This was a book that just wasn't for me. While I did enjoy some of it, I'm not really a sweet and innocent romance kind of person. I prefer a bit of dirt with my romance. The writing style was immaculate though and definitely a quick easy read. I have some friends and family that this would be right up their alleys.

Winning His Trust by Toni Shiloh is a sweet and loving tale about finding hope after loss. Jordan recently lost her father and went through a pretty terrible break-up, culminating in losing not only her boyfriend, but her best friend as well. Declan is a single father who has trust issues after his ex-wife left him and his son alone. The two reunite in their home town and will discover that maybe life had them headed exactly where they were supposed to be after all. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher. If you want a sweet romance with a great message that also tells you about trusting in Jesus, then this is a book for you.

Toni Shiloh's books are full of faith and sweet romances. I have enjoyed every single book of hers that I've read and plan to continue reading her new ones as they are published. I especially loved learning more about the Wood siblings and how they are learning to come together after the death of their father. The setting was great..it made me want to go rent a tiny house by the woods and go kayaking! Both Jordan and Declan had reservations about getting involved in another relationship which was totally understandable when you know their backgrounds. The is the perfect clean romance. I'm looking forward to the next installment of the Wood family.

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review. All opinions are my own.

Toni Shiloh was a new-to-me author with Her Christmas Redemption (Michael and Vivian’s story). She came highly recommended by some trusted book friends, and that story did not disappoint, so there was no hesitation in grabbing this book and devouring it. Winning His Trust is Michael’s sister Jordan’s story, but you don’t have to read the previous release to enjoy this one. There are a few minor crossover characters, but there’s enough explanation regarding people and events that you won’t be lost.

This story contains everything you’d expect from a contemporary Christian romance without feeling “preachy.” It’s full of emotion, shows tremendous character growth, and reminds us what God’s love is all about: grace, truth, and unconditional love regardless of our mistakes. It’s also realistic because as much as we all want to believe we aren’t judging others, it’s human nature to do so. Thankfully, with enough personal insight, we can see and admit where we’re mistaken. Jordan and Declan must overcome this, as well as tackle past hurts and mistrust based on those events. The journey to their HEA is rocky but so worth tagging along.

If you love small-town, contemporary Christian romance with a Hallmark feel, this is a book you definitely want to read!

This is a Sweet Clean Romance. I really love the characters in this book, but my favorite is that little boy. This book touched my heart, and I really loved every second of reading this book. I loved the setting in this book. I did not want to put this book down when I was reading it. The ending was sweet and everything this book needed. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Love Inspired) or author (Toni Shiloh) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

This is an entertaining read that is fast-paced easy quick read that I enjoyed. Declan is a single to his 5-year-old son River after his ex-wife walked on them and he runs an adventure business that is struggling. Jordon finds herself back home after a bad break up running her family’s general store after the loss of her dad. Jordon has obtained her business degree and knows what she is doing but her brother wont’ give her break in letting her help to elevate the family business. Declan and Jordon join forces and setup a business partnership. This is great read that I enjoyed.

Can Declan trust Jordon with his business and his heart, will Jordon and Declan be able to get his business by on track?

I received an ARC via NetGalley and HARLEQUIN - Romance (U.S. & Canada), Love Inspired Romance and I am leaving my review voluntarily.

Winning His Trust is a love inspired romance published by Harlequin. Love Inspired means that the romance is sweet and based in Christian values with a low heat level.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Winning His Trust.
Jordan Wood feels not quite good enough and longs to prove herself.
Declan Porter has a little boy and a struggling outdoor adventure company. River is a darling little boy and he brings a fun element to the story.
Jordan thinks she can help increase and improve Declan’s business, and business is all their relationship is going to be. That’s not how it works out, and it is a joy getting to the happy ending/beginning.
I recommend picking up Winning His Trust.
Thanks to Netgalley and Harlequin for the opportunity to review this book.

Winning His Trust is an uplifting, sweet romance. Opposites attract; he’s calm and steady, she has a fiery nature. Both have a past of failed relationships and their trust is weak. I enjoyed the characters, good character development through the story, and liked how they relied on God through difficult times. If you enjoy contemporary Christian romance, I’m sure you will enjoy this holiday read.

