I thought this might be a fun read but I was wrong. I couldn’t relate to the characters at all, and there’s a borderline sexual assault that I guess was meant to be romantic, but no.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed as in this review are completely my own.

Found this one a tad too slow and pedantic, and the chemistry just wasn't there from the get-go (or felt forced sometimes). Sadly, it wasn't the light, fun read I was expecting based on the blurb, colourful cover, and comp titles mentioned

I think I had really high expectations from this book. The cover and blurb gave such Emily Henry vibes.
But I had to DNF it at 38%. I could not go any further.
The FMC was a little annoying and honestly the book was giving me no reason to hold on to it.

The book was ok but did not keep my interest. I did finish the book found the first part of it was just a bit boring while the end was a bit better.

Candice is living in Cornwall she is American and works in a cafe. She meets Alexis who is an author and trying to write a romantic book. He asks Candice to help him and his agent Daniel comes to help him.

I liked the premise of this book but I am afraid it did not live up to the expectation.

Very similar to Beach Read by Emily Henry, but not as good.

DNF at 20%. I could not connect with the characters or the storyline.

Thank you Net Galley & to the publisher for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I really enjoyed this. It was an easy read and the story line kept me up turning pages into the morning. Would definitely recommend to all I know.

I enjoyed this one, it was happy and quirky and set in Cornwall. A very good book. My thanks to netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy of Holiday Read by Taylor Cole. Unfortunately, this book was a miss for me. I just couldn’t get into the story or connectable to the characters.

This is a charming book about a holiday of self-discovery. After her mother dies and her husband runs off with her best friend, Candice moves from theoretical paradise to Cornwall, England. The book has a slow start, but it picks up around halfway through and finishes strong.

Nop, I kept and kept trying to get through this book but i have finally given up. This was not the sexy beach romance that was supposed to be.

I could not believe the scene where after both of them agreeing to a work only relationship Alexis takes it farther be cause she is drunk an she is not as guarded as they should be. This is just not okay and making that into a romance. NO THANK YOU!!

I love a good holiday romance and when I heard that this book was giving Emily Henry Beach Read vibes, I was beyond thrilled. But I was let down. The book isn't very well-paced and has too many 'hidden' plot points that made the book very boring and tiresome. The characters just weren't up there for me either and the whole romance fell flat.

So similar to Beach Read by Emily Henry that it really spoiled the book for me.

On top of that, the leads were so unlikeable that I had to DNF at 41%.

I think this book adds to the prejudice of romance novels and rom-coms, and as a lover of these genre's it really put a bad taste in my mouth

Marketing a book as 'Emily Henry' style gives it alot of expectations to meet. Unfortunately I think it just missed the mark on characters, Emily's are so fleshed out they feel real. However there was a lack within Holiday Read. I feel for Taylor Cole as an author because comparisons like this can really disappoint people who could've loved this book. It was a fairly enjoyable read too.

Unfortunately I had to DNF this book because it was a struggle to pick up and the title was very misleading. I couldn't stand the way the Female Main character was treated and do not like to read romance books like this. I would not recommend this book.

Unfortunately this book was a DNF for me. This book felt way too similar to Beach Read by Emily Henry and I just couldn’t continue reading it. I was unable to connect with the main characters, who to me, were just so unlikable.

Thank you NetGalley for the copy of this book and these are my honest opinions.

I was expecting this to be a cute and easy summer read, but it was honestly just not for me at all. There were too many subplots and ideas that felt random, and they were never really resolved. In addition it contains a love triangle which I personally am not fond of. There were unfortunately just too many things about this book at I did not enjoy, so it was not for me. However, the friendships and found family in this book was cute, as well as the setting in Cornwall.
