Book 5 in the Drew family is every bit as good as the previous ones, if not better. Despite the fact that the family are gangsters, I have a degree of sympathy for Scarlet! The story and plotting is good and the characters are well developed in this fast paced read. The author keeps you engrossed right until the end, which leaves it open for another chapter. This is a brilliant gangland thriller which I would highly recommend to lovers of the genre. Thanks to Net Galley for my ARC.

I can’t believe we’re on book 5 already in this brilliant series.
This is just as good as the previous books and definitely left me wanting more.
Emma Tallon is my favourite gangland crime writer and I just love the Drew family.
After the shock in the last book Scarlet and Lily are both dealing with their own situations but pulling together as a family when it matters.
Connor and Cillian are also dealing with stuff but their anger towards their mum takes a while to thaw.
In this book there’s plenty of treachery and it’s a bit closer to home than Lily would like, but as always, it gets dealt with.
Scarlet is on the hunt for Ruby and will stop at nothing to make her suffer for what she did to her.
This is a brilliant book with crime and family at its heart.
If you’ve not read this series then pick up book 1 and get stuck in as it’s absolutely brilliant.
Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

I’d like to thank Bookouture and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘Her Fight’, book five in the Drew Family series and written by Emma Tallon, in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Scarlet wants revenge on Ruby for revealing her relationship with John Richards, a detective inspector with London’s Met Police, and forcing him to leave for another country where he’ll be safe. As her Aunt Lily, head of the gangster Drew family, and her cousins Cillian and Connor continue their search for Ruby, they need to keep one step ahead of DI Jennings and DC Ascough who are watching Scarlet’s every move, intent on finding the evidence to lock them all up for a very long time.

‘Her Fight’ is another heart-stopping thriller that’s had me totally gripped and unable to stop reading. It has an abundance of suspense and excitement as we go from one drama to the next with too many bloodthirsty twists and turns to count, until we reach the shocking conclusion. The epilogue leaves us with a cliffhanger and what promises to be another exciting book in the lives of the Drews. This series just keeps getting better and better and I can’t wait for book number six.

This series is a spinoff from the Anna Davis series, which you should read first but not necessary to know what is going on. You do want to read this series in order to understand the characters.
As always I enjoyed this book and the ending... perfect.
Scarlet Drew is hellbent on getting revenge on her cousin Ruby after she exposed Scarlet’s illicit affair with a Met detective. Scarlett's Aunt Lily knows that Scarlet will kill Ruby if she is found. Even though Ruby is her daughter she does understand why but would like to find Ruby first.
Scarlet's other enemy is a cop, who was partners with Scarlet's lover. Who also was in love with him.
The Drew's are also dealing with a secret that came out n the last book and how the boys are dealing with it.
Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for another great read from this author.

Book 5 in the Drew Family series that as with the previous books was a brilliant and unputdownable read. From the prologue this book had me hooked and I couldn’t turn the pages quickly enough to find out how things were going to end. In this book Scarlet is out to get revenge on her cousin Ruby for what she has done in the previous book. Every chapter of this book was filled with tension and suspense . Ms Tallon writes this series so well that you almost feel that you are part of this family sharing their infamous sunday lunches with them. This book can be read as a standalone but if you haven’t read the other books in this series I highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed.

Gritty Crime Thriller.
Scarlet Drew is sitting across from DI Jennings, she was no longer unnerved by this man, the threats would not make her talk, murder is not what she would ever admit to, they would not find her boyfriend John Richards, he saved her from prison, they knew the truth, now she had to fight to save both their skins.
Book Five of this hard hitting Drew family series that I just loved every single one.
Scarlet is on a mission to find her cousin Ruby, a toxic disease in their family she needs to pay for what she has done.
I loved it from start to finish and could not leave it unread, a cracking book once again and the end is just the beginning of another book that I eagerly await to read. 5 stars.

Drew Family #5

Scarlet Drew is hellbent on getting revenge on her cousin Ruby after she exposed Scalet's illicit affair with a Met Detective. Scarlet fears she will never see her boyfriend again now he's in hiding, and she wants to make Ruby pay. With all her focus on Ruby, Scarlet fails to notice an old enemy rearing its ugly head. Trapped in an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of London with her Aunt Lily, she realises too late the danger they're in, and that someone has been feeding their most dangerous rival information - someone from the family firm.

I'm a huge fan of Emma Tallon, she never disappoints. Everyone seems to be trying to find the opportunity to get their revenge on Scarlet. And Scarlet wants her revenge on her cousin Ruby. The Drew family are back, but is there a traitor amongst them? DC Jenny Ascough is hoping to gather enough evidence so that she can throw Scarlet in jail. With all this and more going on, I could not turn the pages quickly enough. I was drawn in from the first page. This fast-paced read is filled with strong, well-developed characters. I love this gangland series. This book could be read as a standalone, but you're best to read them in the order they are written in. You won't be disappointed.

I would like to thank #NetGalley #Bookouture and the author #EmmaTallon for my ARC of #HerFight in exchange for an honest review.

