Delegation.... A simple word but a bane to my existence. Delegation make me anxiety because based on experiences it was meant I must redo the jobs my self or fixed it. It easier doing everything by my self since begining. Do you ever hear something related ? As ex perfectionist, I feel the same. I can delegate now in small projects just I just cant let the important stuff out of my own hands.

This book feel like friendly reminder slaps on face. Full of hard truth and explanation why this small word is very important expecially for business owner to avoid burn out. This book not solving all problems but it generously offer advice and strategies about the topic and how to make it really work
I like the writing style, it is friendly and practical.
This book will help so many business people.

Very practical advice to people management. I think the most helpful part was the strategies to delegation. If anything else that's a good take away.

I think this is a useful book for entrepreneurs who are moving towards employing staff. I found it a bit too complex for the needs of someone only wishing to outsource work via Virtual Assistants or a Vitual Team. For those in business who are building their paid staff component then this has valuable insights and help.

Not Your Job was an interesting and fresh viewpoint on running a business for maximized success and minimal burnout. Using lots of examples from Brantley's personal and professional experiences, each chapter used these to provide a framework for any entrepreneur looking to make a successful business out of his or her fledgling side hustle.

With a dynamic and engaging writing style, it is easy to see why Brantley is a motivational speaker and has made that part of his brand. However, once it came to downloading templates to help organize and delegate work, Brantley only offers this by becoming part of an email list through his website. He promises to send a weekly email with lots of ideas from himself and industry vets in addition to the templates advertised in his book. A great way to mentor a large audience to promote widespread success, but personally off-putting for me where weekly mass emails quickly get set aside until another time.

But the book itself is absolutely worth the read, has loads of new ideas, and optimism to help even the most overworked business owner have the courage to try something new with his or her own business.
