I absolutely LOVED this book. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone!
It was cute, funny, sad at times.... everything you want in a book!
Both narrators, Melissa Moran and Jason Keller, did fantastic jobs and really brought the characters to life.

This book was SO FREAKING CUTE. I listened to it on audiobook and loved the narrators (though some of the voices the female voice actor did were a tad annoying)

Liam was the grumpy cinnamon roll I was craving but didn’t know it. Like he seems so stoic but is really a big blob of doughy sweetness. Especially when it comes to Legs.

Annie as our eccentric data analyst who freaks out when she realizes she shared a hotel room with her new boss.

This gave me some Stopover vibes but make it sweet innocent and low spice.

I couldn’t put it down and finished the 9.5 hour audiobook in 3.5.

This book had some problems. I didn't like the narration of the audiobook. The voice actors didn't seem right for the characters. Also, this book felt dated to me. Whether it was the music references or the fact that two strangers needed to share a hotel room, it just didn't feel like this book was taking place now.

One of my new favorite authors now! I loved this book and loved the enemies to lovers trope. Can’t wait for the next one by Katie Bailey!

This was just pure fun in an audio that left me with a smile. Annie and Liam are stuck together, she is clumsy and sunshine and he is grumpy. Sound familiar? Yep. Has it been overdone? Sure it has! But it still works. She uses him in the airport when she sees her old boyfriend and soon they are stuck together sharing the last hotel room. All good until the weekend is over and she shows up at her new job and he is her new boss. Lots of side characters to keep this one moving and a wacky family to add flavor. Great narrators too!

𝑻𝒓𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒔: Grumpy-Sunshine, Workplace Romance, Only one bed, Closed Door Romance

After a disastrous breakup, Annie is heading back home to work for a startup. On her flight back, Annie is stuck next to a grumpy passenger with whom she ends up accidentally spending the night cuddling. To her embarrassment, Annie realizes on her first day of work that her boss Liam is none other than the grumpy passenger she spent the night cuddling with!
This was my first Katie Bailey book. It was a super cute premise, loved the start up work set up. Annie is fun and has verbal diarrhea and Liam the opposite grumpy yet cuddly bear! While this screamed HR all over the place, it was still a cute read.
Thank you Katie for sending me a complimentary copy of the audiobook.

This book was fine for what it is. There are plenty of romances with forced proximity trope that are better. It was cliche and not I wasn't hanging on to see what happened.

This was a first time read for me by this author and I enjoyed the story. I listened to this as an audiobook which was a great experience. The characters of Annie and Liam were the perfect grumpy/sunshine pair and I loved seeing them together. It is a cute and sweet story that will have you smiling and laughing along the way. Their interactions were fun and I enjoyed the witty banter between them.
After losing her job and her boyfriend, Annie is ready for a fresh start. She accepts a job offer and is headed home to start her new life. Fate has some interesting plans for her along the way, though, before she reaches home. Her flight gets delayed and she is forced to share a hotel room with the grumpiest, broodiest man on the planet, Liam. Liam is upset that he is missing his niece's birthday party, and he is not happy about having to spend the night with the chirpy, quirky, all-too-cheery girl he was seated next to on the plane. Doesn't matter that he finds her attractive and cute. Their night ends up being all kinds of awkward, to say the least, and after waking up with his arms around her, he hightails it out of there to avoid having to talk with her and face her. When they finally reach their destination, both are happy to never see each other again, until Annie walks into his office as his new employee.
Their attraction is strong and the chemistry sizzles, but the romance is cute and clean. The story was entertaining from start to finish and was full of fun and heart, filled with many humorous moments and left me with a smile on my face. The characters were well-defined with realistic qualities which made them relatable and I couldn't help but fall in love with them. I also enjoyed seeing the softer side of Liam as the doting uncle to his niece. Glad to have had the opportunity to read this one!
I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

No other words besides freaking adorable I loved this couple from the first chapter and while we could all guess what tropes this book would hit on throughout the story, the author did it so perfectly that I didn’t even care. A must read romance.

“So That Happened” is the first book I’ve read by Katie Bailey and it was truly amazing!!

STH was a fun romcom with plenty of laughs and tons of swoony moments. The tension was perfection and the humor was top-notch🤣 I loved Annie’s bubbly & eccentric personality which paired well with Liam’s grumpy tendencies❤️

What I loved most about this story was the family dynamic between Liam and his family. The way Liam took care of his niece (Allegra) was absolutely SWOONY😍 and the banter Liam had with his brother was hilarious!!😂 I also enjoyed the frequent One Direction references… the jam session Liam had in his car absolutely unalived me🤣🤣🤣

Overall, I highly enjoyed this story. Katie is officially one of my new favorite clean romance authors and I eagerly await book 2 in this series (coming later this year!!)

Special thanks to NetGalley & Dreamscape Media for the complimentary audiobook. All thoughts & opinions expressed are entirely my own☺️

🚨CW: clean romance with mild language & some innuendos

I read this book via audiobook. The plot was enjoyable and it featured a few tropes that I really like. The grumpy/sunshine trope worked well in this story. I loved the one bed and fake dating were really fun aspects of the story.

One think that didn’t quite work for me was the male narrator I just didn’t love his voice for Liam’s character. But overall a this was a really cute RomCom.

This accidental romcom had me laughing out loud and rooting for this forbidden relationship! Starting out with a one bed situation, moving into the forbidden boss attraction, this was such a fun romance.

There were so many references to the 1990's and 2000's that made me brighten every time! The characters were both very likeable – a little questionable at the start, but with the situations they were in, it made you croon from the beginning.

Story: 3.5 ⭐️
Steam: 1 🔥 no smut
Audio: 3 🎧

This book was cute but ultimately kinda run of the mill. This clean romcom had some cute scenes and I got a few chuckles from it as well. I enjoyed most of it but the slow burn was way too slow in my opinion. And then the conflict at the end was kinda silly and boring. It was something to they fixed super easy and just kept on rolling. The only real conflict was them working together which didn’t feel all that high stakes.

Audiobook Performance: these narrators were okay. The guy wasn’t my favorite and seemed too peppy for a character that was supposed to be grumpy.

grumpy and sunshine, workplace romance, and fake dating, yes, yes, yes! I loved Annie and Liam so much their dynamics were so perfect and their relationship just felt so perfect and real. I loved how complicated and messy their relationship got at times but how there was never a 3rd act conflict or an unnecessary breakup. overall this was so adorable and such a quick read.

This was my first book by Katie Bailey and received an ARC version of the audiobook from Net Galley. This book featured grumpy/sunshine, forced proximity, opposites attract, slow burn, office romance, not steamy. I loved the pop culture in the book, especially the cat named Harry Styles! I also adored the relationship Liam had with his niece.
