I did not like this book at all. I liked nothing about Griffin the story felt so boring between the 2 main leads. I wanted to read more about Fox and Clem to be honest. even tho I did finish the book and the writing is pretty well I just did not feel the connection

A Haven for the Wanderer is the third in the Rosebrook Romance series by Jenny Frame. In order to understand all of the characters and their backstory, I'd recommend reading The Duchess and the Dreamer and Home is Where the Heart is before reading this book.

Griffin Harris was introduced in a previous book as the head brew master at the brew factory in Rosebrook. This is a temporary assignment in her mind since she loves travelling and wandering the world, But she has a secret from a recent visit with her mother who is recovering from a heart attack that may keep her in Rosebrook.

Bronte de Lacey is the daughter of a baroness who wants Bronte to settle down, marry a rich man, and start a family. But the Rosebrook village trust hires Bronte as an animal rehabilitator charged with saving animals in the region.

When Bronte and Griffin initially meet there is a spark between the two women. They eventually begin to spend time together as Griffin helps an injured Bronte setup animal pens for her new job. They grow closer, but Griffin makes it clear to Bronte that she will be leaving after the first of the year.

This was a quick read that brings the reader up to date on past Rosebrook characters such as Fox, Clem, Ash, Archie, and others. As in past books, the environment was quite LGBTQIAP+ friendly with a fair percentage of the characters being a member of the community. 4.25 stars

I received an ARC from Bold Strokes Books and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
