Workaholic city girl moves to a small town and meets hot local, but that is where the similarities to a Hallmark movie end! Sweet tooth Beatrice Archer is FUN, ready to break her rules and ALL the rules. Police officer Austin Cooper is more than willing to let her know what statute she is violating and punish her when necessary (or asked). This book features a reverse age gap, and if you have a problem with that, don’t worry, so does Bea.

This book will make you hungry- I find myself wanting a dinner of fondue with about ten different pieces of pie for dessert.

It is enjoyable to observe Bea’s growth, and I need the product she ends up creating. I got a little mad at her at one point, but it’s only because I care.

I read this on Kindle but will have to check it out on audiobook once it is available to learn the difference between “Beatrice” and Austin’s apparently irresistible pronunciation, “Beatriss”.

There is a “cute” cat in this book, and I thought a picture of my cuties was in order. Slide to see my reading buddies.

I was happy to learn that the author has other (seemingly unrelated) books take place in Credence, Colorado. I look forward to going back there!

He is enchanted and she is soon very interested, in him. She is a runaway from her stressful life in Los Angeles and he is a small-town cop. She needs to decide what she wants to do with her life and he begins to hope that being with him, in Credence, will be her decision. Beatrice has denied her artistic talents for so many years; is it too late to be the person she was always meant to be? Falling in love with a younger man was not in her plans, but can she walk away from the love she never thought she could have? Welcome back to Credence , Colorado the town with the best pie from Annie's and where you can wear bunny slippers and eat ice cream and pie for breakfast if you want too. Did I mention Wednesday night line dancing and a local cop who can give you every town ordnance by its number especially if your name is Beatrice who has run away from LA and for the first time wants to breaks of those rules. Like wear day of the week on Thursday panties on Wednesday.

You'll fall in love with Austin AKA Junior, a scruffy one eyed cat named Princess and a grumpy police chief Arlo who really loves their little town, and a Pun loving Brian who is Arlo's dad plus the people who live in Credence. It'll make you want to eat pie any time of the day while binge watching Supernatural on your lap top.

Breaking All the Rules by Amy Andrews is book 4 in the Credence, Colorado series. This book is so fun and has the perfect meet cute! Who doesn't want that to happen in real life!?! Bea has always been a rule follower to get her to her goals. The biggest being a promotion with a corner office at her agency. When she is looked over, yet again, she moves to the tiny town of Credence, Colorado. The Bea decides to live life by her own rules. She meets a handsome cowboy named Austin and so begins the rule breaking. Great story for anyone who wished they could live their life on their own terms. Looking forward to reading more from this author!

Bea is a strict rule follower. She’s always lived her life doing everything she’s supposed to do: Worked hard, ignored her personal life kept her head down. After she’s passed over for yet another promotion she’s had enough. She moves to a tiny town in Colorado and starts living life on her terms. She wears what she wants when she wants which ends up getting her in trouble at the local diner. She meets office Austin Cooper, a charming and sexy cowboy. He’s happy to help her break some rules but neither is prepared for the actual consequences. Great story for anyone who wished they could live their life on their own terms. Loved it.

What an absolutely hilarious book! There's romance, steamy scenes, heart-breaking, comedy and all around fun. Characters were great, there were so many times I'd laugh out loud at something Bea has done. Love these Credence, Colorado books, can't wait for the series to continue.

Wow! I had no idea what this book was about and knew little about the author, but this book has all the feels! It is a younger man older woman trope, along with city meets country and a small town romance all thrown in. Beatrice is from LA and ends up in a small town in Colorado. She has left her job and is hiding out in Credence where she has decided to break all the rules that have been holding her back. Austin is the young cop who meets her. It goes from a first meet to something more fairly quickly, but there are so many obstacles in the way! I basically read this in one sitting. So happy I found this book. I really enjoyed it!

Smiles for miles that will linger after reading this book. It was PERFECT for me after a few who done its filled with murder and mayhem and so good that I had to take a break, tell my sister to see if her library had it, and get her name on the list to read it as soon as possible. I didn’t know as I began to read that I would be returning to wonderful small-town Creedence, Colorado. I have visited the town and its community ni the past and found it filled with book-hero worthy attractive single males that are high on the hunk-meter – so many more splendid stories left to be told based here – can’t wait.

