Unfortunately Yours by Tessa Bailey is a fun, steamy romance that had me hooked from the start. The story is about a woman named Georgie who’s basically stuck with a big mess after inheriting a winery. She ends up working with this grumpy, super-hot guy named Jack who is NOT a fan of her at first. But, of course, they start to fall for each other, even though they’re both trying to fight it.

What I loved most was the banter between Georgie and Jack. Their chemistry is insane, and they have so many funny moments that made me laugh out loud. The romance is slow-burn at first, but once it gets going, it’s pretty steamy. The characters are well-developed too, so you actually care about what happens to them.

The plot isn’t super complicated, but it’s lighthearted and perfect for when you’re looking for a feel-good read. There are a few cliché moments, but honestly, it didn’t bother me.

I LOVED THIS BOOK.

It's very hard for me to come by a Tessa Bailey book that I don't enjoy, and Unfortunately Yours did not break that streak. I was hooked from start to finish. I literally finished it in a matter of hours. Truthfully I think that this is her best book since It Happened One Summer, which I think will always be my favorite book from Tessa Bailey.

The relationship between Natalie and August is so sweet and wholesome (and plenty spicy too), that I found myself in tears during several parts of the book. Seriously, every time he called her "his" I swooned. I also think that the aspects of his grief were very well done, and I was bawling like a baby when he was asking his old friend to walk him down the aisle.

My only bone to pick with this book is that I felt like they started wanting each other way too early on in the book. I was hoping for a bit more yearning on both of their parts, but by around the 30% mark it felt like they were both head over heels and they both knew it, they just wouldn't say it out loud. If there were more yearning or groveling it would be a 5 star book for sure.

Overall, I highly recommend this book AND Secretly Yours. This series has my heart, and I need the world to love these books as much as I did.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher in exchange of an honest review.

This was a fun romance, but at times the notes were a bit too cheesy for me and we veered too much into an insta love area. But, overall it was a fun read and good summer book to take to the beach.

Note: I work for the publisher. I love Tessa Bailey writing napa valley! Love this setting for her, what a fun duology.

Unfortunately Yours by Tessa Bailey is a steamy enemies-to-lovers romance that doesn’t hold back on the chemistry. Georgie is fun, sharp, and a bit sassy, while Jack is the brooding, sarcastic guy she can’t stand—at first. Their banter is hilarious, and the slow-burn romance definitely heats up. That said, the plot feels a little predictable at times, especially if you’re familiar with Bailey’s other books. The pacing can also be a bit off in places, especially in the middle. But if you're a fan of Bailey's spicy, fast-paced style, you'll likely enjoy the drama and tension between these two. It’s a fun, satisfying read

Another fun read from Tessa Bailey! Loved the chemistry and banter between the Natalie and August in this lust at first sight, enemies to lovers, marriage of convenience story.

I really wished I had enjoyed this but it was just not for me. I don't think the characters had chemistry and the story bored me a bit. I was expecting the delight of a 2000s rom com in book form and ended up disappointed with sloppy smut.

I really enjoyed this read, maybe as much as I enjoyed It Happened One Summer.

Loved loved loved! There are a lot of hot spicy scenes in this book as it picks up. A major plot twist that had me wanting to know more! Then it became predictable as for the plot twist but continued to read it as Natalie and August' relationship continued to blossom. I loved the epilogue scene where August dresses up in the dress/ tutu for his daughter's dance performance. At first the read was slow but as I became more invested in the book, I finished the book within 2 weeks.

Tessa Bailey does it again! This was such a good read. I always have fun when I read her books. Fun cheesy romance all the way!

After losing her job and her fiancé in one fell swoop, Natalie Vos returned home to lick her wounds. A few months later, she's sufficiently drowned her sorrows in cabernet and she's ready to get back on her feet. August Cates may own a vineyard, but he doesn't know jack about making wine. He's determined to do his late best friend proud, no matter what it takes. Except his tasting room is empty, his wine is disgusting (seriously, he once saw someone gag), and his buddy's legacy is circling the drain. No bank will give him the loan he needs to turn the business around... and then the gorgeous, feisty heiress knocks on his door. Natalie has haunted his dreams since the moment they met, but their sizzling chemistry immediately morphed into simmering insults.

I had a lot of trouble getting through this book. The amount of times the male protagonist is so aroused he has a hard on is teenage level boy shit. It was ridiculous. Yes, Natalie is supposedly super hot. Great. But why do we need to hear about him getting aroused so often? It felt cheap and like I was reading a bad YA novel.

Definitely not my favorite Tessa Bailey book. The male protagonist made me want to throw things.

Unfortunately, this one was not for me. I found the first book of the series to not be to my liking but was told by others that the second was better. Although, I got through more of this book, the characters fell flat. I found little drive in finishing the book.

Thank you to the author and Harper Collins for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I didn’t like this as much as the first book in the series. It was still cute but I was hoping for more from a marriage of convenience, enemies to lovers.

Tessa definitely knows how to hide her spice behind cute illustrated covers. A cute romcom that has a well-written marriage of convenience. I do recommend reading Secretly Yours first to get the full story. I really liked Natalie and August, their story was fun and entertaining.

I wasn't too keen on the first in this series, so I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the hero and heroine of this romcom. The marriage of convenience trope was really fun and the chemistry was palpable!

Book two in the "A Vine Mess" series, I feel like I was missing something having not read book one (Secretly Yours). I also giggle a little bit looking at these cute illustrated covers, and then at the absolute FILTH Tessa Bailey writes. I wonder how many people find that to be a (very literal) nasty surprise, lol.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series, but theres just something about this book that stole my heart. Tessa Bailey absolutely nailed it again (shocking I know). She made me fall in love with every single character in this book (except for her father) while also making me want to move to wine country.

Tessa Bailey’s Unfortunately Yours is a charming rom-com that showcases her signature blend of humor and romance. Natalie Vos, facing personal setbacks, returns home and finds herself in a bind—she needs to marry to access her trust fund and start a new business. Enter August Cates, a struggling vineyard owner with whom she shares a fiery chemistry. Their initial animosity evolves into a sizzling connection, adding a lively and entertaining layer to their forced marriage arrangement.

While the book delivers on its romantic and comedic promises, it follows familiar patterns found in Bailey’s other works. The plot is predictable, and the characters' development, though engaging, doesn't veer far from Bailey's established style. Nonetheless, the dynamic between Natalie and August is captivating, and their journey from mutual disdain to deep affection provides a satisfying read for fans of the genre.

I really loved Unfortunately Yours by Tessa Bailey! Natalie and August’s love story was a great escape with many of my favorite tropes, including Enemies to Lovers and Marriage of convenience! Tessa wrote them perfectly. I’m generally not a fan of he falls firsts but still enjoyed August and Natalie’s banter back and forth throughout. Thank you so much for the ARC

I remember Natalie from Secretly Yours and was so excited she was getting her own story! If you like fake marriage, enemies to lovers, family drama, witty banter, and steam this is the book for you. Natalie and August are two opposites that definitely attract. August is a strong Navy SEAL but he's also a big teddy bear and I loved, loved, LOVED his character. He's such a great friend in honoring Sam and I loved that.

Unfortunately Yours is the second book in Tessa Bailey's A Vine Mess series. I was not a fan of the first book so I'm glad this second book has redeemed itself. Overall, I enjoyed it, but I would not say it's one of my favorite books by her. Fan Girl Down is my current Tessa Bailey obsession!
