Santa's Lost Sleigh by Rachel Hilz - 5 stars

Santa's Lost Sleigh is a Christmas book about Santa and his Reindeer losing his Sleigh and working together to find it. Santa is all set and ready to set off and deliver all the presents everyone at the North Pole has worked extremely hard on, but his sleigh is missing. Everyone is looking up high and down low, this way and that way but no one can seem to find the missing sleigh.

I love this book. The colors are vibrant, and the illustrations are so much fun. Seeing Santa, the Elves and all the Reindeer are adorable. The rhyming story is helpful when reading to little children and we all loved it. Great story with the Christmas Season right around the corner.

Thank you NetGalley and Spirit Frog Press for the ARC.

This was such a cute story! My preschool aged son was attentive throughout the whole book and I appreciated the narrative structure, higher level vocabulary, and rhyme embedded within the text. The illustrations were also high quality!

Santa's Lost Sleigh is an endearing and sweet book about Bucky, who wanted to give Mrs. Claus a special gift. The artwork in the book is amazing, with bright colors, eye catching characters and well placed images, bringing a great visual to the reader.
The story, in rhyme form to "twas the night before Christmas", tracks well and keeps you in suspense until the end. I personally laughed at the very first line, and for me as a reader, this is huge. If an audience is engaged from the beginning and is entertained throughout, the book has met its target goal.
I would suggest this book for kids and kid-at-heart adults who love the winter holiday season.

Let me start by saying this is a cute Christmas book. The illustrations are bright and colorful, and the story is light-hearted.
This isn't exactly what I would call compelling children's writing. The sentence variation is lackluster and the plot is a little disjointed. However, for a cute holiday read, it's not bad.

This is the cutest story! The pictures are bright and colorful and large enough to convey the emotions of the characters. An additional treat to this story is the rhyming of the sentences. I found myself reading it in a sing-song manner and smiled the entire time! It is short enough to hold the attention of the little ones. Definitely a keeper and a great gift idea for young ones in the family. What better way to spend an evening than to gather together with hot chocolate and cookies and read this book. Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book.

Oh man this is seriously so cute.

Santa is in a pickle he can't find his sled anywhere. He looks all over and finds Mrs clause with the reindeer but no sled. However they quickly find that two reindeer are missing. Santa and Ms Clause enlist the help of the reindeer by riding them in the sky.

The illustrations reminded me a lot of a kids comic book. They're bright colorful with very expressive characters.

My only con about this story is fact there are different names for the reindeers. I didn't love that and my kids noticed it right away. Overall though great Christmas kid story.

Thank you to NetGalley and .Books Go Social for this advanced reader copy. My review is voluntarily my own,

I plan to post this on my Instagram at the.littlest.bookworm and Amazon.

Perfect for gifting anytime of the year. The physical copy makes a nice hostess gift to be used as a coffee table book or for storytelling to keep children entertained. The Kindle version is nice to have ready while in a waiting room.

The story itself is cute. I did chuckle a few times. The ending is what makes this universally giftable. The moral of the story was beautifully displayed. You don't take something that is not yours without asking, no matter how good your intention. The point was well-written and illustrated. Following the final point, there is an illustration that warmed my heart, and had audibly awww.

I was a little creeped out by Santa's eyes, however, I'm well past the targeted group. Otherwise, I liked the vibrant colors and thought the illustrations flowed well from page to page, but his eyes.

This is the first of Rachel Hilz book that I have read. It is funny, it rhymes, some bit wordier than others which suits us as I have a 3.5 year old reader and 1.5 year old. It is Christmas theme! Who doesn’t like Christmas, eh? And it also has 1 or 2 lessons to be learned, which helps parenting and shaping the future generation in this easily impressionable age. Love the pictures too.k

Christmas book and Santa's lost his sleigh. Oh no oh no what's he going to do. He asking everyone where it is can he find it before Christmas time. He's looking everywhere for his Sleigh.

The illustrations are fun and very clear they have a cartoonists characteristics to them.

A title that would’ve given me straight anxiety in my younger days. First off, this book has a precious little section in the front for you to dedicate this book to whatever special little one you want – perfect for a Christmas goodie or holiday happy. This one is “Dude where’s my car” meets The Night Before Christmas, and I could not love it more. Bonus Points for writing a badass red sports car in for Mrs. Clause’s hot ride.

Santa is alarmed to find his sleigh missing. With the help of the elves and Mrs Claus, he looks everywhere but apart from some missing reindeer, there's nothing to find.

This is such a fun children's picture book.

It's written using an alternate rhyme scheme (line one rhymes with line three) which gives the story a steady rhythm and keeps the read pacy. Some lines do push the rhyme scheme, either by being of a different length or with words that are only half rhymes. Although, this may be exacerbated by being read in a different accent from the author.

Throughout are full-page colour illustrations that use a simple art style with bold shapes and light shading. This helps keep the busy imagery easy to follow and the exaggerated facial expressions aid comprehension for young readers.

Not all of the vocabulary is phonetically decodable, but this is ideal for four to eight-year-olds. It would be great for use in educational settings as a class read or as a high-level example of rhyming couplets.

Thank you so much to booksgosocial, Spirit Frog Press and Netgalley for the ebook to read and review.

Santa is ready to deliver his presents when he notices his sleigh is gone, he searches high and low, here and there but to no avail, until Mrs. Claus sees it on tv.

What an amazing Christmas book, I absolutely loved this. It made me chuckle right from the start until the end it was so funny. I loved the story premise and that Santa was unable to figure out where his sleigh had gone. I loved the end result of where it actually was too.

This rhyming comedic Santa story is amazing and kids are going to absolutely love this. I highly recommend this for anyone that has young children they will adore this funny story over the holiday season.

This is such a cleverly thought out book and was so much fun to read. It has really great illustrations throughout the pages, just wait until you see Rudolf’s nose that made me laugh too. I really enjoyed reading this, any Christmassy picture books gets me to read it and this one is a new favourite it was so funny, great to look at and to read.

The book’s illustrations were vividly colored, and its characters were quirky and fun. Although the story was nice, it felt rushed. A fun read, but it could have flowed smoother.
