💉 Addiction as part of the Plot

This one is the third book in a series of romance books featuring Lily and Lo. In this one Lily is still struggling with her addiction issues while Lo is clean but here to support her on her journey to recovery.

Lily definitely is in some bad situations because of her addiction in this book.

We also get more of the other couples in this book but I really didn’t enjoy those side stories in this book, but still as solid story non-the-less.

Thank you Berkley for my ARC copy of this one in exchange for my review!

I’m a big time fanatic of this series. And I happen to nearly have everyone around me hooked on to it too. So, re-reading them and getting to those bonus scenes gave me so much comfort and joy, especially after reading how my favourites have their perfect HEA and are enjoying life to the fullest.

I absolutely loved this series when I originally read their indie versions, and now getting these delicious bonus scenes is just the icing on the cake. The re-published versions of these books are perfectly polished. I could read about this friend group forever, and never get tired of them.

After reading the first 2 books in this series, I was incredibly anxious to get to this book, and let me just say it exceeded the high expectations I already had!

The character development you get throughout this series is truly unmatched. Addicted For Now is a continuation of the first 2 books (Addicted to You & Ricochet) and follows Lily and Lo, who each have different addictions that they are struggling with. It hurts to see them go through so much, but you really see how much they have grown in this one. And I absolutely LOVED that you get both Lily and Lo's POVs in this book (as the first 2 books only have Lily's POV).

Having both of their thoughts and reading this book in general solidified the fact that Lily and Lo are basically my children — I will defend them until the end of time. Whatever emotions they were feeling in this book, I was feeling right along with them. They go through SO MUCH in this book, and all I wanted was for them to be happy because they truly deserve it. They are such strong characters who are definitely soulmates. You can feel their love for each other BLEED from the pages, and they made me shed a lot of tears. The love that Lily and Lo have for each other is undoubtedly out of this world, making you wonder if that kind of love really exists.

Overall, I’m very attached to LiLo and their whole friend group (who also get their own books) already. This series is uniquely very character-driven, and it is done so incredibly well — I seriously can't get enough of it and these characters. I’m very excited for Kiss the Sky, which is the next book in the series about Rose & Connor! They intrigued me a lot throughout these 3 books, and I can’t wait to get inside their heads — especially after reading the bonus material...

Two years ago I started reading the Calloway Sisters and I had instantly become obsessed with the lives of the those sisters. It’s safe to say that everything about this books is absolutely perfect and Krista and Becca Ritchie and these characters can do no wrong. This book made me laugh, smile, cry, and I want more it! I highly recommend this entire series!

Addicted For Now is the third installment in the Addicted series and it is such an emotional rollercoaster ride. We get to see Lily and Lo grow and heal together after spending some time apart in Ricochet, and their growth is truly incredible. I’ve grown so attached to these characters and can’t help but root for them. This series has such relatable/strong characters. I also love how this book perfectly sets up the Calloway Sisters series!

Overall, this is such an incredible book about family, love, and healing, I can’t recommend it enough. One of my all-time favourite series

Reunited and it feels so good…

Well, yes and no. Lo’s returned to Lily, which I love, but the two have some new obstacles challenging them in Addicted for Now. Lily’s been dealing with her addiction in Lo’s absence, but his return adds another temptation into the mix. She has to let go and trust Lo to take care of her needs. If that wasn’t enough, someone knows Lily’s secret and is threatening to tell.

I love, love, love how this series is evolving. Lo and Lily are still dealing with their addictions, but I felt more hopeful for them. There was still some angst and suspense, but there was also time to relax and enjoy. They’ve both grown so much and, while things aren’t perfect, their story has started to become more than just their addictions. Lo and Lily are in a sweet recovery period where they’re allowing themselves to be happy — for a moment. Lo’s taking his recovery seriously, and also stepping up to help Lily deal with hers. He’s putting helping her with her addiction before both of their sexual desires and saying no when he needs to. There’s a surprising tenderness to their relationship that I really love.

I also really loved the whole trip to Mexico setting. It threw all of the characters into different, awkward situations. It brought them closer together and showcased more of their personalities. I loved that the book gave me the opportunity to know Ryke, Daisy, Connor and Rose even better. It made me excited to read the next couple of books where they’re the main characters.

This book wasn’t all fun and games, though. There was still tons of drama in the story. Everything comes crashing down with the sinister revelation to the world that Lily is a sex addict. It’s sad and devastating to everyone. All of the characters are scrambling to find the evil person who tipped off the press.

Addicted for Now continued my obsession with the Addicted series. I loved the way the story and characters evolved. It was an awesome addition to this series and made me even more excited for what’s to come in the next book.

As for the newly added bonus content... It's the best of the new content yet! The new chapter was a look at Connor and Rose's first date. It made me miss this couple so much! It was totally them. There was also a playlist that didn't really do much for me because I'm not a playlist person and then a chapter of fun text exchanges that I enjoyed. It's definitely worth the read if you've read Rose and Connnor's book or even if you haven't.
