This is a light and easy to read romance with a happy ending! I can see the appeal of the setting (an organised bus tour of the U.K.) but as I’m from the U.K. it didn’t quite have the same impact for me. I absolutely loved the host of other characters that the main character was travelling and it’s always good when one of your favourite books is mentioned in the book you’re reading!

Book was enjoyable and easy to read.
Gigi is a romantic at heart who owns a bookstore and whose parents have the type of meet cute people dream of, including Gigi. A trip across the pond, her own meet cute and the slowest of slow burns.
Side characters were great. Gigi was not my favourite FMC of all times. Found her a bit mean and unappreciative of things.
All in all, a good read

I enjoyed Two for the Road so much! It is a perfect summer vacation read. Through the novel we travel by bus to the countryside and shores of England enjoying tourist stops along the way. But it's so much more than that, it gave me all the feels, I even lol'd.
Gigi's friends send her on the trip so she can follow her destiny, to meet Zane the narrator of an audiobook that's very close to her heart. But, it doesn't go exactly to plan.
Do we really have a preplanned destiny? Or is our destiny what we make it? Travel along with Gigi on this ride full of fun, romance, sightseeing, and mishaps.
Excellent for fans of Sophie Kinsella, or Clare Pooley's Iona Iverson's Rules for Commuting.

There were so many pieces of this book that I loved. The MC owning a bookstore and all the book related references were so much fun. I loved the sibling relationship and how Gigi and her brother were able to grow and move forward from their tragedy. I love the idea of the English bus tour and now desire to take the route mentioned. The side characters that Gigi shares the bus trip with made it even more memorable and special. Such a fun quirky bunch. The writing was fun and made for a quick read. A very book that can easily be binged.
Now I loved Gigi for the most part, but good golly, the way that girl chased were 'celebrity crush' to the extent that she did was a little annoying and unrealistic. To believe that someone is your soulmate based on a weird coincidence was just too far fetched for me, especially for a rom-com where everything else felt more realistic. It seems like a big thing, because it's the whole entire premise of the book. Many of the good things I mentioned though helped to level out and compensate. All in all I enjoyed it, but I do wish the girly crush stuff had been toned down a bit. I would pick up more of Chantel's books and check them out though.

Thank you to Penguin Random House for the eArc. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

If you can't afford to go to Europe on your summer vacation (like me) then give this book a read instead. This was a fun, flirty, summer romance that sweeps you off to Europe. Highly recommend.

If you read closed door romance, this is definitely one you should think of picking up. Two for the Road follows Gigi who owns a bookstore and is looking for her own happily ever after. When she listens to an audiobook, she falls in love with the voice on the other end of her headphones and starts her journey to find him.

This book has no spice (so don't expect any) but it is hecking cute and it takes place all over England which I love! England is a bucket list destination for me, so whenever I read about it I get really jazzed. Also, the side characters in this book were very entertaining and it was just a fun, light, read. I think this book is called something different in the US? Not entirely sure, but you should still check it out either way!

I am not sure if it was because this read was so thematic for my time in London, but I loved this book! A great travel rom-com with a single, bookshop owner trying to find the HEA that mimics her parents own meet-cute. Her obsession is a bit irritating, but just ignore it.
Look, we figure this out rather quickly. We know how it’s going to end. But I loved it anyways.
This book was sweet, not spicy, but it didn’t matter.
The highlight of this book for me were the side characters. They had such great stories and personalities, and I loved them all! (These characters alone are worth the read.)
A quick read, and perfect for any vacation or road trip (especially an adventure to the UK 😊)

The sweetest romance that was perfect for welcoming the summer months. No spice, but it was just so sweet 🩷 and so real: the “perfect” love interest isn’t perfect, there’s rose coloured glasses, and the characters grow along the way. I loved every second of it and of getting to join GiGi on all the dreamy touristy adventures!!

I loved how cute Two for the Road was! This book was a light read, which is perfect for the beginning of summer. I really enjoyed how witty the writing was and how relatable the characters felt. I'm excited to read more by Chantel Guertin!

I love this book! I think it was such a good and quick read that focuses on love and family. It's always interesting to see a new take on an old trope and I think this was done perfectly! It is not spicy so anyone looking for more of a sweet or closed door romance, this is for you!

This romance has a lot of heart and I think it is such a good one to tuck into your beach bag!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!

A book following a tour group through parts of England! Yes please 👏🏻👏🏻

I loved this book! The writing, the characters, all their destinations 🥰 it was all so great!

Getting to follow their trip was a treat for me as I’ve gotten the chance to be in some of the same places ✨it felt like a trip down memory lane at times, & the descriptions were spot on to what I remembered.

The characters throughout couldn’t have been better! There was a unique bunch on that trip, & I would’ve loved to join them ☺️

There is so much to love about this story, & I cannot recommend it enough. Though, to my fellow romance lovers, this book is a lot more than just a romance 💗 but is still a page turner!