What I liked:
* Beatrice Archer: burned out ex-advertising executive, angry, ready to break out of the mold she has rigorously been stuck in, sugar lover, a bit of a rebel, learns a LOT about herself through the pages of this book…rather taken with Austin
* Austin Cooper: small town policeman, youngest of several children, a hunk, taken with Beatrice, amenable to helping Bea be a rule breaker, wiser than his years might indicate, good with and for Beatriss…love the way he says her name…and a few other things, too
* The dialogues between Bea and Austin – had me chuckling and smiling most of the book
* The close friendships – male and female – within Creedence
* Austin’s warm loving punster family
* The pies…and the part they played in the story
* Princess: adopted cat, not a spring chicken, rather bedraggled, pampered, a star in her own right
* The issues that Bea had to work through and how she did it
* The way family played a part for both Bea and Austin
* How art and creativity was such a big part of the story
* The way the age gap was handled
* Thinking about who might have their story told next AND not wanting to miss it

What I didn’t like:
* Who and what I was meant not to like
* Thinking about how too many times in life we allow others and our own backstories to change the trajectory our lives might take

Breaking All the Rules is a lighthearted tale that takes you into the life of Beatrice Archer who has had only one goal in life, To get the coveted corner office in her advertising business. But she has never been appreciated even after her inhuman efforts and genius mind. She decides to leave the rat race, fancy clothes, high heels, and restricting bras behind by moving to the idyllic small town of Nowhere, Colorado where she hopes to live a simpler, easy going existence which by no means includes falling head over heals for the younger, ruggedly handsome, local Officer Austin Cooper who is entirely too charming for his own good.

Oh my gosh, I loved this book! Bea was amazing and I just couldn’t get enough of her rule-breaking, unfiltered ways. Austin was perfection. He seemed to know just what to say and do at every moment. Together, these two were simply wonderful. This was one of those books that was almost impossible to put down once I started reading because I just had to know what Bea and Austin might do next.

Bea has basically run away to Credence, Colorado. She left her all-consuming job in advertising after being passed over for a promotion once again. She has barely left the small apartment she rented until a quest for sugar brings her out. And she runs right into Austin, a local police officer. These two were great together from the start. Bea is older than Austin so she resists getting involved but it really just is meant to be and the chemistry between them is off the charts.

I found this to be a fantastic book with a wonderful sense of humor. I found myself laughing more than once and I may have swooned a time or two as well. This book had everything that I hoped it would and a whole lot more. I will definitely be recommending this one to others. I cannot wait to read more from Amy Andrews.

Falling for a cop ten years younger than her wasn’t even on her radar, but who could resist Austin? He’s kind, charming, and totally dazzled by Bea even when she’s got unwashed hair and is eating ice cream in her bunny slippers. The age difference between them isn’t as big an obstacle as Bea seems to think and these two soon-to-be-lovers are a great fit from the start. Their banter was fun and their romance so easy to be charmed by.

Breaking All the Rules isn’t the first book set in Amy Andrews’s Credence, Colorado but you can easily jump in here without missing anything. The town is one I’d love to live in, filled with welcoming residents and pie so delicious I was ready to salivate along with Bea. All in all, I enjoyed Bea’s journey; I was rooting for her to claim the direction her life would take, I thought her romance with Austin was sweet with a good dash of spice, the town of Credence was wonderful, and the cherry on top was one very regal scene-stealer, a snaggletooth cat named Princess.

Ms. Andrews gives us a book full of hot flirting between Beatrice/Bea Archer and Austin Cooper. Bea has run away from her life and is getting ready to start over. Credence is a little town and everyone has thoughts as to why they haven't seen her in 2 weeks. Now that she is out, she wants to break the rules. Austin Cooper is a deputy that was sent to find out what was going on. He has decided to help her with breaking the rules. Even though Austin is younger than her, she doesn't want to date him. So they don't slap a label on it but they should have. When her old life is calling her back, she falls for the trap. That only last till she couldn't order pie or beer for breakfast. She also finally has the talk with her dad. Now to get the man she loves back. Loved the ending.

Cute, amusing, and highly entertaining!

The prose is fun and flirty. The characters are friendly, sweet, and lovable. And the plot is an engaging, push-pull tale of family, friendship, tricky situations, playful banter, embarrassing moments, humorous hijinks, self-discovery, finding balance, happiness, romance, and love.

Overall, Breaking All the Rules is another witty, clever, enjoyable tale by Andrews that I thoroughly enjoyed and which, in my opinion, is the perfect choice for anyone who loves a good rom-com that has a whole lot of humour, heart, and heat.

