This is an excellent book, well worth the time to listen to.
The story is well written and engaging. I learned even more about WWII.
The book is very through and gives information about all sides and important events throughout the war.
For the “big three” summit to happen took extraordinary planning and time. First to get three world powers to agree and then, security to protect them.
It makes me uneasy that we were allied with Joseph Stalin who butchered his own people. But the saying “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” certainly applies here.

A great read. Well performed and hauntingly resonant in our time. Excellent. This takes an historical event and weaves it into a readable and haunting narrative with cautions for our own time.

I immediately recognized the photo on this book's cover and knew it would be a book I would want to read. When saw Brad Meltzer's name, I knew it HAD to be a book I needed to read.

I have been a fan of Meltzer's fiction for a very long time. However, I enjoy his non-fiction titles even more. From his I AM series of short biographies on famous individuals for young readers to his conspiracy theory books, not even mentioning his fabulous television series DECODED. He shows such a passion for research and finding the truth in our history.

THE NAZI CONSPIRACY provided an overview of the history leading to the strategy meeting of the three Allied leaders: President of the United States, Franklin D. Roosevelt, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, and Soviet Premier Joseph Stalin in Tehran in 1943. Very much like the other conspiracy books written by Meltzer, this does not read list a history book. I listened to the audiobook and felt drawn in as if it were a fictional tale. As a lover of history, I have read many books on a variety of time periods. They do not always flow and capture the reader as easily as Meltzer's books.

I highly recommend this book. It will be of special interest to those who enjoy reading about World War II history, conspiracy theories, and world leaders.

The Nazi Conspiracy is an interesting in-depth exploration of "The Big 3" powers on the Allied side of WWII and the potential plot to assassinate them in Tehran. The story is an exploration of already known facts about the war combined with some of the revealed documents and theories that have lead to the belief in a potential assassination. Personally I found the narrative format very easy to follow, especially in audiobook format, but for those looking for a 100% historical account, this probably won't meet your desires since it does explore some of th ebest guesses of actions surrounding the conspiracy. All in all the story is still well told and definitely gives me a few things I want to research further.

The Nazi Conspiracy: The Secret Plot to Kill Roosevelt, Stalin and Churchill by Brad Meltzer and Josh Mensch

The book starts of by describing the possibility of the triple assassination plot that has been known for a long time. The distrust of Soviet accounts of this story plus with little information kept it in the unknown category. Though there is not a lot of original research there is enough to increase the likelihood that the plot is true. Not definitive, but more likely than not. A lot of the rest of the history is widely known and is used to flesh out the narrative around why such a risk would have been worth it for Nazi Germany.

The book details the history of these different men their impacts of what decisions that had to make to work together to end WW2. I liked how they brought it all together but their still is a little gray area if trusting the Russian information is a way to say something is an accurate account. Though this is a story if true needs to be told. I just worry in a time where there is so much misinformation coming from countries like Russia it is hard to believe any account they may give.

I like the way they wrote the book in a narrative format which helps follow along with all the details they did add thoughts or ideas they believed happen so that can make this less of a history book but closer to a historical fiction book. Either way this book is worth reading and it gives us more details of some of the things the three leaders dealt with during WW2 with Hitler.

Scott Brick narrated this story and did a good job bringing this book to life. It was easy to follow along with a clear and concise voice narration of this story. This is a four star read for me and I recommend this book to people who like history and historical fiction during the WW2 time period. This is a must read if this is what time period you enjoy.

I’m not sure how I feel about this one. I’m unclear on whether this is meant to be a work of fiction or non fiction. I give it 4 stars because I did find the book interesting and engaging. I did omit one star because I believe it’s written in a way that leads you to believe it is a factual historical account. But I think it’s in fact based on conspiracies and I’m not sure if anyone really knows the truth behind it. It is definitely worth reading for the entertainment value. It was well written and a it appears that a lot of research and hard work into it. I definitely enjoyed this book

This was a highly informative read that had me hooked from the start. It was a well written account of events that took place during WWII that was written in a way that kept me interested in the entire recount of events. I have not read many accounts of the events of WWII but I would recommend this one to others.

Thank you to Netgalley and Macmillan Audio for allowing me to listen to an ARC of this wonderful book.
I remarked recently that there are endless stories about WWII and they are always fascinating. But I was referring to people's stories of survival or of fleeing the Nazis or many other small but heroic things we learn about more and more.
This book is history-true history-about a not well-known conference in Tehran of the Big Three: Roosevelt, Churchill, and Stalin that took place in November of 1943. I thought I knew a lot about this period but I learned so much. It is powerfully written. I think of Brad Meltzer as a novel writer and the book has qualities of a well written novel, forcing you to turn the page the minute you finish a chapter.
It is read magnificently by Scott Brick. I know nothing about this narrator but in my opinion, he was perfect. He gave the words just the right amount of emphasis, dramatized scenes that needed dramatizing, and allowed his wonderful voice to be a production perfect for the material.
I highly recommend this book. Not just for history buffs but for a good thrilling read.

So interesting! I have read so many books about WWII but this was such an interesting perspective. I loved seeing behind the curtain of “The Big Three.”

The Nazi Conspiracy: The Secret Plot to Kill Roosevelt, Stalin, and Churchill by Brad Meltzer; Josh Mensch and audiobook Narrated by Scott Brick is an excellent nonfiction that kept me riveted from beginning to end.

This is just beyond fascinating and engrossing. To be able to take true events and present them in a way that reads as fast-paced fiction is a true talent.

As to not spoil this adventure for other readers, the authors were able to take a lesser-known (at least to me) series of events and bring them to light to reveal a deeper layer of activity involving President Franklin Roosevelt, Joseph Stalin and Winston Churchill and their meeting in 1943 in Iran. The second layer of intrigue and action happen to be the conspiracies and plots that incorporated the Nazis…if it wasn’t true, I would find it difficult to wrap my brain around…just astounding.

I learned a lot, and enjoyed myself in the process. If you are a WWII history buff, you will enjoy this.

5/5 stars for the book and the the narrator as well
