From the main characters’ meet cute to Beatrice’s work at Greet Cute, Amy Andrews’ Breaking All the Rules is super cute! The characters are engaging and the plot is fun.

Beatrice Archer, former Ad Exec, meets Deputy Austin Cooper when she is having a very bad day, and from that day forward, Beatrice’s life in Credence takes on a different look. The author’s wit and sense of fun take center stage in her characters. I loved Beatrice’s sassiness and her transformation. Austin, for a young man in his twenties is surprisingly wise and calm. It must be his grounded upbringing! In fact, his parents (secondary characters) are fantastically fun and steal every scene they’re in!

Besides a fun, sultry break from reality, Breaking All the Rules also has some solid messages about glass ceilings, the definition of success, running from your past, and life balance. Even though the relationship conflict can be spotted from the first chapter, the journey to it and through it is so worth it!

Beatrice Archer has worked hard to get where she is, despite having no life, and done it without complaining. So when she misses out on a promotion, she decides to leave it all behind and head to Nowhere, Colorado to live life on her own terms. She is determined to be different, even if it means having beer for breakfast and sugar on everything. When she meets Officer Austin Cooper, in her attempt to break some rules, she finds his easy charm captivating.

Now Bea gives exactly zero forks. Beer for breakfast. Sugar for everything else. Baggy sweats and soft cotton undies FTW. Then a much younger and delightfully attractive cop is called to deal with her flagrant disregard for appropriate clothing outside the local diner (some folks just don’t appreciate bunny slippers) and Bea realizes there’s something missing from her little decathlon of decadence…and he might be the guy to help her out.

This is a great read, with just the right balance between light-hearted and reflective, with plenty of hilarious moments. This such a sweet romance and one that will bring a smile as you read it. Enjoy!

Beatrice or Bea is fed up after giving her whole life to an ad agency only to get passed over numerous times to a less qualified man.

After quitting, she moves to Creedence Colorado. Has beer for breakfast and the most amazing pies. Officer Austin is sent to check on the “crazy lady” in her pajamas and bunny slippers.

Bea refuses to fall for the much younger cop, but she might just enjoy him while she can.

Austin was so sweet, understanding, and supportive of Bea living her new life. When Bea gets an offer to return to her old life she has to decide if the life she’s living in small town Colorado is worth proving herself to people who don’t matter worth it.

I loved the shenanigans, line dancing, tension, and Bea finding her new passions.

Comfort reads are guaranteed to lift me out of the doldrums, make me laugh, make me sigh, generate steam, remind me why I love to read, warm my heart and, basically, chase all my blues away. Which is exactly what happened while reading Breaking All The Rules, the newest member of my comfort reads collection.

This contemporary romcom is filled with snappy banter, lots of sizzle, sweet, introspective moments, emotional depth, and a whole lot of laughter. Once I began reading, I couldn't put it down. And, once I finished the final page all I wanted to do was go back to the beginning and start all over again. This is going to be one of those books I return to time and again, whenever I need a story that makes me laugh, makes me sigh, and makes me, well, just feel good all over.

This is the fourth book in Andrews' Credence, Colorado series but the first one I've read. I never felt lost or confused by starting with Breaking All The Rules. However, after meeting some of the characters from the earlier books, I'm excited to now read their stories too.

It's a lighthearted and fun story. I enjoyed the quirky nature of the main character, Beatrice. She is determined to break all the rules because living by the rules has done her no good. Tired of the life of a workaholic, she decides to leave her high-profile job and move to a small town where she might find some peace. She doesn't want to make plans or worry about anything other than what's right in front of her. The future will happen soon enough.
Austin is a police officer in a small town and he loves his job. He tried living in the city once, but that life wasn't for him. Now, he is back home and living on her parent's farm. That's when he meets the most intriguing woman, Beatrice. She says one thing but does the opposite. He understands that she is going through some mid-life crisis, but that doesn't stop him from finding her attractive. The only problem is that she thinks him too young for her.
I adored Bea and Austin as a couple. They have their hangups and things don't always go as planned, but still, they are having the best time of their lives. Another thing I loved about the book is that it's not angsty. It's a lighthearted romance that is perfect for someone looking for a fun read. The type of book you would enjoy on a cozy night in front of the fireplace or a sunny afternoon while soaking in the warmth. For romance lovers, it's a real treat.

