing, finding love in unexpected places, and (of course) witches and witch hunters !
This was a sweet return to the Fix-It Witches World and while it was nice to get bits of Danica’s and Clem’s stories sprinkled in this could definitely be read as a stand-alone.
The audio was very well done and Ava Lucas’ narration added to the atmosphere and story !
