Sixteenth in this series featuring Josie Quinn and her likeable bunch of workmates. Lots of twists and I didn't have a clue who the killer was. A great read..

Another great chapter in the Josie Quinn saga…Lisa sure knows how to keep us guessing…I had not an inkling of you the culprit was until the denouement! Lisa continues to build and cultivate Josie’s world and cast of characters with such finesse. You can’t go wrong with a Josie Quinn thriller.

Lisa hit this one out of the park! Such a brilliant read and a true mystery/ thriller, with our favourite lead detective at the helm. So many twists and turns that truly kept you on the edge of your seat.

Thank you to the publisher for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this complex murder mystery….though it seemed extreme measures for the culprit to get revenge. I didn’t realize it was book 16 of the series but that didn’t really Take away from tHe story though there were many references to,the past.

This is the most amazing murder mystery series and I have read thousands of books. I literally can't wait for the next book to come out and almost feel like saying to my family "sorry guys, mum is going to be unavailable in the next day" LOL!!!
This is pure joy to read about Josie and Noah and I want this series to never stop!

Beau and Claudia Collins have it all - but could they be a little bit TOO perfect, perhaps?

That is what Josie Quinn needs to figure out, as Claudia as well as others close to her, are murdered. Together with her husband and work partner, Noah, she sets out to unravel the mystery of the deaths. Why is there a puzzle box placed in their hands? What did those women actually DO to be treated the way that they were? Is Beau as great as everyone says he is?

Terrific story, as usual.

4.5 stars from me.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture.

I enjoyed reading more about Josie and Noah. There were so many twists and turns that it really kept me guessing as to who the killer was. I was totally surprised, I recommend this book for a really good mystery along with a bit of romance. I received an advance copy of the book but this is my honest opinion.

IMHO this is the best book in an excellent series. Creative premise with social relevance, exciting, and satisfying. Regan is keeping the books fresh and strong.

Lisa Regan has done it again with her Josie Quinn series. The Innocent Wife (#16 in the series) did not disappoint, it is fast paced and was a page turner!

Beau and Claudia are a power couple that have it all, or so it seems. They are ready to celebrate their anniversary when Claudia ends up dead. What was this couple hiding and who wanted them dead? The next day one of their assistants is found dead and it is game on.
Josie and her team are investigating and so is Josie's ex fiance, Luke. They are working feverishly to try to find the killer before more people are killed and to figure out the game is playing before more people are killed. Some people he knows are now missing and Beau knows he needs to come clean about some things before more people he cares about are killed.

This book has the usual twists and turns of all the books in the Josie series and I couldn't put it down until I had the answers and knew who Beau and Claudia really were, the lies and secrets that formed their marriage.

Thank you to Netgallery for the Advance Copy of this book.

I love the Detective Josie Quinn series! I can't believe this is the 16th book in the series. The Innocent Wife is another great addition. The more you get into this series the better it gets. While this book can be read as a standalone, you would be depriving yourself if you did not read the previous books to get an understanding of the characters and their relationships, especially Josie and Noah's.

As with the previous books, I enjoy the grittiness of this thriller and the twists and surprises that are revealed as we progress. It moves at a fast pace and is written in such a way that it pulls you in and before you know it you're, sadly, turning the final page. I can’t wait to see what comes next. I highly recommend this series.

I am delighted to be catching up with the latest happenings in this great series featuring Detective Josie Quinn, written by Lisa Regan. I dived into this series at book nine but The Innocent Wife can be read as a standalone if you are starting the series here. It was captivating, and a briskly-paced police procedural with more than enough action taking place to retain my interest. Once hooked, I was glued to the pages and it was a ride of surprises along with the stylish and tense plot. The story effortlessly flowed and there was never a dull moment as the plot beelined for the finale. Josie makes a tough, determined and admirable protagonist and once again, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with her. The Innocent Wife contains drama, deception, suspense and tension by the shedload and I highly recommend this immersive novel which will delight all readers, both series stalwarts and new readers. I am eagerly anticipating what Lisa Regan has in store for Josie Quinn next!

