A fun little book for young readers. A crow creates art and wants it to be displayed at the local museum. But there's trouble getting it to stay where they put as the humans seem to be removing it. His bird friends continues to try and support him and getting it displayed!

I found this book funny and cute. The illustrations were fitting to the text, which made it more funnier. It also teaches young readers to encourage each other to, and to find problem solving solutions. I think this book was neat!

Happy reading!♥️

Absolutely enchanting! For me, this story makes so much sense because of course pigeons are art aficionados...that's why they hang out on statues so much, right? Also, I love seeing Alex the pigeon develop as an artist. Super fun, and clever illustrations. Young and old alike will be enchanted!

I read this with my 2 year old daughter who is a bird aficionado. We enjoyed the story, I gave the pigeons silly voices for their speech bubble text.

When the pigeon's art was being taken from the tree my daughter said 'oh no!' and we were both pleased that his artwork was displayed at the end!

A very sweet book with lovely illustrations and a message about appreciating art no matter where it's from!

"This Art Is for the Birds" by Susan Bednarski is a children's tale about a group of pigeons who work together to get their fellow pigeons' artwork into an art museum.

I think the overall concept is cute and a good way to introduce young readers to art however, I still found the story to be very surface level. This book is definitely meant for young audiences but I do believe the plot could have been developed a little bit more overall. The artwork in the book is beautiful and the addition of thought-provoking questions for the reader at the end of the book was a wonderful addition to see.

Animals and museums are my favorite things so this short and sweet little book held immediate appeal. In a few short pages I was completely won over by these four pigeons who love their friend and his art even if they don't entirely understand. It's such a sweet story that I think everyone will find something too love.

A creative way to introduce art to young children. A creative story in itself but the water color artwork is the star of the book. A funny story but but as light as I expected. 4.5 stars overall.

I absolutely love this book and will get it when it is out. The illustration is both beautiful and adorable a the same time. It is however the story that got me falling in love with it. On the surface, the story is both simple and hilarious at points but if you allow yourself to both think deeply and feel how the characters feel as you read, there are so many layers to the messages behind the story. It is a book that is entertaining, educational and inspiring all at the same time. I would highly recommend this one.

Four valiant pigeons join forces to help their friend Alex the Crow make his art exhibit dreams a reality. Through persistent effort and innovative problem-solving, the feathered friends devise an ingenious plan to get Alex's artwork showcased in the New York art scene. Art is for the Birds illustrates that anything is possible with the right attitude and ingenuity.

This Art is for the Birds
4.5 Stars

This Art is For the Birds is a fun-loving story about a little bird, Alex, that loves to create art. I found the pigeons cute and humorous. This book is a fun adventure and inspires fabulous friendships.

The text is easy. The character designs are goofy, attention-grabbing, and entertaining. The illustrations are colorful, but muted. My favorite pigeon is the one always finding a snack. So relatable! I love the art reflection exercise at the back of the book.

Thank you, NetGalley and Kind World Publishing, for an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is an adorable little book about a bird who is an artist and his friends think his creations are way better than those in the art museum.

A book whose title definitely caught my attention as well as the cover art which seems to be a bit on the intense side. As such these were definitely two elements that attracted me to this particular book.

This Art Is for the Birds is about a group of city birds that focus on the differences of one of their feathery friends but instead of rejecting him they encourage his talent by attempting to help him succeed. What a story of inspiration and encouragement!

What makes this book actually interesting is the fact that this story is being told to the reader in the first person before going to the conversation bubbles for three of the pigeon friends. Does this mean the dark gray pigeon is our narrator or is there another bird that we aren't seeing? And for me I was wondering so much why Alex didn't like a pigeon until I finally read the description while now it makes sense to me.

The artwork leans more towards the cartoonish especially in some of the poses of the birds themselves but at other times it is a bit more realistic even in an animated-like style. Each bird that is included has been provided with their own personalities and moods, which is also quite reflected in their looks and so the youngest reader will be able to pick out the various friends.

And finally at the end of the book the reader is provided with interactive questions that allows them to also further participate with the story and characters.

Altogether this book reminds me of a Mo Williams story although with more than one pigeon and instead of telling him he cannot do something these are the ones that are saying they have got your back just since they are your friends.

I thought this was cute and different, but I'm still not sure I really loved it? I love ANYTHING that had to do with art! But I don't know. It felt...like it didn't flow properly? Or it didn't really have a ton of substance in a way? I don't know. I thought it was fun and cute, but I didn't love it.

Alex is a pigeon that enjoys art. He visits the museum often and makes his own art. His other friends think he is a little weird, but they love the odd and colorful gifts he gives, and they really do support their friend. They support him so much that they decide they’re going to get his art into the museum. This book was just such a fun read. It really puts a smile on your face. The friends they have their own color commentary while the story is forward, such as not knowing what Joe ism which actually means cubism. Overall, this is a five-star read that I think anybody could pick up and enjoy

The drawings in this book are pure art! So, so, so exquisite and beautiful!
The story of an artsy pigeon is told by showing how other pigeons want to help him get his work of art into a museum. It is cute, quirky, and absolutely adorable.

This is the story of Alex the bird who loves to make art and visit the museum. His bird friends think his art is good enough to be in the museum so they make a play to get it there and work together as a team to do just that. My one year old loved how each bird has its own personality that comes thru in the speak and thought bubbles on each page. I would love to see more books with these birds.

I loved the fun art style and the humor! What a great way to introduce little children to the concept of art and museums! The adventure is fun for grownups, too, as you can spot the on or another familiar piece of art.

Ha, who writes about pigeons? The one who writes "Don't make me poop on your car.". That is exactly what I thought when I saw the birds. The story however is not about poo or cars. This is about friendship and opinions.

The story is funny, the illustrations are cute, and this can be read at random.

I would gift this to someone, 9-90 years old for fun.
