Tessa Bailey does it again! It's like you know her characters in real life and could just reach out and SLAP THEM! I'm a huge fan of the fake relationship trope and Bailey definitely did it justice. Will be ordering her full collection for my library!

Read this book in under 24 hours and I may re-start it immediately. August might be Tessa’s funniest hero yet?? And he’s also the most emotionally mature fictional boyfriend/husband I’ve ever come across. So refreshing!!! 5/5 stars no notes. I LOVED. and that epilogue omg I’m crying. Tessa I hope you never stop writing <3

Wow! This was by-far my favorite book of the year so far. I am obsessed with the tropes in this one, and the chemistry/banter between the characters. This is the kind of book I can see myself rereading over and over again. I’m counting down the days until June 6th!
Read if you like…
* Marriage of Convenience
* He Falls First
* Reverse Grumpy X Sunshine
* Forced Proximity
* Enemies to Lovers

Fun, flirty, and fabulous! I really enjoyed this romance read. I fun way to kill a couple of hours reading.

I keep trying to give this author a chance because library patrons enjoy them so much. However, this is not the author for me. The first in this series was decent. This follow-up was a slog. I enjoyed the banter between the romantic leads, but the thoughts going through each of their heads was repetitive. The love scenes were extra spicy, kind of out of nowhere. Plot was very easy to telegraph. Library patrons will enjoy, but me not so much.

Personally, this is not my favorite Tessa Bailey novel. I didn’t feel connected to any of the characters and the romance was just okay. Tessa Bailey writes spice very well so I won’t comment on that aspect of the novel, but overall, I just think it was okay. I’ll still purchase this book for my library collection because she’s a very popular author and I know it’ll circulate, but I don’t need it for my personal collection.

LOVED THIS! August is so swoony. A giant, fit man who speaks honestly and learns from his mistakes. Perfection. Love the playful, yet dark, banter between August and Natalie. Great chemistry and humor. Only wish the book was longer. Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC!

Tessa Bailey does it again! Unfortunately Yours is entertaining from beginning to end. It was fun to read, triggers all the right emotions, and is just a great story. I read this in one sitting, I just couldn't get enough. I adore the characters and their relationship as it developed through the story. Tessa also seamlessly included Julian and Hallie from the first book, Secretly Yours. This book felt like a true sequel instead of just the next book from an altered perspective. I truly loved this novel, and I can't wait to see what Tessa comes up with next!

Sadly..did not work for me. I was bored from the beginning, the characterization felt off and the writing style was not appealing.
Sorry Tessa :(

I have loved everything about Tessa Bailey's previous books, but unfortunately, Unfortunately Yours does not rank as high. I am sure a lot of romance readers will enjoy the book, especially if you like a lot of spice. This marriage of convenience trope had some highs and lows. I enjoyed the drama between the main characters in the beginning but nothing about either of them really hooked me in. The back and forth dirty/trash talk that started mid-way through the book killed the romance for me.

Thank you to NetGalley and Avon Books (imprint of HarperCollins) for giving me a digital copy of "Unfortunately Yours" by Tessa Bailey in exchange for an honest review.
"Unfortunately Yours" is the second book in Bailey's A Vine Mess series, following "Secretly Yours" where our protagonists were first introduced. Natalie Vos is the daughter of Napa Valley royalty, although the family vineyard has fallen on hard times. She has also fallen on hard times. A devastating mistake in her high-pressure finance career costs her both her job and fiancé in New York and now she's home, drinking her way through the family cellars. August Cates is a retired Navy SEAL, attempting to establish a vineyard to fulfill the dreams of a fallen comrade. He's out of his element, knowing nothing about wine production but determined do it anyway, on his own and without guidance.
Their chemistry is immediate and overwhelming, even as B-plot characters in someone else's story. Unfortunately, they get off to a bad start. Drunken Natalie rather honestly and descriptively tells August exactly how terrible his first attempt at wine-making is; August reacts strongly to her feedback. The incident ends with her throwing his wine in his face.
Which brings us to the start of their book together.
Natalie, has finally reached the point of planning and executing her big return to New York, planning to establish her own firm and show her former colleagues that she's still got what it takes. To do this, she needs start up capital. Her trust fund is locked with the (puzzlingly but conveniently) archaic requirements that she be both employed and married to receive her money.
Meanwhile, August has reached the end of his own financial reserves. Having produced the worst wine in Napa Valley, he can barely give away his stock and has no money to try again. The bank won't give him a small business loan and without it, his winery is folding.
Until..... the deal is struck. Natalie and August agree to marry. She'll get her trust fund and his standing in Napa will rise enough to convince the bank to give him a loan. Shenanigans ensue.
Overall, I enjoyed the story. The dialogue is hilarious. The emotional inspiration is solid. The epilogue borders on twee but I'm kinda reveling in it. August is a bit much at times; the intensity of his devotion can be a bit exhausting at times, but this is a Tessa Bailey story. Her heroes are intense.
The one thing that bugs me is the resolution (or lack thereof?) of Natalie's drinking. "Secretly" takes great pains to describe how in her teens, Natalie was a party-girl, acting out to get attention from her family. This included a stay in rehab for drinking. (This episode is later characterized as more of a scared-straight situation, rather than treatment for actual chemical dependence.) When she lands in Napa following her fall from grace in New York, she starts drinking. There are multiple references to the legion of empty wineglasses on her bedside table and multiple occasions where she is totally soused. She's drunk in both of her scenes with August in "Secretly." By the start of "Unfortunately," she's ready to get back on her feet and all this drinking kinda just... goes away? I would have liked a more thoughtful resolution to this issue.