This is book # 5 in the Drew series, and as engrossing as the previous books in the series. While this book can be read stand-alone, this series is best read in sequence. If you like gang-crime, this is an excellent series.

Scarlet Drew had to painfully part with John, with whom she had fallen in love, after she was setup by her cousin Ruby. Ruby is out of sight, but lurking in the shadows close by. Both Scarlet and Ruby are burning with rage, hoping to get back at the other. After some revelations regarding their family, there is a distance between Lily Drew and her sons Cillian and Connor. It also appears that Ray who was earlier a benefactor of the family, is now becoming a rival. DC Jenny Ascough is tailing Scarlet, hoping to gather evidence against her and throw her in jail. This is also personal for her as she loved John, and thinks he has been killed by the Drew family. These problems aside, there may be a traitor in their gang, waiting for an opportunity to steal from them.

This is a series I love. The story & writing is very good, the characters well developed and it is well paced. While I was not too happy at how the track with Ruby evolved, I also recognize there were not too many choices.

The way it ends, another book in the series will come and I eagerly await it!

My rating: 4.5 / 5.

Book #5 in the Drew family series, and they just keep getting better! I didn't think the last one could be topped but this one has just lifted the bar yet again. I love catching up the family and their many friends and foes. Looking forward to the next instalment.

Her Fight by Emma Tallon is book 5 in the ‘Drew family series’. Following from the previous instalment Scarlett out for revenge after what Ruby did to John. But first, Scarlett must find her. Ruby on the other hand, is planning her revenge and getting rid of Scarlett and taking the top spot away from Scarlett and she will do anything to get it.
But that’s not all. DC Jenny Ascough, wants to know what happened to John. He was a good copper and she had feelings for him, and she would go above and beyond to find out what happened to him. Even breaking the law to find out where he is. Did Scarlett kill him? Where is his body?
Her fight is another tension filled episode of the Drew family That you can’t put down. Although they are a gangland family, I felt sorry for Scarlett everyone seems to be gunning for her throughout the book. The author is a great storyteller and good and keeping you hooked though out the book with lots of surprises along the way. I love reading her books she never disappoints. Another excellent episode in the series and can’t wait for the next book. 5 stars from me.

This is book #5 in the Drew Family Series. Whilst it is part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone book, although I would recommend reading the books in series order. We take another visit to the Drew family, where the story picks up from the previous book. Scarlett Drew is out for revenge with her cousin Ruby following Ruby’s actions. The matriarch of the family, Lily Drew has problems of her own after the bombshell dropped on her sons concerning their father. The family also have problems with other firms who are trying to muscle in on their businesses. There’s a lot going on, but all the different storylines effortlessly switch between each other alongside the usual family tensions and business complications from this gangland family!

No matter how violent or gory these books are, you can’t help but like the Drew family! Lily Drew has to be my favourite, she’s such a great character! You really want to be at one of her family Sunday dinners, but you also know not to get on the wrong side of her for fear of what might happen! This book gives Lily more than a few headaches after problems with Ray, her boys, Ruby, and her various businesses. Scarlett is still having to deal with the aftermath of her boyfriend, John’s disappearance, and all the way through the book we are kept in suspense wondering what she will do to Ruby when she finds her!

The whole storyline is so tense, it’s verging on the border of everything blowing up in the Drew family’s faces! Yes, it’s violent – there are shootings, beatings and plenty of acts of violence, but it’s a gangland book, I wouldn’t expect anything any less! It is though gritty, gripping, and realistic with storylines that fit into each other perfectly! The tension runs high throughout, and I found myself not wanting to turn the page in some parts for fear of what I might find! The writing is exciting, and you find yourself caught up in all the action, just like you were actually there. There are lots of shocking moments, and a few have left me thinking what the hell is going to happen in the next book! Roll on book #6! Would recommend!

The latest installment in the Drew family series see Scarlett Drew hellbent on revenge on her cousin Ruby for ruining Scarlett's future with the love of her life John.
Ruby is also out to ruin Scarlett's life and she doesn't care how far she goes to get rid of her cousin once and for all. There can only be one winner in the end in this brilliant written series.
Can't wait for the next installment.
If you haven't read any of the books in this series yet can still read this as a standalone you will definitely want to read the ones you've missed guaranteed.
Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for the ARC.

Emma Tallon is back for Book 5 in the ‘Drew Family Series’and this time long time scores WILL be settled and characters who have just about survived due to family loyalty will be targeted…of course,as always and I think I always put it,it was great to be back with the ‘Drews’,I feel I know them well and almost expect an invite to the strictly ‘family only’ Sunday dinners that Lil and Cath hold, the books are addictive as is the family and you are drawn in yet again in this story to their lives and deeds, good and bad, and feel you are part of it
The authors writing is superb, I wasn’t quite sure how this one would end, very much a ‘will it,wont it’ be type of ending, needless to say it was very well done
All I can say is roll on Book 6,this series is part of my reading life now and I genuinely love every book
