ARC Netgalley review

Right out the gate in the introduction the author lacks information about which deck & meanings are being used, lack basic information to later understand why they feel such card would have said meaning. This seems to be a clout relationship tarot book. The basic fundamentals are missing !!!!!!!

More and more ‘tarot readers’ that right books lack the basic information and knowledge-

"Tarot in Love" by Elliot Adam is a heartfelt exploration of the intertwining worlds of tarot and love. Adam's deep understanding of both subjects is evident as he delves into the intricate connections between tarot cards and matters of the heart. The book's insightful interpretations and practical guidance offer a unique approach to using tarot for matters of love and relationships. Adam's thoughtful exploration of symbolism and intuition creates a bridge between tarot's wisdom and matters of emotion. "Tarot in Love" is a valuable resource that provides readers with the tools to navigate the complexities of love through the lens of tarot, making it an essential read for those seeking to explore both realms with depth and sensitivity.

Hands down this is an amazing book. I have been reading tarot for over 30 years. Most tarot books include repetitive information like history and all the basics. It was refreshing for these not to be included for a change. We honestly don't need this information in every book. I love how the author gives a quick break down of the book and what to expect and then delves right in.

Often times authors concentrate on the major arcana and skimp out on the pips/minor arcana. You won't find that here, you will find the same amount of effort and detail in every card. I really like how different love situations are broken down and how the same effort was also given to the reversals.

I seldom find good tarot books on love, they often miss the mark. Not here you will find meanings and advice for different stages of relationships, even intimacy! Which seems to alway be overlooked but a much needed topic to address.

When you look at the individual meanings to different types of situations, you can see how it relates to the card and its standard meaning. I really enjoyed how to the point the explanations were. The language is easy to understand as are the points being made.

This is a must have as a reference book in your tarot library.

I loved this book so much that I bought it when it came out and his previous book, Fearless Tarot, which I had overlooked simply because of the name. (I don't fear anything about tarot.) This has become one of my top go-to books.

As someone who has been happily married half of her 50-some years, I was only semi-interested in this one in case I wanted to read for someone who needed advice in the realm of the romantic. And it works very well for that, both upright and reversed meanings are given, He even breaks down the difference between New Relationship, Long-Term Partnership, Intimacy, Seeking Romance, and Desires. I appreciate how us long-termers are not left out.

But even if none of that interests you, every card has a section entitled: What the TAROT CARD May Be Teaching This section alone had me off to buy Fearless Tarot. He is gently encouraging throughout while not hedging anything. Filled with understanding and actionable advice, I look forward to seeing what else Mr. Adam publishes through the years.

I have a decades long interest in tarot cards, and I am also a fan of the Elliot Adam, author of Tarot in Love. I have read his previous book "Fearless Tarot" with delight and followed him on Instagram for some time, so I jumped at the opportunity to read this latest release.

Without a doubt, a question everyone has during a reading, centers on love or romance. "When will I find it", "Is this the one?", "Will they come back", etc... you get the idea. Tarot in Love is a deep dive into all the love and romance questions. Each card has a meaning (sometimes multiple!) in Elliott lingo (interpret as easy to understand) and although I don't use reversals, he has included both upright and reversed interpretations for every card.

Tarot in Love is a great resource filled with a plethora of knowledge for any tarot reader of any experience level. Many thanks to Llewellyn Worldwide and Netgalley for this electronic copy (all opinions expressed in this review are authentically mine).

This is a great addition to any tarot reader’s library. It puts each card in the context of romantic love to help aid in any readings you might do for yourself or others. It also includes a section at the end with a handful of spreads to try out.

I thought this was really insightful and found it to be a great tool.

Really good addition if wanting more insight or doing more workings with love and relationships. does give reverse meanings. I do like that the court cards are with the rest of their suit.

I appreciate this book for giving interpretations on all of the tarot cards from major arcana to minor arcana, as well as how each card can be interpreted for different romantic situations such as new relationship, long-term partnership, intimacy, seeking romance, and desire. I personally don't care about reversed cards but this book also offered reversed card interpretations for each romantic situations. This is perfect for tarot beginners.

The wise counsel in this well-written guidebook does exactly what I'm looking for when I do a tarot reading for myself: it invariably brings order to my frazzled mind. At these times, I'm usually looking for wise counsel from my higher self.

When my emotions get in the way or I am too negative about a situation to think clearly, I meditate for a few minutes then shuffle my favourite deck of tarot cards. Often, the familiar routine of shuffling and then laying out the cards in a Celtic Cross spread will center me and focus my chaotic thoughts. It is surprising how many times I get either a sympathetic "buck up girl, things will be better soon/you will make it through this current strife (Strength card)/ this is a necessary growing pain (Two of Swords)" message, or a "stop whining, you are blowing things out of proportion" spread (9 of Swords).

The introductory pages of this book, describing the frenzied mindset of a "reader in the dire throes of love" had me howling with sympathetic laughter. Love - especially unrequited love - can be a confusing, often painful journey. Self doubt plagues us all.

What you will find here is a no-nonsense layout of possible interpretations for a reading that will help reset a love-lorn reader's frazzled thought patterns. There is some really helpful advice in each and every card interpretation. The sensible advice at the end of each section is sure to set you back on the path to emotional rationality!

I highly recommend this thoughtful - often sympathetic - guidebook. You may be able to get yourself out of the doldrums by doing your own tarot reading once you've read through <u>Tarot in Love.<./u>. At the very least you'll get a laugh or two from some of the ridiculous results that can occur during a random deal. Mind you, some of the "gibberish readings" I have done which did not answer my particular question at the time, will, in hindsight, have contained an insight regarding something else in my life that would soon take priority. Cracks me up every time!

My thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for an ARC of this excellent guidebook on love and the tarot in exchange for an honest review.

Reading for relationships can be a bit different than the readings, and this book is a great help with the former. Take your Love readings to the next level with everything covered in this book. It is a great addition to your Tarot tool box!

Tarot in Love is an excellent resource and packed full of unique explanations. Elliot Adam provides lots of alternative versions for each card and expresses the importance of situational energy allowing for a unique take on tarot. I highly enjoyed this and will be recommending it to my friends, especially those freshly into Tarot.

If you want a 400 page book that basically gives a card 5 new meanings just for relationships; then this book is for you. Queen of Swords for example has 9 pages of meanings. I feel like this could have been shortened by 200 pages as a lot of it is redundant.
