A fun, romantic time-loop story with a magical twist. It's witty, fresh, and full of heart. Great for fans of Groundhog Day vibes.

*The Déjà Glitch* by Holly James is a quirky, lighthearted read that offers an interesting premise but ultimately falls a bit short of its potential. The concept of a woman experiencing déjà vu in the form of glitches in her life is intriguing, and the book starts with a lot of promise. The idea of exploring what happens when a person begins to relive certain moments is creative and sets the stage for a fun, thought-provoking adventure.
However, while the story is entertaining in parts, the pacing feels uneven at times, and the plot doesn’t always deliver the emotional depth or the thrills it hints at. The main character is relatable and likeable, but her growth throughout the book felt a bit predictable, and some of the supporting characters lacked the depth that would have made the story more engaging.
The writing style is charming, but occasionally, the dialogue and situations felt a bit too contrived, leaving me wanting more genuine moments. The quirky nature of the story also makes it somewhat difficult to connect with on a deeper level, and some of the humor didn’t land as well as I’d hoped.
Overall, *The Déjà Glitch* is a fun, easy read with an intriguing premise, but it doesn’t fully capitalize on its potential. It’s a solid choice if you’re looking for something light and whimsical, but it may not leave you with the lasting impact you’d hope for. Three stars.

Thanks to NetGalley for the eARC!
Are you in the mood for a fun and paced romance with a time loop troupe? Then this is the book for you to pick up!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for my digital copy in exchange for an honest review. Who knows why I chose this one because I basically don't even read what any of them are about when I request them. I like the cover or the title or the author...in this particular case, I ended up really liking the book because it really wasn't anything like what I have read before...well, kind of like Groundhog Day but technically I didn't read that...it made it interesting from the start and I liked all of the characters so this was a good read for me. I would recommend it to anyone that likes contemporary romance with a twist of fantasy or whatever living the same day over and over again would be called.

I thought this was such a fun and unique take on the time loop romance trope. I loved that it took place on the course of a day while still incorporating the time loop element.

this was such a cute idea!! it reminds me of a lot of other books with similar time loop concepts but it was done uniquely and in a very enjoyable way. jack is so me because i also want someone to fall in love with me in a day (but also not me because i don’t have a ton of things riding on that LOLLL). i loved gemma and jack and had so much fun with this. yay!!!!!

Rounding up to 4 from 3.5 stars, just for the sweet/cheesy factor. A nice break from the other things I was reading at the time (somehow I neglected to review this in a timely manner!). Not particularly compelling - I should have realized before requesting that I'm not that into time loops.

A sweet time loop romance that makes you root for the characters Gemma and Jack. Loved the cover. The ending was a little lacking.

This book made me realize I wasn't a fan of time loop stories. It felt repetitive (well, duh) but the story wasn't too compelling and engaging to begin with. This was a miss for me especially that the main characters' chemistry felt forced and the pacing was a mess.

*The Déjà Glitch* by Holly James is a charming and unique time-loop romance filled with humor, heart, and second chances. The story follows a woman stuck reliving the same day, with the only person who remembers—an intriguing stranger who insists they’re meant to be together. As they navigate the loop, sparks fly, and she must figure out how to break free while discovering what (and who) truly matters. James blends witty dialogue, emotional depth, and a touch of magic to create a delightful, binge-worthy read. Perfect for fans of quirky rom-coms with a fresh, time-bending twist.

This was a cross between 50 first dates and Groundhog Day. An interesting premise but I didn’t like this book as much as her first. Still I loved the character Jack. Would still recommend it as a fun, light read!

Gimme all the time loops!!
I do wish we got MORE of a time loop. We get like one and a half repeats. And it did work for the story, but it would be fun to have more.
I really liked Gemma! I related to her a lot. Feeling stuck is no fun and dads can be rough.
I also thought Jack was super sweet!

I liked a lot of this story, exploring family relationships and second chances, but the romance fell flat for me. Instalove is never my favorite, and here, the premise is Gemma falling in love with Jack, who's been stuck in a time loop, in one day. Time loop romances never fully make sense but ask you to believe in the power of fate and love. So I guess that's fun and magical.

Holy insta-love. This was 2/5 stars read for me.
I had high hopes for The Deja Glitch, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The plot felt underdeveloped, and I just couldn't get invested in the story. While it satisfies the time-loop mood read urge, that's about all it offers. The romance between the two main characters came off as insta-love, and not in a believable or natural way. Their chemistry seemed forced, and by the end of the book, I honestly didn’t see them staying together long-term. It felt more like a quick fling than something that could last. If you’re looking for a time-loop story to pass the time, this might fill that void, but don’t expect it to leave a lasting impression.

3.75 stars
This was a fun read and perfect for anyone who loves Groundhogs day. It was a little cheesy, but nothing a couldn't get past.
Was it one of my most revolutionary reads? No? Did I need it to be also no?

Thank you NetGalley and Penguin Group Dutton for this ARC. I apologize for taking so long to review it.
Liked: time loop, fast (sorta) falling, and an awesome bestie.
Disliked: the airport scene and I definitely wanted more senior dog moments!!!!

A delightful blend of romance and magical realism. Holly James crafts a sweet, Groundhog Day-style love story filled with humor and heart. The premise is fun, though some emotional moments feel a bit underdeveloped.

If Holly James writes a book, I am going to want to read it. I was delighted to have a chance to read an early copy of The Deja Glitch, and it did not disappoint.
Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for sharing this book with me.

Maybe romances on the science fiction end of the spectrum are just not for me. I thought the book was okay, but nothing super memorable.
