When spirits are high and the sky is wide awake, the book is a cheerful booster to your mood with festivities around the corner.
A small n cute book for children's 'read in a day' session. This would also do as a good bedtime story.

I had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook ‘Festival of Elves’. with my eight year old daughter. It’s a cute book with a lot of holiday spirit. . The elves Holly and Noah visit a family and look for ways to make magic. Great lesson learned- to give more than you receive. I would think this book can become a holiday tradition for all families with young children. I love the narrator and the sound effects.- it felt magical.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to review this audiobook.

Aw. This book was an utter heartwarmer. It was fun, happy, squee and a lovely little festive read (or listen if you’ve opted for the audiobook. Which I recommend! It was great, the sound effects were on point and really brought it to life).

It was so cute and full of happy festive vibes. We have adorable elves just wanting to spread a little more magic in the world. Bringing the festival of the elves to humans and spreading happiness where they could.

It’s a short hit of Christmas and perfect for kids and younger audiences. Or an adult who just wants to relive a childhood of Christmas magic.

Holly Figgyworth has written a delightful children’s book entitled “Festival of the Elves.” It’s a charming, holiday-season “young folks” story that is engaging even to us grandparents looking for great stories to share with the grandkids when they arrive in a couple of weeks. Although listed in the fiction section I think the story is so believable that the plot must be based on a true story. Two precocious elves, Holly and Noel, embark on a quest to bring a secret notes authored by Grandpa Elf Norris to teach classic Christmas traditions…
Anyhow, one major plus and one major minus: the plus was listening to this story via the miracle of an audio version of this story. The minus was the fact that listening to the audio version of the book precluded us from seeing the illustrations. Guess we’ll be looking under the Christmas tree for a copy Christmas morning. And a big ole “thanks” to NetGalley for the gift of this great book we shall soon be sharing with those 18 and under!

This is THE Christmas book for 2022! You will want this for the special children in your life.
The Festival of Elves began at the North Pole. Grandpa Figgyworth gave small notes and babbles to his elf family and friends during the month of December. The small gifts brought joy and made them feel loved. Years passed and the festival continued to bring happiness to all the elves. “The magic around you is the magic you make.”
Noel and Holly Figgyworth two young elf siblings, wanted to share the Festival of Elves with the human world. The head of the elf council thought sharing magic and happiness with humans was a wonderful idea. It was up to the two young elves, so they gathered their gifts and their magic-o-meter and began the trip south. They encountered the Puddington family and began the 24 days of the Festival of the Elves. The two young elves could not return home until their magic-o-meter was refuel with happiness. The Puddington family quickly picked up on the idea behind the festival and began spreading the happiness and good cheer. Once the magic-o-meter was refilled and the elves regained their magic. The humans enjoyed the festival so much they began sharing small gifts and notes with their friends and family. The Festival of the Elves quickly began to spread through the human world.
I love this book. The illustrations are beautiful. The tale is magical and will bring a smile to all who hear it. Like Grandpa said, “The magic around you is the magic you make.”
If you only buy one book this Christmas season

A cute, book for children to kick off the "Elf on the Shelf" season. Fun sound effects and a dynamic narrator make the story come to life in your mind's eye. If you're looking for another new story for the holiday season, this story has plenty of reread value. Online resource helps keep the magic going long after you finish reading.

Looking for a little way to spread some joy and magic this gift-giving season? Holly and Noel love participating in the Festival of Elves, a month long celebration filled with sharing and games and silliness. They really want to share the Festival with humans, so they travel to see one special family. But they use up all their magic just getting there! They decide to make the best of it and begin sharing their traditions. Soon they learn the truth of the phrase "The magic around you is the magic you make."

While not overtly a Christmas book, this story is perfect for the holiday season, giving families the opportunity to participate in a new tradition. The main conflict isn't terribly compelling, but the interactive elements help make up for it. This is a fun book that families can use to connect and start creating new holiday memories.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this audio ARC. All opinions are my own.

a delightful seasonal story, filled with whimsical characters, fun names and tongue twisters. Plus a way to get elf notes for your own children. Could be the start of a new Christmas tradition.

I think I am just not the audience for this book. It wasn't bad, but I have been reading a lot of Celtic books lately so I wasn't thinking this was a Christmas book and I am not a fan of Christmas. So, that really impacted my review. That being said I think I would have liked the picture book a lot more. The audiobook was only 11 minutes long and I found myself losing focus while trying to listen. But other reviews have commented on how pretty the books art was.

Audiobook 3 stars, but will look at finding the picture book when it comes out to see if I liked that better.
