What a lovely book. Yin Mountain looks a pt the poetry of three Chinese female poets such as Daoist priestess Li Ye and her connection to love and nature and Xue Tao’s connection to the yin female energies.

I appreciated the detail the authors put into highlighting the elements of the Chinese culture. It was so interesting to learn about some of the symbolism in the poems; realizing that a pair of ducks are a sign of love, so when Yu Xuanji refers to only one duck flying alone, that there is much more depths to the words and metaphors used.

I’m looking forward to reading and rereading this book many times!
