Holy Plot Twist!

The Stay At Home Mother, put me on a dark and twisted ride of a lifetime.

I cant even begin to describe the way this book was skillfully crafted to come together with an explosive ending that no one will see coming. Talk about twisted! Cue the jaw drop.

This was my first book by Nicole Trope, but there is no way I will stop now, I just want more more more! Nicole, is a true storyteller that will have us all eating out of her hands if she keeps delivering books like this. After concluding The Stay At Home Mother , I did my research to find any and all books that might have been published previously and imagine my surprise when I had FOUR books to choose from (I ended up choosing The Boy in the Photo)

Not only did I find 4 books but I also found out some history behind Nicole and how she came to start writing. Her story just goes to show you, when one door closes, another will open.

Nicole Trope went to University to study law but realized the error of her ways when she didnt do as well as planned on her first law essay because-as her professor pointed out- 'It's not meant to be a story.’

This led Nicole right on the path to becoming and now currently a USA Best Selling Author.

I have become a fan of Nicole with just having read The Stay At Home Mother and I am sure you will be too! Check out the teaser below :

Her chest tightens, her heart speeding up. The kitchen is chaos. She steps on something hard, and looks down. Toy dinosaurs are scattered everywhere. But her son is nowhere – her baby boy is gone.

The police arrive. She can’t look at her husband. Instead, she studies the network of lines on her shaking hands.

Then her phone beeps with a voice message. ‘Listen to it on speaker,’ says the detective.

A woman’s voice fills the air.

‘I’m assuming this is the Andrea Gately listed as a contact on the Missing Children of the World website. I’m calling to let you know that I’ve given your details to the police. Why are you using a picture of my son on a missing children’s website? Why are you using it and where did you get it?’

An absolutely unputdownable psychological thriller that will leave you gasping with shock and staying up way past your bedtime. Perfect for fans of Lisa Jewell, Liane Moriarty and Adele Parks.

I seriously loved this book. It had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish and had me guessing until the last page. I didn’t predict the ending at all but the plot was so well crafted everything finally made sense by the end. The characters were relatable and well developed, and I couldn’t help rooting for the main character. I’m excited to read more from this author in the future. Thank you to Netgalley, the author and publisher, for a chance to read and review this book.

I love books by Nicole Trope and this one did not dissapoint. This one kept me hooked from the beginning. The only thing I would say is plan to stay up reading this one. Maybe even reading during the day because it has a lot of twists and turns and not sure if you will up all night after finishing. Its definately a thriller.
Thank you Net Galley for giving me the opportunity to read this one.

Thank you to the publisher and #Netgalley for the arc. I love domestic thrillers! This was my first book by Nicole Trope and I am excited to read more from her. There were many twists, sometimes predictable. But, I was still entertained and couldn’t wait to finish.

A classic twist and turn book which is fast paced and gripping, far fetched and an easy read! Thanks for the read

Well Nicole has done it yet again, she has provided us with another outstanding brilliant and gripping read.

I thought the story was absolutely brilliant and so well written and the characters are all so very well portrayed and believable. I truly felt sorry for Andrea quite a lot, all that she had to put up with and go through, all whilst pregnant and looking after her 3 year old son. I don’t entirely agree with her decision that she made at the very end of the book but I can also understand and see why she did what she did. It was obviously the right decision for her and her family at the end of the day.

As for the character of Gabby, we’ll she was definitely a surprising one, was not expecting half of the stuff that she did nor the secrets that she was keeping. I did feel a tiny little bit sorry for her though, especially with her past that she had to contend with. Anyway I realise this paragraph won’t make a lot of sense to readers that are reading my review, but that’s good as hopefully it’ll make you go read this book yourself. I really do recommend that you do.

THE WAY THIS BOOK ENDS. 5 stars indeed.

Here I thought “oh, okay I knew I wasn’t too far off from predicting the twist….” Nope. I was wrong. There’s MORE. I loved how on my toes it kept me. The characters were well written, but still confusing in the sense that you don’t know what is actually going on within their personal lives in the story.

I found myself frustrated not knowing if I was on the right path guessing.
I
At one point, in my head, I thought this book was more of a 4 star read until I reached the very end. Just know, it’s not going to end how you think it is!

Thanks so much NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC.

A quick, easy read for those who enjoy books with unreliable narrators and surprising twists. It makes one think about the joys and troubles of raising children and how exhausting and worrisome it can be,

What the heck just happened??? What a crazy, amazing story! Creepy and unbelievable. Had to put many tasks aside to finish it.

This is a really fast read, full of twist and turns and an unreliable narrator that keeps you guessing. It is definitely plot-driven (but for me the plot seemed a bit far-fetched) and one of the main characters is pretty creepy which adds to the fun. Personally, I like a little more character focused mysteries, but this was a fun romp. Thank you NetGalley and publishers for providing a digital ARC for review.

As always Trope arrives and delivers a tense, impactful thriller & does it again this time. I was hung on every chapter to know what was coming next. The lead up, building of suspension and crazy conclusion is absolutely divine! Superbly done with the right amount of scrumptious suspense and mystery. I happily gave up my hours of cleaning & cooking to be submerged in this yummy treat with no regrets (my dog would say otherwise though! 😉) I always enjoy Trope's unbelievably twists and turns and how wickedly she never lets you see what's to come always catching you off guard. Absolutely a guilty pleasure I'll happy admit to!

Thank you to NetGalley & Bookouture for this ARC.

🛑MY REVIEW🛑

The Stay-at-Home Mother
by Nicole Trope is a expertly crafted story and every mothers nightmare. The plot is suspenseful and thrilling at all times. It truly is a heart-pounding amazing very well written story.I was so glued to the pages that i tuned out the world and read it in just a few hours. Each chapter ending in a way that you have to keep turning the pages. All of the characters are really well developed. One you will hate right from the start.
This is my first time ever reading one of Trope's books. I definitely will be adding more of her books to my tbr list. I wish I could fly through the rest of my books that I am behind on reviews for the way I did this one. I would be caught up in no time.