Unfortunately Yours by Tessa Bailey is the second novel in the A Vine Mess series. The novel follows a marriage of convenience relationship between Natalie and August—who both need money for their own investments. Natalie is home in Napa after a broken engagement and a job loss when she meets August, a former Navy Seal turned wine maker. The novel is filled with Tessa Bailey’s signature unique characters, witty banter, romance, and off-the-charts steamy scenes. The novel is another must-read by the author. This series is brilliant with each book building a new love story for readers to enjoy. Readers will not want to miss this sexy yet sweet romance.
(Don’t forget to go back and read the first book in the series.)

LOVED. This one stuck out to me more than the first, and the verbal sparring between Natalie and August? Unmatched. The epilogue had me tearing up too. Natalie and August forever and ever. Thank you.
ARC provided by the publisher via NetGalley.

A classic 'opposites attract', Natalie and August appear to be very different people on the outside. Natalie has just returned home after facing a crushing career blow in New York's financial sector and is looking to make her professional comeback. Meanwhile, August has been trying to get his winery off the ground with little success and is in dire need of some financial backing to stay afloat. The answer to their problems is a partnership that could potentially benefit both but the real question is if they can survive each other and their undeniable chemistry.
I couldn't wait for Natalie and August's story after getting a sneak peek of them in Tessa Bailey's most recent novel "Secretly Yours". So, I was so excited to hear that they were getting their very own story and enjoyed the Hallie and Julian appearances as well. Great chemistry between the characters but there was almost too much banter for me personally.

I’m always a big Tessa Bailey fan. I’ve been enjoying the two book series that she’s put out recently. The couple from this book definitely caught my attention in secretly yours, and I was looking forward to their story. The set up, setting, and characters are all very compelling, and there’s a lot of great humor in the story. It’s an enemies to lovers romance with a marriage of convenience, trope and it will definitely check the box for those readers. The bickering between the couple was a part of their personalities and evolved throughout the book, but it did wear on me after a while. As usual, the spicy scenes are top notch and this will be a big hit for contemporary, romance fans, or other Tessa Bailey fans.

I was so excited when this book came available! Tessa Bailey has been my favorite author since Romancing the Clarkson back in 2016. I was so glad when It Happened One Summer got BookTok famous and the rest of her catalogue took off. She's my Queen of Dirty Talk and Snark and I would read the phone book if she put her spin on it.
Unfortunately Yours is the second in the duology. I actually enjoyed this story more then the first one.
Natalie Vos is the daughter of wine country royalty, who came back to Napa Valley jobless, almost broke and on her way to being an alcoholic.
August Cates is a retired Navy Seal hellbent on starting his own winery. Too bad she's got an awful attitude and hes horrid at making wine.
Until one day they strike up a deal. A marriage of convivence. No Love ofcourse. Maybe just some hate banging.
They are both hard headed strong willed people. There is lots of sexual tension, SO MUCH SNARK. (I love me a sassy woman)
I laughed out loud a lot. The book as a whole was entertaining. Their attraction to each other was smokin'. I'm not sure they would work IRL but in a romance novel, everyone gets their HEA.
This was another 5 Star Tessa Bailey for me. She keeps knocking it out of the park, and I keep eating it up. Cant wait to see what she comes up with next.

I always forget the audiobooks are only available on netgalley app which I don't find user friendly.
Tessa Bailey does it again! I just love her duologies at this point. They are just killer. This book followed one of my favorite tropes -marriage of convenience and these two were just fabulous together. August was both a goof ball and a teddy bear with a protective side. Natalie is fighting an image people have of her. There were times throughout where I just wanted to shake them and yell to just TALK about it. Idk if it slips into miscommunication as much as just not completely communicating.
Overall, loved this duology.

Another winner from Tessa Bailey. I loved the characters. August and Natalie’s banter was laugh out loud, funny. The spice on point as usual. I was happy to be back in the Vos Vineyard world. Just an all around enjoyable read.

Unfortunately Yours that will ping the heart of many readers as Tessa Bailey writes another great romance novel. Sure to please her many fans.Thank you Netgalley and publisher.

Sham wedding, Tessa Bailey, and a vineyard? Yes please! I love her books so much. Each one is just its own little world to crawl into to escape life with cute, fun characters.
