No One Needs To Know by Lindsay Cameron is a fictional thriller about families on the Upper East Side of New York City and the ends they'll go to for their children's education. They also all are members of a social platform called UrbanMyth where they all post their secrets anonymously and ask for advice. When UrbanMyth is hacked and their identities are revealed, one of them goes missing. Who is involved?
Thank you, NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine, for the Advanced Readers Copy of No One Needs To Know by Lindsay Cameron. I received this novel for free in exchange for my honest review. I was excited to learn I was approved to read this story.
A slow burn, Lindsay Cameron weaved an intriguing tale that had me on the edge of my seat. There were a couple of mysteries going on in the story. I had no idea where the author was going with the one mystery, and I was shocked at the revelation at it. As far as the other mystery goes, I figured what likely happened to the character but had no idea who was involved with it.
Told from three different characters, none of them were particularly likable. I kept expecting them to redeem themselves, and I guess they did somewhat in the end. However, I still didn't really care for any of them.
Well written, intriguing, and absolutely entertaining, I thoroughly enjoyed No One Needs To Know by Lindsay Cameron. Five out of five stars.

I’ve never lived a life like the characters in this book: filthy rich, with beautiful homes, bodies tucked and molded, and children that are definitely going to the finest schools, no matter what. After reading this, it quells any desires I might have had to live the life of the rich.
Meet Poppy, Norah, and Heather, a cut-throat group of mothers whose daughters are vying for a few spaces in the most prestigious school. Two-faced, manipulative, and determined to succeed, these women will do whatever it takes. They all anonymously vent their frustrations on a safe website, UrbanMyth. They openly discuss affairs, money, and personal family secrets. All is fun until one day it isn’t. The cloak of secrecy is thrown back and life gets vicious.
You’ll detest these ladies, but at times you’ll actually have a small amount of compassion for them. This is another fun, quick, entertaining read by the author of “Just One Look”. Both books will keep you hooked until the last page.

"No One Needs to Know" was a fast paced book with multiple points of view. The drama on the Upper East Side in New York is endless for high school kids and their parents, and we got to read all about that in this book.

Life on the upper east side of Manhattan is no picnic, especially if you have children and you must understand the rules of the game if you want them to be accepted into the best schools. Sure, a smart child helps, but money can make up for more than just an average student.
Told from three POV’s, Heather, Poppy, and Norah, who each want the best for their child. Poppy has the most money, and she knows how to use it to ensure that her son winds up exactly where she wants him.
Heather doesn’t have a trust fund to fall back on, but she knows how to make sure her smart daughter Violet gets into the best schools. A picture and one mistake may mean Violet doesn’t achieve her plans and she will do just about anything to figure out who is out to get Violet
Norah is a working mother. She was lucky enough to marry Bennett, who treats her daughter Caroline very well. But when she finds out what he’s been doing, she will stop at nothing to protect Caroline.
These three women’s lives become tangled in the same messy situation when someone goes missing. Add in the fact that an anonymous group they belong to is hacked, and you have the recipe for some ugly truths to become public.
This publishes in May, and when I read the last word, all I could think of was what a great beach read,No One Needs to Know would be. It was hard to find a redeeming quality with most of these characters, but it was a juicy page turner. It reminded me that the rich or rich wannabes are truly different. This one had me rolling my eyes at these women on just about every single page.

This book was WAY better than I thought it would be. The story is far more complex than you think at first. The extremes that these people go to are beyond. Just beyond!

I loved this book so much! I really didn’t know what it was about when I started reading it, but I quickly was obsessed! The characters are well developed, and I couldn’t help but love them all!

This was a fun one & I really enjoyed this book. I love a good book about the rich and add in a suspense aspect I'm so glad that I got the chance to read it early and will definitely be recommending it to multiple people who enjoy these types of novels. I enjoyed the characters and especially enjoyed the writing by this author. I'm excited to see what the author comes out with next as I'll definitely be reading it! Thank you to the publisher for my early copy of this book

It’s not so easy living the life of a one-percenter.💰
Love a good neighborhood thriller? Alright. What if that neighborhood wasn’t in the suburbs, but instead had an address on THE Park Avenue on the Upper East Side! Ooh! Scandalous!
Does living the high life of the ultra-rich make all your problems go away? Or do you just have different, bigger troubles with more dire consequences? (Umm...No thank you!).
Three couples bent on doing whatever it takes to get their golden children into a prestigious boarding school. Is it worth all the accompanying lies and scandals that are about to follow?
A fun engaging read that drew me in immediately! Loved how the stories of these families wove together for an explosive ending.
Though I read the digital version I do think this would’ve been even better as an audio with multiple narrators. Maybe I should have waited for the 🎧🤷♀️
Already looking forward to the next release by this skillful author.
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine for granting my wish.🧞♀

My thanks to Net Galley and Random House for allowing me to review this arc.
I'm on the fence with this one. I like the concept of the parent app getting hacked and all the dirty secrets come out. Gave me a soap opera Desperate Housewives element. I thought it cool how it had elements of the College Admissions Scandal. Well written, great flow, but , quick read. HOWEVER, the dead body I was waiting for was not mentioned till about past 60% of the book. Plus none of these characters were likeable.

