Any books by Diana Murray are fantastic and the illustrations are always vibrant and fun. Mermaid Day was a fun read and would be a perfect addition to any home or school library. It would also be a great fun read for story time.

The illustrations are lovely and utter perfection. I like how the story somewhat rhymes and takes the reader on a journey from the beginning of the day to the NIGHT. It's long enough to read at bedtime without having to get multiple new books just because they're all too short. I'd have loved for the font to be more playful, but that's not enough to knock off a star.

My five year old daughter absolutely loved this book and wanted to reread it repeatedly! The illustrations were fun and colorful. The rhyming makes it easily for kids to follow along and engage with the book. A fun and quick read, I definitely recommend this book for anyone with a young child that loves mermaids or sea animals!

A fun read for families and classes.

The rhymes are simple with a pinch of whimsical, which makes them not only entertaining but highly re-readable. And the illustrations adds depth to the story. They are colorful, diverse and highly charming.

Mermaid day is sure to enchant and engage not only childrens imagination but adults aswell.

What would happen if a group of mermaids decide to throw a party for their undersea friends? In this riot of color, the party is a raging success, even with some shy friends joining in. Considering this is the week when the live-action movie of The Little Mermaid is released, I think the reading of this children’s book couldn’t be more perfect. It’s a great read depicting a colorful vision of the undersea world. There isn’t much of a deep message with this book. It’s about a big party being launched for Mermaid Day by a young mermaid with a bubbly personality and a host of diverse friends. It’s light, fun and cute as can be. An easy cheerful read!

This was a really fun book to read to my daughter and her friend! The pictures were beautiful and the girls loved leaning in and interacting with the story as we read.

Mermaid Day is a very cute book. The illustrations are wonderful. A child could look at the book over and over again and would find something new to look at each time. The illustrations are also extremely colorful and eye catching. The story is also very cute. There are a lot of words in the book that could lead to a discussion about the different sea creatures and activities that are taking place. Would recommend.

This book cover is so cute. My little guy loves mermaids and loves every thing about ocean life and this was such a fun little book for our bedtime routine tonight. The illustrations are cute, so bright, colorful and fun and he giggled through the whole story and pointed out all the fun little ocean friends of the mermaids.

Such a great little read that he asked me to read it TWICE and tomorrow night. I cannot wait to share this book with him again and also see what is next for this wonderful author. We had a wonderful time sharing this together.

Mermaid Day is a fun, beautiful, and vibrantly illustrated book about a mer-queen throwing a party because it's Mermaid Day! Filled with cute rhymes, this book features so many sea creatures to talk about after and learn more about.

This book is a cute new addition to the series and has perfect timing with the new Disney film release. The characters are bright and diverse. There are so many, you'll have a new one to focus on when mermaid fans request a repeat read. I also think that it was interesting how the mermaids had their own outfits- it really gave them their own personality. Also, because of the different species of marine life shown, this is a great book to pair with non-fiction materials and lessons about the topic.

The only negative for me was how the plot (an "outsider" invited in) was so similar to "Unicorn Day". It's definitely an important message though, so I don't mind too much!

Overall, I can't wait to host a mermaid storytime and recommend this book to others!

Really cute. I just recently read Unicorn Day and Unicorn Night and really enjoy it. I work in the kids department in Barnes and Noble and I tend to have a mermaid and unicorn display up so this will be perfect for next month theme wall.

It's a Mermaid party! Mermaid Day is such a bright and colorful fun book. And there's so many little details that I had to go back and reread it a couple of times to catch them all. Like the cocoa/tea and cuddly time after the party, Mermaid Day gives you a warm fuzzy happy feeling. I can't wait to add this one to our library.

This book deserves all of the stars! I have been obsessed with mermaids ever since I was a child and I am really excited for the live action version of The Little Mermaid so as soon as I saw that this book was in the Read Now section I knew that I needed to read it. I have been in such a mood for any content that is mermaid related recently.

This book is so beautiful that I will 100% be buying a physical copy to add to my collection once it is released! This story was a lot of fun and I think that the children (and people of all ages) will really love this one!

I am definitely going to be checking out the rest of the author's books as well! I highly recommend this book!