I received a complimentary copy of this novel at my request from Bookouture, via NetGalley and this review is my own unbiased opinion.

I think this is the most complex story that I've read so far in the Detective Josie Quinn series and I have read them all. The Innocent Wife primarily starts with the murder of local psychologist Claudia. Claudia and her husband Beau who is also a psychologist have a relationship advice show on Denton's local TV station. Their "brand" depends on them being perceived as happily married and devoted to eachother and by all accounts this does seem to be true. So, what could possibly be the motive for Claudia's murder? I really enjoyed this book, it kept me turning the pages as I had to find out what happened, that's always a great sign of a cracking story! Thank you NetGalley for my advance copy.

Lisa Regan does it again with another Josie Quinn book. I just love all the characters in this Series, and I cannot get enough of the books. I will read this series until Lisa stops writing it.

I normally love this series but I really struggled to get into this one and I can’t put my finger on why. It seemed to be a bit long so dragged in places. That being said the twists and turns kept me guessing and there were so many red herrings I had no idea who the killer was. Every time I thought we knew all of the secrets another one was uncovered and one of the twists blew my mind. Whilst it wasn’t my favourite I did still enjoy it and I love Josie, Noah, and the team. 3.5 rounded up to 4

I received a copy of the ebook via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

BLOG TOUR REVIEW

Review for 'The Innocent Wife' by Lisa Regan.

Read and reviewed via NetGalley for Lisa Regan, Bookouture publishers and Bookouture anonymous

Publication date 12th December 2022.

This is the fifth book I have read by this author. It is the fifteenth book in the 'Detective Josie Quinn' series. It can be read as a standalone. I have previously read 'Her Deadly Touch' which is the twelfth book in the series, 'The Drowning Girls' which is the thirteenth book in this series, 'Watch Her Disappear' which is the fourteenth book in this series and 'Local Girl Missing' which is the fifteenth book in the series. I would highly recommend them all whether read as standalones or in order as a whole series.

I was originally drawn to this book by its beautiful cover and intriguing sounding synopsis and title. I am a huge fan of Lisa and if this is half as good as 'Her Deadly Touch', 'The Drowning Girls', 'Watch Her Disappear' and 'Local Girl Missing' it is guaranteed to be a page turner. The synopsis stated that this book is 'An absolutely gripping rollercoaster of a crime thriller from an Amazon, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author. Guaranteed to have you sleeping with the lights on and shouting from the rooftops about the twists, it’s perfect for fans of Angela Marsons, Robert Dugoni and Rachel Caine'. I am a huge fan of Angela Marsons so am looking forward to seeing if this lives up to this statement. I must admit I was also biased due to the publisher being Bookouture. I have yet to read a book published by Bookouture that I haven't enjoyed. Hopefully this won't be the first... Watch this space! (Written before I started reading the book).

This novel consists of a prologue and 57 chapters. The chapters are short to medium in length so possible to read 'just one more chapter' before bed...OK, I know yeah right, but still just in case!

This book is based in Pensylvannia, USA 🇺🇸

This book is written in third person perspective and the main protagonists are Detective Josie Quinn. The benefits of third person perspective are that it let's you see the bigger picture of what's going on and you get to know more characters more, what they are thinking and what they are doing. It feels like you get to see the whole picture and not miss out in anything.

Well, Well, Well Lisa you have done it again!!! Another absolute mind blowing page turner!!!

This book is extremely well written with vivid descriptions that captivates the readers attention and places them right in the centre of the action. The cover and synopsis suited the storyline perfectly. Lisa writes in such engrossing and engaging way that I become completely absorbed in the storyline.

As soon as I started reading this book I fell straight back into the storyline from 'the end of 'Local Girl Missing' as of I had just finished it. I have read well over 100 books since then which just goes to show how much of an affect on me and how memorable Lisa's books are.

