Cute book with a lot of short comic stories. Kids will love them. The drawings are nice and the stories are nicely woven together so it does feel like one book. The stories are disgusting (but not too much) and weird but also cute and funny. Would recommend!

A wonderfully gross but fun read that will definitely keep the attention of most children. Each tale will take you on a disgustingly fun journey into an absurd and not to mention weird place. You won't be able to hide your smile or your laughter!

This definitely delivered on the grossness, which will be a HUGE hit for elementary age readers. I did feel like some of the stories went on too long to be funny, and there were far more wink-wink-this-joke-is-for-the-adult-readers, but my student will devour this. Artwork was absolutely delightful.

Some books dabble in gross-out humor. This book went all-in. Much respect to the author for committing to the premise. There’s a warning that this isn’t for people with weak stomachs, and that's true. This also happens to be one of the best books I've seen for reluctant middle to upper middle grade readers who aren't really into superheroes.

The illustrations were very colorful and vibrant, however, the overall plot was too long & too wordy that it sometimes takes me out of the story. The entire snot goblins were so disgusting & kudos to the illustrator for accurately portraying that.

This book was so gross and my 8 year old nephew loved it. He is not a reader , but he wanted to keep reading with this one. It reminds me of Garbage Pail Kids from my generation and made me smile.

Is it as tasteless as promised?100%
Will your child like it? Most likely and so will your inner child.
Will you be happy to see a child excited by a book? Very very much so

What this book is NOT: educational, smart, sophisticated, and overall must-have read everyone will enjoy, kids and grownups alike.
What this book IS: hilarious, silly, weird, disgusting-and-horrible-laugh-out-loud, and snort-worthy graphic novel to lure any younger non-reader into the world of books.
This book is NOT for parents or teachers. Not for grandparents. Not for those who look for value, substance and worth in books. No. I see this book as a perfect gateway drug, oops, book to show kids who think they hate reading that reading can be fun.
There should be more books like this.

I was super excited about more "gross things" to explore as ways to engage our most reluctant readers. The mix of horror and hilarity was a bit confusing for me, but might be perfect for the elementary school student. I have not yet been able to decide whether we will purchase this book.

I wanted to like this book, but all the while I kept remembering Raganathan’s theories from library school. “Every book it’s reader.”

I liked the idea of a “gross” topic to engage kiddos that claim to be “not readers”. If they like gross things and horror based stories, this book is for them! Enjoy!