This book was so good. It had the perfect combination of hear, heart, and humor. I loved Austin and Bea's first meeting. That part had me cracking up. It was a blessing that Bea ended up in Credence because it put her on a path she deserved, but didn't see coming. Austin is prime book boyfriend material. I need to find myself one of him. Swoon! He had when he gave Princess to Bea. That's a way to my heart for sure! I really loved watching Bea find and become her true self. Finding her happy place. I would highly recommend this one. Really all the characters were good except one. Austin's dad is a riot and the puns. I loved this visit to Credence and seeing what some of the previous were up to.

I always love Amy's Credence, CO books and this is another great read.

Bea and Austin have an unconventional first meeting, but the chemistry between them is evident from the beginning. I loved the humor and fun moments that they shared. They were both interesting characters who I hoped would get a nice HEA, and Amy totally delivered

This was an entertaining, engaging story and I hope there are more Credence books to come.

Austin and Bea are so good together but she, in my opinion, is too hung up on their age difference. She is in Credence because she is fed up with L.A. and wants to stop doing what is expected of her. Austin is a cop who gets called to check on her, the small town is worried about her because she is acting strange. From the first interaction their banter was great and you could feel their connection.
He understands that she is skittish and not sure how long she is going to be in town, but he is determined to be in her life. He just doesn’t expect to fall for her as fast as he does. In some ways I felt like he was older than her. She likes spending time with Austin but they never label their relationship, so when an opportunity arises she doesn’t believe she has to take him into consideration.
There were times when I didn’t like her very much. I thought she used her past (which she didn’t share much of) and the age difference way too much. When he made the grand gesture I couldn’t believe how she acted and what she said. Sometimes you have to let the ones you love leave, and that is what he does. Will she realize the error she made?
I enjoyed this book and Austin was great. I received an ARC and this is my honest, voluntary review.

Amy Andrews - what an incredible author! I adore this lady! I adore this series! I would totally answer that Facebook ad and move to Credence, Colorado (the one where they advertised for women to move there because they didn’t have any). This series, and all of these characters, are just… brilliant! I love that I got to revisit the town I fell in love with several books ago with Grady and Suzanne’s book (The Trouble with Christmas, book 2), and continued with Wade and Cecilia (Nothing But Trouble, book 1), and now I have to go back and read Asking for Trouble (book 3). Nothing like reading a series entirely out of order! (2, 1, 4… 3)

Amy - I know I begged you back when I first read book 2 that we need Winona’s book. This is even more critical now, after she and Arlo featured so prominently in this story! I am desperate for her/their story!! Please, please give us a book 5 that is her! I’m on my knees begging you!!

This book! I enjoy a grumpy gal and super-sunshiny guy, but throw in the 10-year reverse age-gap, the hesitation to give him the time of day that she eventually gives into, the mid-life and career and passion crisis that Bea (Beatrice) has to overcome before she might be open to discussion about her actual passion for art, attraction to Austin, or anything else that isn’t in the life plan or goals drilled into her by her Dad and Grandmother (with her Mom’s issues)… it’s a tough conversation she just won’t have, and poor, patient, and adorable Austin is the one in her bulldozer path. So. Darn. Good!!

I loved - LOVED - this book! Don’t let the length (about 400 pages, and 16 hours audio) intimidate. It’s worth every single second! If you’ve read any of the other Credence, Colorado series books, or even if you haven’t, you will wish it was even longer! I can’t wait for more of all of these characters and more Credence, and I completely recommend this one (the entire series) to every single person out there! Excellent steam, perfect pace, the best characters and plot, and repeat characters from the series with some big roles from former ones.

I received an advance review copy from NetGalley and Entangled Publishing, LLC, Entangled: Amara, and this is my honest feedback.

This is a hysterically fun, small-town rom-com with a reverse age gap. I enjoyed every second of Bea and Austin's friendly and comical banter. Bea is overcoming another pass over in her career for a man who isn't nearly as qualified as she is for the position. She decides to escape LA life and break all the rules. She lands in Credence, CO, where she meets Austin, a small town cop. She suddenly finds herself living life and having fun, eating lots of pie and wearing bunny slippers. She soon gets faced with decisions of what to do next with her life. She's always followed strict rules in the corporate world and in her life. Is she willing to give that up for the life she grew fond of in Credence?

Thank you, Netgalley, for the e-ARC for my honest review!

I had never read Amy Andrews but she can snatch my coins and run with them at this point. I absolutely devoured and loved this book. The book follows Bea who uproots her life in Colorado after suffering burnout from her advertising job and being passed over for a promotion at work. It's her sugar need that has her running into Austin a local police officer *swoon*. Oh mayn the chemistry was just everything, the angst, the character development and the plot. Read it!