Thank you so much @penguinrandomca for the #Gifted finished copy 💕💕💕

✨If you could go on a bus tour anywhere, where would you go?

What a fun heartwarming book! Gigi owns a romance bookstore and is looking for her own romance. She is entranced by the voice of an audiobook narrator and because of past family history she thinks he could be her soulmate. GIgi travels from the US to England to meet Zane and begin her love story. Zane works as a guide for a travel company and Gigi is booked to take one of his tours. Complications arise and her meet cute is struggling to happen. In the meantime she strikes up a friendship with Taj the tour bus driver. The other passengers on the tour were eccentric and interesting. All of the descriptions of the places Gigi visited were wonderful. Between the great characters and snappy dialogue I was really invested in the story. After following Gigi on her travels it’s made me want to get back to more traveling. I really enjoyed this book - and I loved the little references to Canada as well as the books mentioned throughout.

Cute and lighthearted. While I don't think this book was super memorable, it was a ton of fun and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for an easy enjoyable read.

Cute and lighthearted, I think it will be a great summer beach read. I wasn't a huge fan of how obsessed Gigi was with Zane, she seemed a bit naive and delusional. But I think that is just a trope I wasn't in the mood for. Overall I would recommend for someone looking for a vacation read, the author has some great wit and references.

I love a good travel story, and this novel was no exception! Two for the Road is not only a lovely reading experience, but also a travel experience! This story will take you on a tour of England and is filled with quirky facts and bits of history!

This book was a light, feel-good romance and was a quick read. I loved the various popular bookish influences (and the list of referenced titles at the end!).

On the other hand, the writing style was fairly simple and the dialogue cringey at times. I was also a little weirded out by the MC's obsession with her beloved audiobook narrator (see synopsis).

Overall, this was an enjoyable read, and combined two of my favourite things: travel and books about books!

Romance isn't my go-to genre, but this was a nice little vacation from heavier reads. What I loved about this book was the opportunity to revisit our ability to travel. In fact, the vacationing was almost more enjoyable for me than the romance was. It was sweet and relaxing to read, but lacking a little more in substance than I am comfortable with.

It’s been a while since I found a romance that allowed me to again say I am a romance fan!

Two for the arias was exceptional and just what I needed to read. You meet Gigi, a bookstore owner who never takes time off, but has a mild obsession with the narrator of the audiobook that brought her parents together. So her friends send her on a bus tour trip where he is the leader. Things don’t go as planned but Gigi is already on the other side of the world so she might as well enjoy the ride!

Chantal creates a crew of characters that made you fall in love with all of them and appreciate their dynamic on this bus tour trip.

This one is hard to put down, so grab it now and head to your favourite reading spot (mine is pictured here).

I give this one a 4/5 and can’t wait to read more of Chantal’s books!

Gigi Rutherford is the proud owner of romance bookstore and spends her days imagining a meet-cute for herself. Bad date after bad date, she would rather stay home and listen to the smooth and sultry voice of Zane Wilkenson on audiobook, whom Gigi is convinced is her soulmate. Her friends surprise her with a ticket to a UK countryside bus tour hosted by Zane himself, but when she arrives, he's nowhere to be found. Instead, she's with a group of eclectic travellers she'd rather not be with. And then there's the brooding bus driver, Taj, who Gigi finds infuriating but also incredibly alluring . . .

I LOVED this book!! Having lived in the UK and visited many of the bus stops of the tour myself, I could imagine vividly what Gigi was experiencing (I could also imagine Zane and Taj's swoon-worthy British accents). The cast of characters was so enjoyable and loveable and I could relate to many of them too. They were different ages and backgrounds and I could see a little bit of myself in each of them. If you want to go on a trip from the comfort of your home, or read a book that makes you laugh, cry and feel all the feels, then this one is for you!

I had the pleasure of meeting Chantal at a launch event and I really saw her bubbly personality shine through in her characters.

Gigi owns a bookstore. A romance bookstore, to be precise. It's a place where all the stories have happy endings, unlike her own story. She keeps trying blind dates and dating apps, but nothing compares to the excitement she finds listening to a particular audiobook narrator, reading the love story that brought her late parents together. She fantasizes about what I might be like to get to date the owner of that voice.
When Gigi's book-reading besties find out that the voice of her dreams has a family that runs a tour company AND is leading a tour around England, they pool their resources, and buy her a ticket on the tour. Because, the course of true love always runs smoothly, right?

Lots of twists and turns ensue, and even though the end of the story is telegraphed pretty strongly right from the get-go, it's an enjoyable ride. Gigi is a likeable character, and anyone who has found themselves trying to deal with grief through avoidance will relate to some of her strategies. The supporting characters are lovely, particularly a secondary couple whose romance develops along the way. You know that Gigi is going to end up where she needs to be by the end of the story, and that she will have done some growing up and figuring out by the time she gets there.