I have enjoyed Lindsay Cameron’s previous books and this one was good as well. It definitely has a grown up Gossip Girl vibe and I had fun reading that it. Some of the chapters dragged a bit in the middle, which is why I’m giving it 4 stars, but I liked the resolution to the main mystery.

I hated almost every person in this book, so that was my first problem with it. I did like the conclusion, although it didn’t feel all that realistic.
I literally rolled my eyes at the awful antics of the women at the beginning of the book. However, it was interesting to see how different their warped view of life was from what was really happening.

No One Needs to Know is a high-society domestic thriller centered around parents of private school children in the Upper East Side. These parents would do anything to secure a spot in the most prestigious boarding schools and universities, but where do they draw the line?
This book is written in multiple perspectives, switching between different women with children enrolled at Crofton private school. The perspective switching was executed well and helped the story to feel fast-paced. It reads very much like a drama-filled TV show from the mid-2000s (in a good way). The characters are not likable, but they are really interesting.
This book will probably infuriate you and make you want to eat the rich, but it's also a trainwreck that you can't look away from. If you like high-society domestic thrillers you'll definitely like this book.

Secrets….they’re not good and everybody has em. Also, rich people are bonkers and will do anything for whatever it s they “love”. I sure hope this isn’t really what the UES’s are truly like. This story never really jelled for me. It’s perfectly fine but I found the resolution to be unsatisfying and the timing off.

This fast paced multiple POV thriller was a little slow to start but had my interest enough to keep going. I'm glad I did because I didn't see that ending coming. I enjoyed this Gossip Girl/RHONY thriller. 3 women and 1 man who can ruin it al!!!

This fast paced, multiple-POV story had me feeling like I was in an adult version of Gossip Girl. I love stories that include snarky, nosy neighbors, and the "anonymous" neighborhood app at the center of this novel delivers hard on that plot device. The chapters are short, and alternating through the women's POVs kept me totally hooked on unraveling what went wrong. It reminded me of Such a Quiet Place by Megan Miranda, but with its own more urban setting. Add this to your list for a fun thrill ride!

Oh my god!!!! Yesssss!!!! I loved it. Focusing on the lives of 3 Upper East Side women and the man that can unravel everything. . Full of twists and turns and a school admissions scandal.

No One Needs to know was utterly compulsive!!
Perfect for fans of Gossip Girl and those who love a look at the darker side of social media, this one will have you thinking about it once you’ve walked away!
Set in the Upper East Side, No One Needs To Know focuses on the parents of the privileged, UES private school kids. It was sexy, full of tension, and literally like the adult version of Gossip Girl (while having a *completely* different story line - this novel is hardly a love story😉)
I absolutely loved how the first page started with the mystery narrator noticing she’s listening for the sirens… throughout the book there are many references to sirens (hopefully intended by the author!), which made it very fun to “play along” and guess who was guilty!
A quick, easy, but compulsive read!

I really enjoyed this one. It was realistic and very timely. It was a bit of a slow start but it kept me intrigued. The characters were well written. I love when everyone has something to hide!!

I really enjoyed this new one by Lindsey Cameron. It was like The Real Housewives of New York City meets the celebrity college admissions scandal. Lots of drama involving Heather, Poppy, and Norah, who all live on the Upper West Side and find their lives upended when an anonymous message board is hacked. All their confessions are no longer secret and consequences for bad behavior must be faced.

This was not my typical read. And yet, at times, I felt as if I had read it before. If you liked Big Little Lies, you will like this one. It centers around a bunch of wealthy families and their school in the Upper East Side of New York City. There is a trail of gossip and backstabbing as the moms work to get their kids accepted into a future boarding school.
They also post on a new social media forum, Urban Myth, an app that allows people to post anonymously, and posts are only shared in a three-mile radius. Feeling comfortable, people post way too much information regularly. Of course, nothing is truly anonymous, and things go completely sideways when they figure it out.
There are three main POVs: Heather: A helicopter parent who will do anything for her daughter’s success. Poppy: A major bitch who rules the school. Norah: A businesswoman who is a little out of touch with what is happening.
I have to split this book into two parts. The first 70%, which I got bored and frustrated with – 2 stars. And the last 30% was really well-crafted and held a lot of surprises – 4 stars. In the beginning, the writing is very cliché and often cringe-worthy. None of the characters are likable, and it was hard for me to grasp the story. I don’t give up easily but almost did.
But as the plot thickened, the writing seemed to tighten up. It was actually better, and the twists were very well done. I didn’t see the ending coming at all, and I enjoyed the resolution immensely. So I’m going 3.5 stars for this one and might try another book from her.
