An interesting and different concept and perspective, the lead character decides she wants to become a vampire and the story takes her on a quest to achieve her goal. .As she methodically travels along the path, ticking boxes, I felt as emotionless as the characters and story. Yes, it follows a path and ticks the boxes, she meets some interesting characters on her quest, but it all felt detached and I felt no real interest in the main characters. I read it to achieve my goal of reaching the ending! It may suit others better, but left me feeling it had missed an opportunity to shine.
