I've been really into reading books on finances lately and Cash is Queen; A Girl's Guide to Securing, Spending and Stashing Cash by Davinia Tomlinson did not disappoint! I was truly thankful to have gotten to read this before most people! I would like to purchase this one for my physical library! I want to make notes and write in it :)

I absolutely loved this book! As I delved into its pages, I felt like I was having a heartfelt conversation with a wise friend. The way Davinia Tomlinson connects with young women like me is remarkable. She gets that discussing money can be intimidating, and her relatable tone made me feel empowered rather than overwhelmed. The book's insights into saving, spending, and investing were eye-opening, and I appreciated how it stressed the importance of building a positive money mindset from an early age. It's more than just a guide, it's a roadmap to financial confidence and independence. This book is a must-read for any young woman stepping into the world of finances.

The chapters are separated so that everything fits, although at first I thought, why does this come first?
There are exercises and practical examples that help to understand what they have just explained to us.
With an easy, simple and in some moments impressive language.
It has helped me understand certain things about the economy and saving.
The drawings and the structure are a good incentive to read.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to review an ARC of this book. I really enjoyed all the pictures and theme of this book.

It was set up very well and flowed well. I wish it got to the tips a little bit quicker but it was still friendly and informative. Perfect for the GenZ looking to balance money! Great gift for a friend too.

This is a money book that I did not know I needed . Cash Queen is the best teenage guide on all things money and I loved that the language was easy to understand. The book focused on money habits, budgeting methods that include zero based budgeting, 50/30/20 and deciding whether what you want is a need or want. The book is perfect for every teenage girl and I cannot recommend it enough. I received a complimentary copy and all opinions expressed are entirely my own.

This book has a lot of great information about money and budgeting for younger girls. I love the dynamic illustrations and quick pace. This creates a space where a lot of information is given in an engaging way that is not boring at all. This book has excellent tips for many people, even I found a lot of the information in here valuable to keep in mind going forward. Money can be a scary subject, but this book is an excellent approach to it.

I am not even completely done with this book but I needed to get this review out NOW so hopefully more people would get this book!!! With clear and direct advice, an intuitive layout, a relatable writing style, and a unique aesthetic, Tomlinson has crafted the perfect book for people who have a bit of money trauma. Finances can be so confusing and advice is often demeaning or underhanded, but Cash is Queen has helped me understand topics that were otherwise confusing and stressful and Davinia Tomlinson has helped me in my relationship to money. If you're looking for the perfect pocket book to look up something quick or a deep dive into what the monetary world around you looks like, Cash is Queen delivers. A great addition to any bookshelf.

Cash is Queen is the perfect, succinct guide on all things money, aimed at teenage girls. It covers the basics on the sometimes daunting topic, in an accessible, fun way. The language used makes it highly readable, whilst delivered in an upbeat manner. There is a real emphasis on how important it is to have a positive mindset when it comes down to taking charge of your money. The way Cash is Queen is packaged, in terms of layout, design and illustrations is so charming and striking, which helps to deliver such a heavy topic in a really digestible format.

As a female in her early thirties, I was genuinely curious to see if I could learn anything new about money as I’ve always shied away from the subject. (So overwhelming!) I would say that I definitely gained some good take-aways from the book, even though I wasn’t exactly the intended audience. It would be amazing to see some spin off versions of Cash is Queen, for sure! This book should have a place in school libraries everywhere, alternatively it would make a lovely gift to help empower the young women of today.

With thanks to Netgalley for this ARC.
