Josie Quinn is one of my favorite detectives and book 12 in the series is a really solid outing. Josie and her husband Noah are on a murder investigation revolving around a charismatic tv couple, therapists who both have secrets. An intense and ever evolving story where you can’t figure out who in the immediate circle is responsible and more importantly, why. A sold four stats.

Well I am happy to report that once I again, the newest installment of Detective Josie Quinn kept me riveted!

Another amazing story featuring Detective Josie Quinn, this is book 16 and even more intriguing than book 1.
Lisa Regan comes up with some very twisty tales and The Innocent Wife is by far one of her more complicated reads. I didn’t see half of what happened coming, such an exciting story. This series is one of my favourite mysteries/thrillers and Josie Quinn, one of my favourite detectives. Can’t wait to see what happens next!
Thank you to Netgalley and the author for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my copy of this book

Josie is called to investigate when the body of murdered tv start Claudia Collins is found on the night of her special anniversary dinner. Her husband Beau, and assistants Margot and Eve are distraught. When more bodies turn up Josie must find the killer before it’s too late.

I love this series. Every book has great characters. This one had so many characters and suspects. It was twist after twist and I couldn’t get enough!

I enjoyed seeing old characters reintroduced, although an injury almost had me in tears!

I would highly recommend!

I adore Josie Quinn! This is my favourite series and this book does not disappoint. Fast paced and full of twisty turns. The characters are family at this point so you find yourself attached which brings real depth to the book.
This was so good I could not put it down and consumed it in one sitting. Jaw dropping and stunning throughout. One heartstopping reveal after another!
Absolutely perfect!

The Innocent Wife is the 16th book in the series. You can read this as a stand alone. Lisa just keeps getting better and better with every new story. I just love Josie Quinn and her husband Luke. This thriller has so many twists and turns you can't figure out until the end who was involved in the murders. Claudia and Beau are relationship counselor's and tv hosts, they are celebrating their 15th anniversary. Candles are lit and their rich vanilla scent twists its way through the cabin. The table is set for a romantic anniversary dinner with fresh roses dropping crimson petals on crisp white linen. But the woman seated at the table is cold to the touch, and there’s blood trickling down her neck… Here comes Josie and Luke to find out what happened and how. This has so many lies, twists and turns and new people involved you won't want to put it down until case is solved. Even then you may be surprised. Thank you NetGalley.

As usual for the Josie Quinn series, this book has a lot in between the covers. The murder plot is very elaborate over a short period of time, and it jumps from moment to moment very quickly. I didn’t love this as much as previous books in the stories, only because I felt like it was missing some of Josie…maybe there is less internal dialogue, or less of her thoughts? I can’t quite put my finger on it. I also didn’t love the direction the murders/violence went in this one. However overall I was still entertained and enjoyed the circle back to a “blast-from-the-past” making a reappearance in Josie’s life. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to provide my honest feedback.

Detective Josie Quinn is faced with a perplexing case of murders that revolve around a TV celebrity who, along with his wife, have a popular show and book about how to have a perfect marriage. When the wife is murdered, Josie and her team discover that the couple's "perfect marriage" is not as it seems. As the dead bodies increase, there is a rush to predict the next victim and stop the killer. In the midst of the case, Josie and Noah realize just how lucky they are to have each other.

Thank you #NetGalley and #LisaRegan for another great book featuring Detective Josie Quinn.

The Innocent Wife is #16 in the JQ Series and it’s as enjoyable to read as #1 and all in between.

In this case Josie and her new husband partner, Noah, are working the murder of a well-know TV marriage counselor, Claudia. In the wake of her murder come two more as suspicion bounces around to various suspects. A lot of tightly held secrets concerning Claudia’s husband, Beau, could be either coincidence (Josie doesn’t believe in) or clues to the killer. You need to follow Josie on the hunt.

I love the entire cast of characters, especially those that return throughout the series; Josie, Noah, Mettner, Gretchen and even grumpy Chief Chitwood. They are all tightly written and well-described. Each has their own history that comes to the forefront in the various books preceding. That’s one of the key reasons that these books are fresh and readable. The “side” characters are well-developed not just “extras”. That’s a component of skillful writing. Great job, Lisa!

A brilliant read as usual from Lisa. I feel like Josie and Noah are my friends at this stage. A gripping story about a High Power couple and events that befall them. I think the star of the book is Blue.

This is the second Josie Quinn book I've read this year and I'm a fan! This is book 16 in the series and it's called The Innocent Wife by Lisa Regan which I received from Bookouture via Netgalley. It will be out on 12 December.

A well known couple have it all; a book deal, a popular show, a successful practice, you name it. Until she is murdered. His world collapses. Then Josie Quinn comes along and starts the investigation. A puzzle box used by the couple on their tv show is used in the murder. Another victim, another puzzle box. When will it all end?

This was one great thrill. Loved every bit of it. The story is a great one; well worked out with a fantastic ending. The characters are also very well thought out meaning that you really get to know them and their personalities. The author is perfectly capable of telling this rollercoaster of s story in an utterly gripping way.

