This book was just not for me at all. I kept trying to give it another shot, but the writing was just way too corny for my personal taste. I love a good friends-to-lovers but I couldn't get far enough into this book to really experience that. I was about 10% in when I decided to DNF, and their mutual pining was not interesting enough to keep me hooked.

The classic story of will they, won’t they, but even better than I imagined! From page 1, you know both sides are in love, but they won’t tell the other. It’s so frustrating in the BEST way! Lexi and Trevor are adorable, and you spend the whole book cheering for them!

Lexi and Trevor have been best friends forever. She's in love with him, but to him, this love is forbidden - he wouldn't wat to jeopardize their friendship, even if he feels the same for her...
This is a friends to lovers rom-com told in dual POV with great tension and chemistry between the two main characters. It was a slow burn, I would've loved to see more of their relationship evolution, and the ending felt rush, although it did feel like they have been together all along, I would've loved to see more. I loved the characters (especially Trevor) and their relationship, I loved Lexi's hilarious dates. Although it did feel repetitive, especially in the first half, and I wanted to shake them both so they would open their eyes, it was a very sweet read. I listened to the audio book, and the narration was great.
I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Lexi and Trevor have everything they could want in a partner in each other...except for the fact they are just friends. They know everything about each other, live next door to each other, and often act like a couple. Although Trevor tried to make a move on Lexi back when they were in high school, they are both in the friend zone.

When Lexi grows tired of not having someone, her friend convinces her to get on the dating apps. Trevor does not like Lexi going on these dates and starts to grow jealous. To top it off, Trevors ex-girlfriend, Meg, moves back to town and hints to Trevor that he is the reason she moved back. They struggle being just friends, but neither one of them will give in and make the first move.

I loved Friendshipped even though it was very cheesy. I smiled the whole time that I listened to it, It is more sweet romance than spicy, but I loved seeing their friendship and how they realized that the qualities of a good friend can lead to a good relationship.

I loved this book when I first read it and the audiobook is no different! Savannah Scott has a great voice for romcoms, and I thought the narrators did a great job of bringing Lexi and Trevor to life!

This book was a literal treat! Having lived all across Ohio for the majority of my life, I loved that this was set there! It was so fun reading about all the different places it mentioned and I felt *seen* by all the Ohio jokes!

Now let’s get to the best part. TREVOR. He was the swooniest, hunkiest male lead!! I absolutely adored him. I think friends to lovers romances are becoming my favorite, especially when they include fabulous male leads who have been pining over their best friend for years. I adored Lexi too. Her and Trevor were a match made in heaven that left me yelling “please just kiss already”!! The slow burn was real but still had me invested in the story because the characters were just so dang great!

I absolutely cannot wait to read any other romcoms Savannah Scott writes! You all need to make sure you get your hands on this beauty if you love romcoms and friends to lovers romances!

Such a cute read! Much needed light & cute rom-com! If you like a good slow burn this is very much for you. The story line stayed interesting the whole time & kept my attention. Very low drama in this book. I was cheering on both characters, they were both great w great individualities. The families were super cute & normal, stayed away from the toxic family vibes in this one. The grandmother in this story was so cute, I absolutely love it The friend group in this was written with ease & wasn’t forced. I would rate this a 3.5 but I’ll round up to 4!

I gave up on this one pretty quickly. It was trying to be funny but just wasn't, and the writing was pretty one-dimensional.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC audiobook. Everything I write is of my own thoughts and opinions.
I loved this book! It was a fun best friends to lovers books. I liked how everything seemed to be relevant and up to date with dating apps and what it really is like dating in todays society.

I'm all about a good friends to lovers, secret pining, clean, small town romance, slow burn story, so this one delivered on all fronts!

I loved the small town setting, the idea of coming back to and living your adult life in your hometown (been there, done that), and trying to navigate all the adult elements of life that seem to be barreling by without you. Like Trevor and Lexi, I, too, worked at my hometown newspaper for a spell, so seeing that element in action really flashed me back!

