Yes it's a little implausible and so on but this has a good heart, Gia's to do list- things to improve - ends up stuck on the food delivery bag- and then Ben finds it. He starts an exchange of notes with her, creating a relationship that's nurtured thank goodness not with emails. They both have issues to work through (this has some serious moments) but fans of the genre know that , well, all will be good. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. Escapist read, And the receipts had me craving various dishes!

This felt like a Sophie Kinsella book but not as good. I wanted to like the book very much but it tries a bit too hard and lacks charm. There are also just too many characters in the book - and caring about them seems impossible. Mimi tries to add a funny character - Jay - who was painful to read. I did not/ could not finish the book.

When Gia accidentally kisses her boss at the Christmas party she is not looking forward to the coming year and writes a list to change things.

But while accidentally dropping her list in the takeaway delivery bag it comes into the hands of Ben, who then writes back to her.

This novel reminded me of the romantic film you've got mail. Spanning over months with weekly takeaways and letters.

I loved how Deb wrote this novel with deep themes such as friendship, family and alcoholism. The narrative showed the struggles of both characters and how they developed within the novel. With each chapter switching between the two main characters.

I was unsure if I liked the side characters as I found them questionable and was always suspicious of them. I found this an easy read, however slow in places.

An interesting book but I didn’t click with it, I found it perhaps slightly difficult to get into and I found it to be quite deep for a romcom, still a good read and would recommend.

Great book! It was fun and hooking. Although reading it in PDF was a little annoying but overall, good book.

I wanted to like this novel, but it took me too long to get into it. I didn’t really like the main character. She seemed like a sad sack and spent a lot of time drinking. Both main characters have had problems that they need to overcome, but the writing style made it hard for me to warm up to either one of them. Maybe I needed them to meet in person earlier than about halfway through the story. By then I just didn’t like any of the characters and found I couldn’t care much about how they were going to resolve their issues.

This was so much fun, I loved it! The couples dynamic was amazing, a comfort read for sure, I can't wait for this book to come out.

I honestly could not get into this book. The main characters were annoying, Gia mostly. The writing was choppy and all over the place. There are tons of mistakes throughout that hopefully get fixed before print. Also the spacing and paragraph forming were all off on this ebook, which made it hard to read and ruined the flow.

The New Year's resolution list that Gia wrote, which is suppose to start this new twist in fate, was just awful. I honestly don't know what sparked Ben to even write back. It just felt rushed in the beginning and didn't make a whole lot of sense.

This just wasn't for me.

A bit of a mad romp around London and then further. Some heartbreaking moments and decisions in the middle of the book as we really get to know Ben and Gia. Demanding, and bonkers, parents that many will recognise ice the novel!

A little slow at the beginning but it developed very well and it was a very good read. The characters came together well and all in all it is a very good read. 5 stars

I devoured this tasty love story by Mimi Deb! I had a blast getting to know Gia and Ben, and their individual successes and shortcomings. The idea of trading love-letters through take-away food is brilliant, and Deb did a spectacular job bringing the food-delivery industry to life. Bonus props for highlighting the need for more sober establishments for the non-drinking community. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a cozy meet-cute, but be warned, Gia's takeaway receipts are sure to make you crave a plate (or two!) of delicious Indian cuisine!

The formatting of the ebook isn’t good enough to read. It got extremely confusing, with all the spacing, no paragraphs when there should be paragraphs. Hopefully these are fixed in the final version.

The plot and writing also didn’t reach a point I could get past the formatting issues. The pacing was off and there are way too many side characters in the beginning

I couldn’t get into this book at all. I didn’t like the main characters, found them really difficult to connect with or sympathise with, I found the writing style was too ‘wordy’ And the storyline was sadly boring to me. Others may enjoy this read but it wasn’t for me!

Slow burning love story but worth the wait!

This book was painstakingly boring. The FMC was so annoying, and behaved as if the world revolved around her. The cute cover and description of the book initially drew me in, unfortunately this one fell flat majorly. I was super excited to read this in hopes that it was something a bit different. Sadly I felt super confused as to what was happening at times, many many formatting issues with the book. That I hope are fixed before publishing.

Gia has an embarrassing list of New Year's resolutions that somehow make it to the restaurant Ben works at. He starts to slip notes into her takeout each week. A love story?

I liked this well enough, but it was slow. I couldn't connect to the characters very well, but I appreciated the dual POVs.

Good. Even though I enjoyed the love story between the two characters their own stories felt a bit disappointing. As some bits felt rushed and didn't make sense.

Gia moved to London from India five years ago. She has a job at a marketing company and her own apartment but despite having things together, she doesn’t feel like she fits in. She wears bright and sparkly and doesn’t believe in herself. When he resolution list In beautiful calligraphy gets stuck at the bottom of a take away bag from the Namaste take away, Ben discovers the list and starts writing back to Gia with each take away she orders. Ben feels like a failure and has kept his life small, but when they write to each other, they share and are able to appreciate the best in each other.

𝗠𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀
This was a slow read for me, but I can appreciate that this lovely story unfolds little by little. When connections are made, co-incidences discovered, Ben and Gia edge closer and closer to each other’s orbits. This story feels like it orbits a very British type of slow vibe, something I would expect from a Beth O’Leary type story. I enjoyed the epistolary aspects and the parts where Gia and Ben become their true selves, wearing sparkles, quoting Shakespeare, and encouraging those around them. ❤️

I loved the premise of writing notes to each other, so I couldn't wait to read this. This is quite a slow burn read with lots of character background build-up. It did take a while to get into it.

On the whole, it was a fun and cute read.
