This was an adorable story about a boy going hunting to find Bigfoot. Before his hunt, he researches monsters and tells us a little bit about a few of them. Then he details the steps he takes to get ready for his hunt. After that he's off. He wants to get the first non-blurry picture of Bigfoot!

The illustrations were colorful but dark. The kid is hunting in the woods though, so that makes sense. And when he finally gets the chance to photograph Bigfoot...well I won't ruin that surprise for you (for once).

The language used in this book makes it sound like the kid is really telling the story, even like it could have been written by a child. It's just very authentic feeling kid speak. I'd probably be okay reading this book a few times, but the authentic kid speak also makes not think I'd probably not want to read it too often.

Overall I give this book 4.1 out of 5 stars.

The pictures are good but I'm afraid the formatting for kindle was poor as the words in the story ran into each other leaving unreadable sentences so I couldn't really follow the story. Can't review properly so three stars.

Timmy can’t understand why all the phots of Bigfoot are blurry. He goes through a lot of other monsters like Loch Ness and Mothman and they are not blurry in photos. So he sets off into the woods to get the clear photo of Bigfoot. He does well to prepare to go and the story goes on to tell about his search. I thought this was a fun story for children above toddlers. I think the young children would be scared by some of the illustrations and the theme. Illustrations were done very well and colorful.

Not too bad, but at the same time not great, this light-hearted affair is about a monster-fixated kid going off on a hunt for Bigfoot. The pay-off is a little too weak, to my mind, but before then we have a little bit of frisson about being in the big bad woods by ourself, and apart from that solitude a snapshot at sensible things to think about before we go off on our own excursions. If you stumble across it, fine – give it a go, but I wouldn't expend too much energy tracking this down.

The "twist" at the end made this story! It really needs better editing though, and I wish we would have gotten an explanation about why he chose not to quit. He didn't really tell us what made him change his mind. But the end put a smile on my face. Very cute.

Honestly, I was not very impressed with this book. It was a little erratic and didn’t flow nicely. There’s also a spelling error (woodes instead of wooded). The illustrations aren’t that great either and some illustrations make it difficult to read the text. I like the idea behind the book, but I think it could have been done better.

Thank you, NetGalley, for the ARC. Review will be posted on my instagram @lizzies_little_library_

I love this and I especially love the "twist" at the end. I wasn't sure what I was getting into but I really enjoyed it and I'm sure any children will enjoy it as well.

A young boy loves researching and searching for monsters. He sets out to capture the first clear picture of Big Foot and provides information to readers along the way. To his surprise, he finally locates a Yeti and gets a close up picture that is blurry too.
The illustrations are simple and the text offers information along with the story.

What kid isn't fascinated with monsters?!? I know I was as a kid and always made my Mom look under the bed as she tucked me into my bed. Timmy doesn't understand why there are no clear pictures of monsters and he is going to solve this mystery. I think kids will love this story and will feel like they are on the monster adventures with Timmy!! Written for ages three to seven.

okay, fun. this book perfect for those ever-curious kid, especially about urban legend monsters. but I have mixed feelings about this. it can also encourage kids to do dangerous thing without adult supervision and it's a little bit concerning

Thank you so much to BooksgoSocial and Netgalley for the ebook to read and review.

Timmy knows all about monsters and wants to go hunting, he wanders into the woods in search of Bigfoot as every photo ever taken is so blurry. He plans on taking a perfect one and making history.

This was so much fun, I loved that we start off with facts about the monsters and then go to his preparations for the hunt and off on his adventure hunt. It’s such a fun read, I really liked seeing the surrounding from the illustrations and seeing Bigfoot in the background. Timmy loved the hunt seeing many different creatures and even though started to lose hope, he never quit and kept searching.

Children are going to reallly enjoy this book and will set their minds up with so much imagination. It’s a great book with good illustrations, a fun mystery and a adventure to find Bigfoot.

I absolutely love that cryptids are becoming more mainstream, and that the author took time to explain some of them at the start of the story (shoutout to Mothman). I also love that it reimagines the reality of what Bigfoot like look like!
