I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. Thank you NetGalley.

This is exactly what it sounds like and what you probably expect it to be.
And for me, that was a good thing.
Who doesn't love silly dad jokes!?
Maybe I enjoy them more now because I'm a parent ,haha.. but hey, this was a silly, quick read. Why not go for it!?

I received a copy of this book through Netgalley. This is my honest review.

So I'm not the target audience for this book as I am neither a father, nor the parent of a newborn. I have been the parent of a newborn in the past though, so I can still appreciate the humor surrounding newborns to an extent. I also have a friend who loves a good pun, which is what dad jokes tend to be. So I went into this book looking for jokes I could share with her.

I am a person who in high school, used to subscribe to several joke a day emails and I actually had the time to read them and learned lots of new jokes, to the point that whenever someone tried to tell a joke, I usually already had the punchline. I was a bit unbearable in high school and I'm not sure that's changed. Now most of those jokes weren't baby-centered, so there were a fair number of jokes in this book that were at least newish to me. There were others that I've seen floating around Facebook for a while, but those did not make up the majority of jokes included, and they were more generic jokes to begin with.

I would definitely recommend this book for any dad joke aficionados or new fathers looking to become experts at telling dad jokes. You might just find a good joke or two to bring a smile to your partner's very sleep-deprived face in those early days, and as the jokes are short, you should be able to find some time to read a joke a day. Overall I give this book 4.32 out of 5 stars.

Best dad joke book I’ve read. And I’ve read a few because I love a good (bad) dad joke! The really cool thing is it does have some tips (slightly funny but still) and journal entries. This is a perfect gift for the dad at a baby shower.

A lot of repetitive jokes from prior books we were disappointed with the content. Would not recommend if you read prior books

If you love a good dad joke then you will absolutely enjoy this book. This book is every pun lover, dad joke lover and mom who loves a good dad joke. I absolutely loved out loud and cannot wait to pull a dad joke. It is a funny book with a good number of dad jokes because you can never have one to many dad jokes.

When you pick up this book, you will get exactly what you are expecting. It is full of humor that you would expect from a dad joke book. I appreciate the perspective of a new dad and the joke a day. Full of eye rolls and chuckles, it still hit the spot when I was looking for a comedy break.

First up a big thank you for allowing me to review the books. The jokes were fun and hilarious and typical dad ones. I liked hacks and tips that we very very rarely got. So that was a solid 3 star and that is what I will give it. However, I am DNFing the book because it was just so bland. It was just joke after joke after joke (each page had one) with maybe the odd illustration or a handful of hacks/tips. On Amazon I can see the book looking way more fun and colourful, if it was that I would have kept on reading. For now I was just scrolling aimlessly and I just lost the motivation to keep reading.
Maybe if I one day will find this book (probably not as I live in a country that prefers its first language for library books) I will re-read it.

A first class collection of Dad jokes, some old, some I recognized, some new, most really funny and relaxing and chockful of mirth. Also contains tips for new Dads, none of which should be followed as they are full or humor and sass. Wonderfully fun book, relaxing, lots of laughs, and a good selection of classics and new yucks. I am now a grandfather, and I sincerely appreciated the book.

A quick, fun read filled with dad jokes (some which induced a cackle, others a groan).

“Dad Hack: Ripped diaper tab? Don’t throw the diaper away; just let this moment serve as a reminder that duct tape can solve most problems in life.”

There’s a joke per page to allow the reader to read a new joke each day of the year.

‘A worried new mother consults her friend. “Since I had the baby, I can’t sleep at night. When I’m in the next room, I have this dreadful fear that I won’t hear the baby if he falls out of the crib at night. What should I do?” “Easy,” her friend says. “Just take the carpet off the floor.”’

A nice touch was some scattered words of advice for new dads that were spread throughout the book.

“Dad Hack: Make a little basket of diaper-changing supplies that you can carry around the home with you. It will come in handy when you hear an explosive poo from across the room and you realize that moving your baby might be a hazard worth avoiding.”

Some of the pages did not have jokes per se but a short story intended for the reader to find amusing. These were perhaps my favorite part of the book.

‘“Mom, are bugs good to eat?” asked the boy. “Let’s not talk about such things at the dinner table, son,” his mother replied. After dinner, the mother asked, “Now, baby, what did you want to ask me?” “Oh, nothing,” the boy said. “There was a bug in your soup, but now it’s gone.”’

This book is for anyone who needs a pick-me-up throughout the year or on a single day. New parents and childless parents alike should be able to find amusement in the pages.

Many thanks to Netgalley and Zeitgeist for a copy of this humorous book in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you Netgalley for this ARC. I'm being completely honest with my review.

This book was hard to review. Because the jokes were indeed corny and absolutely groan worthy. Yet, that's what the book in indeed aiming for.

I liked the little dad tips and spaces to write milestones and such.It really is a fun gift to give parents to keep them company during those long sleepless nights

When dad can still make these jokes to his 22 year old son and make him laugh, you know it's great. Funny in the best and worst possible ways, New Dad, Same Bad Jokes was absolutely worth reading and I'm already planning to purchase it for every dad I know.

P.S. Mom's could get away with these too! #Momjokesarejustasbad