The storyline was very fast paced, absolutely nerve-racking and heart racing and kept me consistently on the edge of my seat. I was biting my nails and turning the pages until I finished it in one sitting. This book is ram packed with drama, murder, tension, red herrings, suspense, action, romance, adultery, secrets and I could go on. This book has everything and more that you want in a crime thriller. It is unique and realistic as well as being fast paced. There was constantly something happening and it left me questioning myself throughout the book.I believe this was one of the most fast paced and action packed books in this series so far especially considering who was involved and how much was going on. It was sooo tense throughout the book and my heart was absolutely pounding, I don't think there's much left of my nails now either lol!!! The storyline is also very thought provoking and just goes to show that nothing is ever as it seems. You see photos, videos and programmes about these perfect couples and they can make you jealous or worried about your own relationships but some things are never as they seem and this book is a perfect example of this Lisa and Josie what the hell are you doing to me!!! I was absolutely mind blown by one of the twists in particular and would never have seen that one coming in a million years!! I also never did guess who was involved so a huge congratulations Lisa!!! It is getting harder and harder to surprise me but you had me hook, line and sinker!!! I cannot wait to get my hands on all previous and future books of yours!!!

Although this is the sixteenth book in the series I had absolutely no problems reading it without the others. Any details or events that have previously happened are mentioned in just the right amount of detail to let a new reader know what has happened and yet not too much to bore a previous reader.

Clear your schedules before picking this up as you will not be able to put it down!!!

I absolutely loved meeting all the characters again and it really felt like I was meeting up with old friends I got to know them so well in the last book! I absolutely love Josie's down to earth personality. Josie has suffered a horrific loss and instead of being the type or person to let it either overwhelm her or the type who completely gets on with life and forgets she is in the middle. Not only is Josie a strong female lead but Gretchen is also a fantastic female model and I love the bond between the two women. They make an absolutely fantastic team and the dynamic between not only Josie and Gretchen is spot on but also with them and Noah, Mettner, Amber and Chief Chitwood. I was pleased that we have seen a completely different side to Chief Chitwood since 'Watch Her Disappear' and, although I liked him anyway, it has definitely made me feel "closer" to him and I'm looking forward to seeing what he is going to do now!!! I absolutely love watching Noah and Josie's relationship continue to develop since their not so romantic honeymoon. They both deserve to be happy and make a perfect couple. I was intrigued by all the new characters we meet in this book and it was hard to know who to trust. Every single character in this book "played their parts" perfectly to make an absolutely fantastic and memorable team who I love meeting every time I pick up one of Lisa's books.

Congratulations Lisa Regan on yet ANOTHER absolutely fantastic action packed book and this is why your in my top 10 crime author list and why this series is in my top 5 list!! Looking forward to the next episode in this amazing series 🥂

Overall a heart racing, page turning, addictive and unputdownable fast paced crime thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Genres covered in this book include Crime Fiction, Police Procedural, Organised Crime, Noir Crime, Serial Killers, Mystery and Crime Thriller amongst others.

I would recommend this book to the fans of the above as well as fans of Angela Marsons, Carol Wyer, P.J Tracy, Robert Dugoni and Rachel Caine and any fans of nail biting, edge of your seat psychological crime thrillers.

394 pages

This book is just £2.99 to purchase on kindle and £8.99 in paperback via Amazon which I think is an absolute bargain for this book!!!

Rated 5 /5 (I LOVED it ) on Goodreads, Instagram, Amazon UK and Amazon US and on over 30 Facebook pages plus my blog on Facebook.

So I picked this series up at book 13 and has enjoyed all the installments that I have read since.

Regan is a talented author and this shows in her ability to keep a series engaging into its 16th book and leave people still wanting more.

She brings her characters to life on the pages they give life and meaning to her plots.

A fast paced cat and mouse plot with revenge at it's core that kept me hanging on till the very end.
