I really tried to get on with this one, but it just wasn't for me. I didn't enjoy the writing style, and felt that the narrative often got very bogged down with boring unimportant details. I persisted, despite my misgivings, as it was an advance reader copy, but I found this one predictable.

Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for granting me a free ARC copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

A great domestic suspense tale! Sandwiched with manipulation, secrets, lies, deception and gaslighting, The New Wife held my rapt attention from the start. I raced through the pages eager to uncover the truth of who was behind the attacks and why. With short and concise chapters it was an easy reader and thoroughly entertaining throughout. The New Wife has everything; a creepy stalker, exes and hateful stepchildren. Jammed with red herrings and twists, I can't wait for more.

I received a complimentary copy of this novel at my request from Joffe Books via NetGalley. This review is my own unbiased opinion.

I really couldn't get into this book. I thought it was a bit too slow, jarring and not very engaging. I also didn't like the characters.

I received an arc copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for my honest opinion of it. I thought all the characters were annoying and I couldn't get into the storyline. I was actually skimming through and could not finish. Two grown adult women trying to break up their dad's marriage was a little too much.

Disgusting 😂
Nell Cosgrove is the new wife who got it all. She married her handsome, wealthy boss within six months of meeting him. They live in a beautiful riverside home. She has a flourishing career. The only problem is her two stepdaughters, Ruby and Poppy, who are fiercely loyal to their mother, and reject all her overtures.
But now everything is falling apart. Nell’s marriage is starting to crack. Her husband spends more and more time away on business. She gets creepy text messages from an unknown admirer. He sends mysterious bouquets of flowers to her office. She starts making mistakes at work.

I was not expecting the twists and turns in this thriller!

These step daughters really hate their new step mom! And so many different things kept happening, she was really being gaslit, and it kept me guessing too!

Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the advanced copy of the book.

New wives and stepmothers are a popular "enemy" for writers of psychological thrillers.

Nell married her husband just months after meeting him. She has a successful career. But her stepdaughters Poppy and Ruby are determined to see the back of Nell and have their father reuniting with their mother, who has become depressed and reclusive.

Are the two girls behind everything that starts to go wrong for Nell? Her husband starts spending more time away from home and gets suspicious when he sees a rogue text on her phone from an admirer.

Plenty of twists and shocks along the way.

I found this book quite slow, and I didn’t like the characters very much. They were too shallow and completely wrapped up,in themselves. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

This book was a fantastic psychological thriller that I could not leave down until I had finished it. It was such a different story to a lot of books I have read, so many twists and turns and lots of suspense that left you wanting to keep reading after every chapter. The characters were all very intriguing and so well written that you felt you were with them at every point. I would really recommend this book to everybody that loves amazing mystery and thriller books by a fantastic author

Both authors write amazing books, but when they get together you know it's time to buckle up as they're going to take you on one helluva twisty ride!

The New Wife is a slow burning starter that soon picks up pace, with suspense and tension by the bucket load.

As plots go this was cleverly done and as always, just when I thought I knew what was going on, something else came along and blew my theories to shreds.

I read the book in one sitting as it was so easy to lose yourself within its pages, the story compelling you to read 'just one more chapter'.

I took an instant dislike to both of Oliver's girls and automatically felt sorry for Nell and how they were all treating her, but who was behind it all? That's for me to know and you to find out I'm afraid...

Many thanks to Zooloo's Book Tours for my tour spot.

I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review.

The New Wife is a cleverly told story about Nell. Nell is married to Oliver and is his second wife. Oliver has two daughters from his previous marriage (Ruby and Poppy). Nell feels on top of the world - wonderful husband, nice home and great job. But after hiring a new assistant at work strange things start occurring in Nells work and home life. Nell is made to look like she's having an affair behind Olivers back and even marriage counselling doesn't be seeming to help smooth over the cracks appearing in her life and marriage. Poppy and Ruby seem to openly despise Nell but Oliver seems blind to this. Nell falls upon her councillor and new assistant to help her but whoever is doing this to her has only just got started.
This was such a fast paced, suspenseful read and I couldn't put it down. I was desperate to find out who it was and why they were doing this to her. If you love fast paced thrillers you definitely need to give this a read.

This book was a little slow going for me in the beginning. I’m glad I stuck with it, though. It really started to pick up about a third of the way in, and I stayed up way too late because I just had to finish it. Lots of good twists and turns and a final resolution I didn’t see coming- just what I like in a thriller.

Thanks to NetGalley and Joffe Books for the ARC.