Trevor and Lexi were an ideal match, and it was torture watching them dance around whether or not there were mutual feelings between them. Their subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) back and forths were cute, silly, and wholesome, and it truly showcased their excellent friendship.

The whole debacle with Lexi going on the online dates made me feel so bad for her, but it at least made for some interesting stories later on! And it helped her match with TJ...(IYKYK)

Meg can go step on some Legos barefoot, mkay...she was way too much.

This was a lighthearted read with some great side characters, a unique and quirky setting, precious moments, and tons of fun and laughs. If you're in the mood for a sweet, clean romance read, this one's a great pick!

I was so glad I was approved for the audio. The cover is SOOOO cute! The narrarator’s voices were PERFECT for the story. I loved the backstories as to what led Lexie and Trevor to not end up dating each time. How they FINALLY ended up dating was cute. Will be recommending this story to book club!

5 STARS!

Ah, this is such a SWEET story!!! 😍😍😍 I was given the opportunity to listen to the audiobook by NetGalley and Dreamscape Media, and I was SO EXCITED because I’ve been wanting to read this and I always prefer audiobooks… and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!

Things I loved: Friends to lovers trope! So so sweet. I love watching people who know each other so well and are so clueless. 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

Dual point of view! I say it every time I get one of these. I love a dual point of view. BONUS POINTS because it was narrated by two people. That always makes it easier to get a sense of the characters’ voices. Loved the emotion for each narrator. It was soooo good.

Small town supporting characters!! Love some supporting characters that are interesting enough, and have enough depth that I want to know their stories too. I know this is the first in a series, so I’ll be reading the other books as well!

Lexi 💛 I loved that she struggled with self confidence when she was dating, that Trevor told her she looked great, but she also asked him for support. I liked that she didn’t care about everyone else’s opinions in her normal life though.

Trevor 💚 Such a cute guy. He swoons but respects her. He genuinely wants to see her happy, but still loves her. Ah! Also, supportive friend all around. Kind to pretty much everyone. Just so so sweet. Swoon!

Slow burn and clean 🧼 I prefer a sweet story to a spicy story. This is heavy on the swoon, and heavy on the story… lots of Will they won’t they… and it makes when they finally get together so much sweeter. I just love the pace. Love it, love it, love it. 🥰

I listened to the audiobook version of this book. Narrator did a really good job. Voice was pleasant, pronunciation and voice changes were on point.
This story of Best Friends that grew up together was a really good read. There were many different things going on at the same time and didn’t just strictly focus on their relationship. It was a great introduction to their friend group set in a small Ohio town. This is book 1 of a series.
This town is so small a mistake with hair dye will have people talking for months. Every date is news for the townsfolk. Your friends meddle in your relationships and on occasion give you some good advice.
This rom com is a great story. I know we have all read a friends to lovers story before. But, this one is written with humor and grace. It will prevent you from putting it down. Believe me I listened to it in one day!

Quick Summary: A true friends to lovers romance

My Review: Friendshipped by Savannah Scott deserves a hearty round of applause. This was a brilliantly done contemporary romance. I very much enjoyed my listening experience.

About the Characters: Every character in this book was so well written. They each brought something into the story. From the main characters to the meddling moms to the exes to the blind dates - they all had a role to play, and they served to steer the true besties toward one another. In truth, some of the secondary characters were so interesting that they captured my attention in a big way. I would be more than willing to read their stories.

Regarding Trevor and Lexi: This couple was so perfect. They were just right for each other. I loved every moment of their epic romance. The will they-won't they dilemma persisted throughout. The almost moments had me at the edge of my seat. The competition scenarios were almost gut-wrenching. The low simmering chemistry was telling. The tornado, the stars, the dance - they were all such special moments.

My Final Say: This book was so good that I listened to it in one sitting. I could not stop myself. I laughed hard so many times. I confess that I totally shipped the relationship between Trevor and Lexi.