A reverse age gap romance that had me laughing out loud constantly.
Beatrice has rented an apartment in the town of Credence to get away from her life in LA and away from her life of rules. She wants to break all rules she used to live by and what better way to start than show up to buy pie at the local diner in your pyjamas. That's how 25-year-old officer Austin Cooper finds her double-fisting ice cream cones on the sidewalk and insisting upon being arrested for her "crimes". Their story starts this day with her wanting to break all the rules and him happy to help her break said rules. If only he can the 35-year-old woman to open her heart for him.
This book was light hearted, funny and a simplistic romance that makes you forget your troubles. I didn't think about anything while reading this. I was just so wrapped up in the story.

Who wouldn’t love a story about a woman who doesn’t give a care about society’s rules anymore and a handsome cowboy/ police officer sweetie who loves his small town roots? I enjoyed all the ‘who gives a care’ activities and all the pop culture mentions. Also, you can’t help but love a grumpy, straggly cat, especially when their name is Princess.

“He would go to the ends of the earth for this woman, if she’s have him. Hell, even if she wouldn’t.”

Review:
A great romance with comedy and lots of sarcasm. Bea is tired of doing all the things expected of her just to get passed up for a big promotion by a guy who didn’t deserve it. This lead her to quitting her job in LA and throwing darts to select the small town of Credence.

Everyone knows each other here so when there is a new person in town, the rumor mill gets going. Bea stayed in rental apartment for 2 weeks when she first got there and eat all the bad carbs and sweets that weren’t allowed in LA. She wore the clothes that you couldn’t be seen in, in LA and didn’t care what she looked like at all.

When she ran out of food she decided it was time to go on the hunt for sugar which landed her at Annie’s. After ordering pie and 2 ice creams, a cop appears because apparently she was making too much noise while eating her ice cream. That’s when she meets Austin and they start their banter that would lead to so much more than what she was looking for.

That is until she gets an offer giving her what she always thought she wanted. So does she take it and leave Credence or decline?

Great story I loved the cranky Bea and really her cat, Princess, could have been the star of this book.

Lots of spicy scenes

This book was such a treat to read! It will have you laughing out loud and also craving a slice of pie. The meet cute is so funny, cringey, and adorable at the same time. I loved all the spicy scenes and the chemistry between Bea and Austin is so red hot! This book felt like watching a rom com in my head and I loved every minute of it!

So passed over way to many times at work B decides she’s had it she’s done. She moves to middle of nowhere Colorado to do everything she’s put off because of the job that didn’t value you. So I DNF’d this book about halfway through it just want my cup of tea. I could see how others could like it though. It’s big city girl meets small town hot cop. Who helps her own her a walk to remember style list of all she WANTS to do! There’s an age gap she’s older than him. There was definitely spice even only 50% in. This wasn’t it for me, but if any of those elements sound good to you. I’m sure you’d love. Also I do want to visit the town in this book just to get my hands on some pie!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I loved everything about this book.
The banter and chemistry between Austin and Beatrice was so good, as were the side characters. I didn’t even mind the usual third act break-up because of what was behind it.
Breaking All The Rules was my first foray into the town of Credence but I can’t wait to go back and read the previous books in the series.

Happy pub day to Breaking All the Rules by Amy Andrews! Thank you to Netgalley for letting me read it in advance; it was a treat!

Workaholic city girl moves to a small town and meets hot local, but that is where the similarities to a Hallmark movie end! Sweet tooth Beatrice Archer is FUN, ready to break her rules and ALL the rules. Police officer Austin Cooper is more than willing to let her know what statute she is violating and punish her when necessary (or asked). This book features a reverse age gap, and if you have a problem with that, don’t worry, so does Bea.

This book will make you hungry- I find myself wanting a dinner of fondue with about ten different pieces of pie for dessert.

It is enjoyable to observe Bea’s growth, and I need the product she ends up creating. I got a little mad at her at one point, but it’s only because I care.

I read this on Kindle but will have to check it out on audiobook once it is available to learn the difference between “Beatrice” and Austin’s apparently irresistible pronunciation, “Beatriss”.

There is a “cute” cat in this book, and I thought a picture of my cuties was in order. Slide to see my reading buddies.

I was happy to learn that the author has other (seemingly unrelated) books take place in Credence, Colorado. I look forward to going back there!
