Thanks to Netgalley & and absolute Thanks to Aaron Jackson.

I can say I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It has so many wonderful elements that make the fantasy genre so great.

Firstly but not only, the wording is so fluid and easy to read, with no crazy interpretive, hazy trips into the characters psyche , that make you wonder what the hell is happening. Just straight forward, enjoyable story telling.

The characters, no matter how despicable, are still a joy to read about as they feel very real, and very well fleshed out.

I really liked everything in the book, including a unique take on the magic, which doesn't seem trite or plagiarized from any other book.

And I'm truly excited for the next book and a little disappointed I can't read it now. This book is easily a 4.5 for me.
