There was so much potential in this book but nothing felt believable enough to engage me. There’s a fine line in fiction where you know the reader knows it’s fake but the author has to make it just believable enough to distract from that. This author didn’t manage that. Perhaps because they’re newer? Not sure. Hope they get more practice in future writings because the plot had potential.

Liked this book but felt like I joined in halfway through. Good story and would recommend this story.

Thank you for NetGalley for the eARC. I really enjoyed my time reading this story. I have not heard of this author before, but this title really satisfied the itch of the lover who would do anything for the main character. I highly recommend if you would like a smutty story with a strong female main character. I will definitely be checking out this author's other works.

Quick, fun read…

This steamy novella felt like a tantalizing reading bite! Evil’s protectiveness knew no bounds. He was going to protect Noelle at all costs. Give her everything she ever wanted. And more. The drama was real and it was spectacular!

I wanted it to be so much longer to hear all the details. More of the banter! More of the backstory. It felt like being dropped into a song already playing and I need to know everything!

This worked as a standalone but now I need them all! Maybe there is more of this story already told…

Noelle has bounced from job to job, leaving a difficult childhood behind is just looking for someone to care for her. When crime boss Mr. Evil sees her, he wants her and makes her his personal assistant. He pines for her but doesn't make a move until she is attacked. They have lots of sex, while Mr. Evil protects her and finally admits how he feels for her. I enjoyed this story quite a bit but the end does feel a bit rushed.

A quick read but had everything you want if you are looking for it in a book. Suspense in that Evil the crime lord is looking for the people who are wanting to harm his PA. Noel who had been working for Evil for months tells Evil that the bruise isn’t that bad and she is okay. He sees red. After everything he does he cannot be tough with her anymore and they end up in bed together. His problem comes when he wants to keep her confined and to her, that is like a prison, so after walking in front of the guards naked he starts to understand that she is not one to be taken lightly.
This was a good book with some really hot bedroom scenes and kitchen ones as well. This helped the story and made Evil not so bad. You get to see a different side of his character when he is with Noel and the two of them together make a good team. The ending is really good and her character is very good. I found this to be a good book.

I want this to be a full blown book so bad! I love the energy that both of the main characters give off. Noelle doesn't shy away from Evil after seeing how he truly is. I love that she just embraced him. Sam Crescent writes amazing "touch her and you die" alphas.

If you're looking for a spicy novella with these vibes definitely check this out!

This is the 3rd book in the series but it can be read as a standalone. When Evil sees Noelle, he knows that she will be his. He hires her as is PA and when she is attacked he will stop at nothing to protect her. Fast-paced read with intense chemistry, loads of drama, emotion and steam. I liked it.

Ding! Ding! We have a winner!

This is the book that got me out of my reading slump. Mr Evil and Noelle are a good match. They're both perfectly broken. I love the complexity of Crescent's characters, and how well he writes relationships and friendships. The writing and world building are awesome. This book is a spicy meatball and really sweet read.

The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thank You NetGalley for the eARC. I read this as a stand alone because I am a huge fan of the author. It was OK as a stand alone I Just wish I had the back story. For Xmas i will be buying myself everything this author has ever written ha ha. If you like a man to take charge and protect you at all costs (like I do) then this is the book for you!

I love Sam Crescent's world building and characters. The beginning feels like you are dropped in the middle of the story. There was pretty steamy smut in this, and it was really a great read eventually they both get their happily ever after.

I'm not sure if this book is part of a series, but I felt dropped in the middle of a story. It was a short read with a lot of sex and not a lot of plot. Definitely recommend if you don’t want a heavy read or don’t have time to invest in the characters.

This author writes just the kind of “I’ll do anything for her” heroes I love. Completely OTT and obsessed with their women. This had a quick paced storyline with interesting characters and a heroine who had a great backbone. Throw in a breeding kink & I was a happy reader. Loved it!
