I requested this for a bit of a laugh and just to see what it was like and I loved it! Obviously I attempted everything I read. I can't say my dogs shared my enthusiasm but definitely worth a try, and it was fun!! And definitely a read I'll keep hold of!

A fun but still educational dog book. I'd recommend for those looking for something different in the pet books.

Alison Davies’ Dog Pawsonality Test offers a fun and engaging way to discover your dog’s personality traits. The book provides clear and concise instructions on how to conduct the test, which involves observing your dog’s behavior when given various stimuli. The accompanying illustrations and anecdotes provide further insight into each personality type. I included assessment of my own dog below.

One aspect that sets this book apart is its emphasis on the importance of understanding your dog’s personality in order to provide appropriate training and care. The author also highlights the individuality of each dog and how breed stereotypes are not always accurate. While some may find the categorization limiting, the author acknowledges that dogs can exhibit traits from multiple categories.

Top Dog- c, a, b, a, a, b, a, b, a Renegade 2 well-balanced, 3 extrovert. (Captain 3 extrovert, 3 dominant) while Renegade was Pippa's top result, she's more like the runner-up, the Captain. She likes to push boundaries for sure!

Dozing Doggy Style- d, b, a, c, c, d, c, b, b Workaholic, 2 well-balanced, 3 extrovert (Bedfellow, 2 well-balanced, 4 introvert) I agree with the Workaholic result! Pippa has seemingly boundless energy.

Where There's a Woof, There's a Way- c, d, c, c, a, b, b, d, a Wallflower 4 introvert, 5 adaptable. (Clown 3 extrovert, 5 adaptable) Pippa is definitely much more the Clown than she is a Wallflower. She just doesn't bark or howl much. She will, however, make high pitch velociraptor whines if super excited.

It's a Dog's Life- a, a, a, d, d, a, b, c, a, Optimist 2 well-balanced, 5 adaptable This definitely fits Pippa! She's always up for new experiences and loves walks and playtime.

Pose Like a Pooch- c, a, d, c, a, a, c, a, d Showman 2 well-balanced, 3 extrovert (Wild Child 2 dominant, 1 well-balanced) Pippa is a nice blend of her two top results.

Canine Smarts and Training- c, a, c, c, a, c, a, a, c Jester 2 well-balanced, 5 adaptable (Olympian 1 dominant, 2 well-balanced) Pippa only had two letters! While Jester was her top result, she's really more like the Olympian.

Woof and Tumble- b, a, a, b, a, b, b, a, a The Sprinter 1 dominant 2 well-balanced (Pleaser 2 well-balanced 5 adaptable) Only two letters again! She is a great blend of the two. Food is Def a motivation, and she loves playing games with me.

Pooch Power- c, c, c, b, d, d, a, a, a The Bestie 2 well-balanced 5 adaptable (Cherub 4 introvert 5 adaptable) This one wasn't completely split between two results but there was a tie. Pippa definitely fits Bestie more than Cherub.

Dogs on the Move- a, a, a, a, a, a, b, a, a Thrill-seeker 3 extrovert 3 adaptable This fits Pippa pretty well. She loves exploring and going new places.

Very fun and unique book about determining your dog's personality! I loved the pictures. Would make an excellent gift for a dog owner!

This was a brilliant book I had so much fun reading it. It was great learning more about my dog. It was also so very true what the author wrote. I loved all the tests and answering all the questions was so much fun. I loved the way the author incorporated humour into her words. The layout was amazing with so many wonderful colours. I just adored all the artistic and humorous pictures they certainly made me laugh and smile. I even was lucky enough to find a picture like my dog. I really recommend reading this book as you can learn more about your dog. It will certainly have you smiling with the realisation that your dog is a diva etc. You won't realise just how characterful your pets really are until you have read this book. It will make you notice the small things. As I write this review my dog is standing up on my leg staring me out with that longing look in his eyes saying. I'm here pay me attention.

Only the highest of praise goes out to the author and publishers for creating such a wonderful interactive book, that I loved so much. I also learnt so much from reading this book. I can't wait to read more books like this from a fantastic author.

Is the premise of this book ridiculous? Yes.

Am I obsessed with my dog? Also yes.

Even for someone like me who is her dog’s servant, this book was surprisingly informative in understanding my dog’s seemingly odd, introverted behaviors and finding ways for her to thrive.

Really cute, to boot.

I went into this book not with the hope I would be able to accurately pinpoint the personalities of my dogs, but because the cover is catchy and I love the artistic style - and because I knew there would be humor and accurate representations of all dogs I've seen and owned (or have owned me) over the years. No dog will fit into one category, but I found that this was a cute and fun way to get a general idea of the traits and quirks you may see jumping at you from time to time. I loved that the owner disclosed this in the conclusion- there is much more than personality traits to your dog, and what this book can provide a basis for.

I also enjoyed the dog types and breeds that were laid out at the end. I think it's helpful for there to be an informative guide like that because a lot of people get a dog based on their looks and don't think about the other aspects of life a breed may require.

This would be a really cool book to have in any dog lovers' life and home- a vet's office or anywhere where Fido is allowed! It'll definitely encourage lots of laughter and delight.

Super cute illustrations and kind of fun, but if you're looking for, like, insight into your dog I'd keep it moving. But I think we all know that going in - nice to leaf through and look and not a training tool really. Maybe you'd keep it as a quick guest bathroom read or pick it up for a white elephant gift exchange?

This is a absolute must have book for every dog lover. I loved all the artwork! Going through the quizzes reminded me of the quizzes I’d take as a young millennial. Such a cute idea and I loved every minute. Thank you Net Galley for an ARC of this absolutely adorable book.

I can't say this quiz book is very accurate or super insightful into the personalities of dogs. But it's cute and fun and would make a nice little gift for a canine-obsessed friend.

If you're a dog lover, this book is for you. This book is full of beautiful illustrations and quizzes about your dog. All the questions were fun and helped you to understand your dog(s) on another level.

This would be a cute holiday gift.

I am so glad I stumbled upon this book while scrolling on Netgalley. This is an adorable and quick read that as a dog mom I really enjoyed!

The book consists of multiple quizzes based off different aspects of your dog (routine, sleep, etc). After each quiz you get results then you also combine the results at the end to get an overall personality result.

I have to say a big reason I loved this book was the illustrations. They are absolutely stunning and so fun to look at! It makes me want to buy a physical copy.

This would be a great present for any dog lover, it’s such a fun and cute read!

If you know me, you know I am absolutely obsessed with my dog. With this little handy book, you can know your dog’s personality type. Dubbed “Pup Psychology 101” this one will not disappoint. From diving into your dog’s favorite ways to play, their sleeping positions and patterns, the way they communicate, and their “signature style” this one will have you rethinking everything you thought you knew about your right hand pup, and have your pup very confused at why you are watching him sleep and taking notes. So much fun!

Loved this! So much humor, and the illustrations are so sweet. My dog was all over the place…not fitting into any category for some of the quizzes. But then he is just a big yellow dog of no discernible breed, A great book to give as a gift to any dog lover.

This book is essentially a series of Cosmo quizzes for dog owners. There is very little substance, but the book is attractively produced with cheerful illustrations. This is the sort of thing you hope not to get in a holiday exchange—silly and not much use. Do the dog owner you’re looking for a gift for a favor and get a gift certificate for a local pet shop instead.

I love this book so much! I was trying to hold back so much while reading this book to stop squealing because of all the excitement in reading the dawg pawsonality tests of each kind of dawg, reading each option with a big silly smile. I know I must have looked like a human with fictional dogs. But it’s so worth it.