I enjoyed reading Jordan and Declan’s story. They are both struggling with previous relationship issues, and I enjoyed reading through their struggles and efforts to do better in the future. I enjoyed that they encouraged each other, not just emotionally as a friend but also challenged each other spiritually. I loved River, and wish I could meet him and squeeze him, too! This book can stand alone, but having read “Her Christmas Redemption” previously, I enjoyed getting to know more about characters from the Woods family. I highly recommend this book to any reader looking for a sweet story with a little bit of meat to it.

I requested and received a copy of this book for review. The words and thoughts expressed here are wholly my own.

Winning is Trust tells the story of Jordan, who just moved home after a bad break-up, and Declan, a single dad who needs help growing his business. The two connect when Jordan offers to use her brand new business degree to help Declan's business.

It was interesting to hear the characters talk about each other throughout the book and watch how that narrative changed. They had been acquaintances in high school and both seemed to think the other had a pretty low opinion of him/her. As the book continued on we see this mental narrative change as the characters form a friendship - and more!

This book had me laughing, crying, and chapter 16 had me literally on the edge of my seat - no spoilers here but it's a nail biter!

Faith is a big theme in this book and it was refreshing to see how the main characters challenge each other in their faith and make prayer part of their daily lives.

Absolutely a must read - a heartwarming, clean, kissing only romance about second chances at life and love!

Winning his Trust by Toni Shiloh is a sweetly inspirational romance story with the themes of renewed trust, restoration and letting go of the past. After the loss of her father, Jordan Wood has returned home to work in her family’s general store. She has ideas about marketing and sales; however, her older brother is reluctant to give her the opportunity because he is looking at her past failures and the fact that she lost her scholarship and dropped out of college. Unbeknownst to her family, Jordan returned to school and obtained her degree she just doesn’t know how to articulate her success to her family. Former classmate and single parent, Declan Porter’s struggling business could certainly use some of the expertise Jordan has acquired during her coursework, but can he trust the standoffish girl he remembered from high school to look out for his best interests? In addition, when his wife dropped out of his life and his son’s life, she made an enormous impact on his ability to trust. I loved the trajectory of the book and the route the couple took as they built a sweet relationship based to friendship and affection. A truly lovely story.
I willingly reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher through Netgalley.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Toni Shiloh just gets better and better with each book of hers I read!! The story line was unique and the characters were relatable and genuine. They are both hurting from past relationships and are wary to move on from friendship to something more. I liked the emphasis on trusting God; it was very encouraging! A definite must read!

I loved this sweet romance. That was a second chance romance without being a second chance romance. As in the hero and heroine get a second chance at love. But it’s a second chance together after they both suffered loses. And having a sweet little boy try to play matchmaker doesn’t hurt. I always know how love inspired books are going to end, and I myself don’t really read them for the ending I read them for the journey.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. Winning His Trust is by Toni Shiloh and it is a companion story to Her Christmas Redemption. I was excited to see how this book would turn out and read about Jordan’s story. The concept was cute and the cover looks so sweet.
Jordan was a strong woman but she was trying to find her footing again. Jordan had returned home but she couldn’t seem to find her place. She wanted to use her degree but how could she tell her brother that when he didn’t even know that she had gone back to college. Jordan was a fun character. She could come off as a bit standoffish but she was kind and she worked hard. Jordan had to learn to see that God was in control and that he loved her for who she was.
Declan had River to worry about and his business. He wasn’t looking for love especially since his ex wife had left him and he was trying to care for his son. But God seemed to have other plans. I loved Declan, he was just trying his best and it was sweet to read about him interacting with his son. He really loved River and he just wanted the best for him. Declan had to learn to trust God’s plan.
It was cool to read about Joran interacting with her siblings and building back up her relationship with them. The family relationship was so sweet and made the book. I adored River! He was so cute and I really enjoyed reading about Joran interacting with River.
The romance was sweet and it did not feel forced. Both Jordan and Declan were still recovering from past hurts, but they bonded with each other. I like how they became friends first and then it grew to more. It fits the characters.
Winning His Trust was a great book and I would recommend it to those who enjoy contemporary Christian romances. It is a clean contemporary romance.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher through Netgalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, a positive review was not required.
