I couldn’t get enough of Jackson & Mandy. They had great chemistry. Loved, loved, loved it. And am voluntarily leaving my review.

This was my first Helen Hardt novel, and I'm sure it won't be my last! I went into this not expecting to give it a 5 star rating, but here I am.

This book was HOT and steamy, but not over the top. It had just the right amount of spice with an actual plot. Fair warning, it does explore erotica and BDSM, so if that's not your jam, I would give this one a pass.

This book was emotional and I loved the softer moments as it explored the changing relationship between Amanda and Jackson. They had incredible chemistry even though it took so long for them to accept it. I found their internal struggle with their changing relationship a bit repetitive, but I spent the entire book rooting for them to make it work.

I loved that it didn't take 3/4 of the book to get into the "good stuff". It was a well-paced easy read for me, and I already can't wait to read more from this series and this author,

I was really intrigued when I read the blurb, and because I love Helen's books, I signed up for the arc.

Mandy and Jackson have been friends for a really long time. Mandy have been in love with Jackson for a long time, but she's afraid Jackson would never return her feelings back. She plans to move on and created a profile on a dating app to fulfill her desires. Mr. Dark reaches out to her and promise to fulfill her desires at the Black Rose Underground BDSM club. What will happen when Mr. Dark is her best friend and the man she loves, Jackson?

I love that it's a friends to lovers, and it's definitely steamy. But I got frustrated a bit of the back and forth between them. It made the book dragged on for a bit, but besides that, I enjoy the book.

A quiet sweet girl with a lifelong crush discovers her best friend is in the BDSM community. There are major 50 Shades vibes.

This book is FOR you if you like:
Friends to lovers
BDSM

This book is NOT for you if you don’t like:
Major miscommunication
Insta-lust
Redundancy

Thank you to Netgalley, Helen Hardt, and Entangled Publishing for providing an arc in exchange for an honest review.

This book was too long for what it is! The story dragged on for too long and the characters doesn't have any personality. This also made me not want to read for a week. It's just not for me.

This was a quick read that kept my interest the whole time. It follows Amanda, also know as Mandy who is in love with her best friend. A great, believable story line.

Blush, another spicy story by Ms. Hardt. Well-written story that really packs a punch. Good characters.

I thoroughly enjoyed "Blush" and sped through it quicker than I have quite a few books lately. Although the FMC was decidedly naïve for someone her age, I liked her and the MMC enough to want to see it develop. Check the trigger warnings to make sure there isn't anything you can't handle. Maybe a little more graphicly detailed than 50 Shades but with a much less angsty MMC and a much more believable story line. If that hint isn't enough to warn you to the main theme, then I can't help your deductive reasoning! :) If you enjoy a spicy read, this one is for you. If you don't like spice, stay away!

Blush was a delicious novel about a girl in love with her best friend, who only thinks of her as "Mandy Cakes". I loved every stereotypical moment of this one. The "naughty" scenes were well done for people who maybe don't enjoy the BDSM romance novels as much. Amanda may have been a bit of a recluse but she felt like a STRONG female character. Her desire for submission to her hero was HER choice. I really enjoyed this one and look forward to the next in the series with Amanda's sister.

I thought this book was okay. It I kept an open mind as I was reading this one because I usually like Helen Hardts books but this one fell short for me. It definitely wasn’t her best but that’s just my opinion.

WOW!! I can't believe what I just read. Blush is extremely hot, stimulating, hyperventilating! I loved Jackson and Mandy’s mind blowing chemistry! This book was so good and she wrote their love story so well. I can't wait to read the second book to this series. I highly recommend this book.

I really enjoyed this story. Amanda and Jackson are firmly stuck in the best friend zone until Amanda decides it’s time for her to own her sexuality and explore kinks she’s intrigued by. The fact Jackson is who she’s secretly exploring them with adds a fun, almost voyeur aspect to the story.

So if you like your books with a dash of kink this one’s for you.

I am just getting into Helen Hardt's books. I love the characters. It felt like they came alive. It was a hot hot hot read. The scenes felt real like they could have really happened in BDSM club. This was beautifully written, and the Black Rose feels like it could really be a club for real. I really need to go and read more of Helen Hardt's books. I can't wait for more to come and see what happens with some of the characters that were mentioned in this book. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes romance.

Blush has to be one of the most aggravating romances that I have ever read, but somehow I binged the hell out of it and now I want to read book 2. Either I have gone insane or I have found a new guilty pleasure.

WOW!!! I loved Jackson and Mandy.
Where to start? Well, on one hand you have life long best friends who consistently put their friendship ahead of their heart. In the long run it ultimately sets them on the path for destruction. A terrible accident puts things right in their world BUT it's obvious they are going to have another hurdle to overcome.

I can't wait to continue this story.

How far would you go and what would you do to keep the love of your life? This book shows the power of love and all the craziness and tenderness that go into getting your happy ending.

What's your pleasure?

The Black Rose Underground Club is back and hotter than ever. Don't miss Helen Hardt's next tantalizing and sensual new series in BLUSH.

Memorable characters, polished writing, and deliciously off-the-charts hot love scenes demonstrate a great read. It's not a friends-to-lovers trope in my opinion. More like frenemies
Jack and Mandy have been best friends since diapers. However, they spent the majority of the book fighting with each other. Mandy wants the full BDSM experience and Jack tries to turn her away.

Jack should not have guided her through the Black Rose from the beginning. It should have been an experience to build up to. Inside the Black Rose club, they behaved like children fighting in the sandbox. Not a good look for someone who is supposed to be a Dominate.

Even when the characters make you want to hit them upside their heads, Hardt knows how to keep her readers invested in their story. Her writing is excellent, and I love everything she writes. I'm definitely waiting with bated breath for the next book in the series...BLOOM.

Thank you #Netgalley and #EntangledPublishing for the advanced reader copy.

Blush, while very readable, was a very frustrating take on the best friends to lovers trope. Seriously, someone should slap Jackson. Would one conversation with your childhood best friend killed you??? We get it, you’re into BDSM, and you don’t want to scare her away, but come on.