Definitely a recommendation!

5/5⭐

This was another great installment in the Josie Quinn series and Regan always has a way of keeping her novels fresh. It started off in the near past with Josie having a random encounter with the soon-to-be murder victim. This makes it all a little personal for her right from the start. But as the investigation continues it seems the killer might not be finished. Can Josie figure out what is going on before more people pay with their lives?

I found this to be a fabulous read that kept me turning the pages quickly with a satisfying but surprisingending. Highly recommend.

Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for an advanced copy.

4.5 stars
The Innocent Wife is the 16th book in the excellent Detective Josie Quinn series. I have read several of the prior books in this series, but this one also works well as a standalone. This latest case features the murder of Dr. Claudia Collins, a television relationship expert. Her co-star and husband, Beau, appears to be sincerely grieving, but soon becomes one of the prime suspects. Additional murders occur that have a connection to Claudia's death and the case gets more and more complex. Everyone on Josie's team must work together to find a clever, ruthless killer, and it's fun to see how the case unfolds.

Complicating things for Josie, whose husband works for the same police force, is the fact that her ex-fiance is hired as a consultant to do tracking work along with his dog. I was worried, but I was happy with the way that situation was handled. This book is very exciting and I loved the unexpected developments in the plot. This book is another winner in this well-written series.

I received an advance copy of this ebook from NetGalley, through the courtesy of Bookouture. My review is voluntary and unbiased.

Another brilliant addition to this amazing series. It may be book 16 but each book is as good as the last. I love the dynamic of Josie and her team and the twists and turns of the storyline make for an unputdownable read. I couldn’t read it quick enough. Bring on the next book, hope we don’t have to wait too long!!

This series just keeps getting better and better. In this installment of the Josie Quinn series, Josie and the gang are working to solve the mystery of the murder of a popular local television celebrity named Dr. Claudia Collins.
Claudia and her husband Beau were marriage counselors who wrote a viral book that let to a tv show. While investigating the initial murder- Josie discovers that not all is what it seemed in the marriage guru's life! Was she truly happily married and does someone she know have motive to kill her. This is a well plotted mystery that keeps you on the edge of your seat until the bitter end. The twists just keep coming!!! I love Lisa Regan's writing and can't wait to see what happens next in this series.

Another offering in the Josie Quinn detective series. If you’ve enjoyed any of the previous fifteen books in the series I’m sure this one will not disappoint.

Josie and her team once again are called to the scene of a murder of a local TV star. They begin to question everyone in her inner circle and they know that someone is lying. Then another member of that circle is murdered and the hunt is on before there is yet another victim.

This story has a lot of characters (not too many that you get lost) that are all woven together. I had no idea who killer was and I was shocked at how many lies were built up to bring this whole thing to the end.

Although Josie's family (sister, brother, parents) don't make an appearance, 2 characters from her recent past are brought back. There seems to be a little more depth to the relationship between Noah and Josie, that of course make you want to fall in love with them again.

If you haven't read Josie Quinn yet, I highly recommend this series.

I love a good Josie Quinn mystery. Lisa Regan is great at weaving a page-turning story while keeping the characters fresh and interesting. The Innocent Wife (Detective Josie Quinn Book 16) is another great addition to the series. I love the camaraderie between Jose, Noah, Gretchen, Mettner, and Chief Chitwood. Great characters.

The Innocent Wife was certainly an addictive crime thriller that was packed with jaw-dropping twists, as the synopsis states. I was racing through the last third of the book to find out how it would all come together. My heart was racing to the satisfying ending. Good twists to keep me guessing.

I cannot wait for the next book in this series. I would recommend this book, this series, and this author. You will not be disappointed. Good stories to keep you turning the pages, good characters, and good plots and atmosphere.

I read a lot of cosy murder mysteries, but sometimes I enjoy a slightly darker book, if that's what I'm in the mood for. I think in this case, it was one of those moments where I saw the book's cover art and felt drawn to it, and I was happy to be approved for a copy of this to review.

I hadn't read any of the previous books in the series, but that didn't affect my enjoyment of this one as a standalone. I liked all of the main characters, and found the book fast-paced and suspenseful - at least, it had me turning the pages.

I found the anonymous diary entries very interesting because they were so ambiguous, and as a reader that was something that helped to keep me guessing. I probably would read some more of the books from this series.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for a free copy to review.

I would 100% recommend this book. I have enjoyed them all (Yes! All 16!). You will not be disappointed if you set down to read this book. I finished this in one sitting. I just feel like Lisa Regan is just keeping the stories fresh and attention grabbing.
Josie, Noah and crew catch a murder. Beau and Claudia Collins are a power couple that seem to have it all. It is time to celebrate their 15 year wedding anniversary. Instead of a beautiful dinner, one of them ends up dead. Also, an old face shows up on the scene is Luke...Josie former fiancé. You can feel the tension in the air!
I cannot say enough about this series of books. It is excellent. You will not be disappointed! Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for allowing me the best sneak peek of the year.