Another visit to Credence and this time it’s Austin Cooper and Bea Archer’s emotional and entertaining journey. Breaking All The Rules is a fun, entertaining read that will leave you smiling.
Bea has moved to the small town if Credence looking for a fresh start and this time she is looking to put herself first and not care about anything or anyone and she is certainly not looking for a relationship. But what happens when she meets local police officer Austin………
Austin is called to do a wellness check on a woman eating two ice cream cones outside in her pjs and slippers in the middle of winter……what follows is woman falling for a hot Police Officer who is 10 years her junior and who has craving things she shouldn’t.
I loved this Book, i swooned, I sighed, I giggled and I smiled but more importantly I fell hard and fast for the characters in Breaking All the Rules. Two strangers who on the face of it are complete opposites soon find out they have a lot in common and who find their soulmate wgen they leas respect it. A entertaining, well written read that captivated me from start to finish.

After being passed over for a promotion that she deserved, Bea has had enough of playing by the rules. She is ready to give up her professional clothing and attitude in favour of some fun and rule breaking. However, after meeting the much younger cop, Austin, will drinking beer for breakfast and jaywalking be enough for her or is there an age gap romance in her future?

What I loved:

-Bea’s greeting cards! I wish these were real!

I really enjoyed this book! I found this to be a quick read that I devoured. My only hesitation is there were some diet culture-y comments made (pie going to her butt, etc) in the context of eschewing a strict diet as another “rule breaking” activity.

Beatrice Archer gave everything to her job for fifteen years to be promoted to the corner office and once again she has been passed over for another man who is not as deserving as she is, so she has run away from LA to the small town of Credence and doing everything opposite to what she did in LA. You will laugh at her antics when a call goes in to the police station reporting a stranger acting weird outside a shop. Officer Austin Cooper arrives to find a woman in PJs and bunny slippers eating two ice cream cones begging to be put in the pokie. Between her past and their age difference, she just wants to break the rules but he is so sweet to her, she just can’t resist him.

After losing out on a promotion, Bea leaves Los Angeles and settles in small-town Credence, Colorado, by luck of a dart throw. There she meets police officer, Austin Cooper, who is immediately drawn to Bea & her bunny slippers and is eager to assist Bea in her rule-breaking journey.

This is a laugh out loud romantic comedy and turns into a much deeper romance where Bea must put aside her own & family expectations and reach for her own expected happiness. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and series set in this small-town of Credence, Colorado. I hope the author plans to write more about this fun town & the quirky & lovable characters.

Can I just say I really enjoyed this book?

Advertising Executive, Beatrice Archer get passed over for a big promotion to a man less qualified. She then quits her job in rat race LA and randomly winds up in small town Creedence, Colorado.

Beatrice has rented an apartment to get away from her life of rules, and figure out her future. Little did she know she would meet a handsome cop named Austin Cooper who will completely change her life.

Yes, Austin and Beatrice's chemistry is undeniable, however I do love Beatrice's journey of re-discovering herself and who she really wanted to be..

I do like the fact that Austin was so supportive of Beatrice and he always put her first. It was something Beatrice didn't expect from a man who is ten years younger than her. Beatrice also realized by moving to a small town, you can have it all through the simplest of things. It was something she wasn't aware of because she had been living in LA for so long.

The best part about this story? There is more to come in this series!

First of all I loved the cover of ‘Breaking All The Rules’. It’s just so pretty and it fitted the story perfectly. And it definitely would have made me want to grab a copy just by looking at it. And luckily enough, I also really enjoyed this read.

The romance between Beatrice and Austin was amazing. They had some amazing chemistry right from the start and I loved it. The author definitely made us wait for a while before Bea and Austin gave into their attraction. But when they finally did, the sparks where definitely flying. And I loved how I totally forgot about the whole age-gap thing. And lets face it.. Age is just a number!

My favorite character was easily Austin. He might have been the youngest, but he was definitely more mature than his age would suggest. He was kind, hardworking and above all a swoon worthy deputy. I loved him. Beatrice was a bit frustrating at times. Especially in the end, but I still enjoyed reading her characters point of view as well.

The setting in the smalltown of Credence also was fun. I just loved the whole small town vibe. The story moved a bit slow at times though, but it didn’t bother me too much.

‘Breaking All The Rules’ was a fun, entertaining and very romantic read with some fun characters.
