My app updated and I lost all my audiobooks. I was unable to download it again so I missed out on listening to this book.

This was a fun witchy detective story. The plot is interesting and exciting from the first listen. The entire story is enjoyable. The narrator does a great job as well.

This wasn't really my cup of tea. In fact, I don't really recall much of the story. That being said, I think there was a lot to enjoy about it. I remember being engaged as I was reading it. I think someone interested in YA witch (and vampire) mystery style stories would enjoy this one.

I really enjoyed this book and the mystical FBI aspect of it. I'm excited to read the other books in the series.

4.5 stars rounded to 5 stars!

This audiobook was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. It is one of few times where I wish it were much, much longer. I didn’t want the story to end so soon. This audiobook was so enjoyable that I picked up the next two in the series the same week.

I really appreciate the lack of explicit material in this book, where I personally get no enjoyment from spicy scenes. I can also appreciate the lesbian secondary character, but I wanted more. More queerness in this witchy world. Perhaps a non-binary or asexual character.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who appreciates fantasy, YA, light mysteries, and witchy reads.

(I received this audiobook ALC via NetGalley in return for an honest review. Thank you.)

The story overall was slow to get into and I honestly never got into the narrative. I thoroughly enjoy witch and vampire stories. It may have been the murder mystery part of the story but the story was not for me.

Pink Moon is a cute paranormal cozy mystery. I like the humor and storyline. It was an enjoyable fun read.

If you like cozy mysteries with some fantasy then this is a fun one.

Kit has been out of service ti the Hex Support Office (a kind of magical FBI) for a number of years following the death of her husband. Instead, she's focused on raising her children, and also her much younger sisters. Now with everyone grown, and the kids in college, Kit is approached by her old boss out of desperation. A beheading has happened to a high profile witch, and the suspect list is endless. While investigating, she inadvertently teams up with a vampire PI who is intent to work together, despite her protests. Will she be able to solve the case like everyone else thinks she can? Or is she as out of touch as she believes herself to be?

I loved so many aspects of this book. However, based on the cover, I was anticipated a much different approach and style. What I got was a supernatural murder mystery when I was expecting something more mysterious and dark. Once I got over that let down, and began reading for what it was, I was pleasantly surprised.

There's nothing deep here, and barely enough to keep me entertained enough to read further books in the series. It doesn't help that this is apparently set in a pre-existing world in the author's back list and so some aspects are presented as though I should already know them. Thankfully, as a fantasy, this isn't too jarring and distracting. What I didn't enjoy the most was the implied drugging of the female character, when it could have just been an aspect of vampires that had her spilling all her secrets or something like that. It was something I would expect from an early 2000's piece that lacked the awareness to understand how supremely not okay that was. I admit I found everything else about his character interesting, but that one scene leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I don't know if I'll continue with the series, the covers are stunning, but I'm simply left a little disappointed, and a little underwhelmed. An okay enough cozy mystery, and when I get in that kind of mood again, I'll pick up book two.

This paranormal cozy mystery was definitely not for me. Kat is a mother of two twins and the eldest sister of two other witches who live with her. Her husband was deceased and it is stated he was killed on the job. Why do I bring this up? Because about every other chapter, the author continues to repeat this.

There was a death of a socialite in Savannah and Kat has been asked by her former boss, Martin from the FBM to investigate Dotty's death. Dotty was a paranormal, as well. Kat comes across many characters along with an extremely handsome but mysterious vampire named Palmer. Who hired Palmer is also part of the mystery, Kat would like to solve.

The repeat of the fact that Kat is a mom and her kids are in college, her husband is dead, her sisters live with her and she feels like they need her, it's too repetitive.

What I strongly did not care for was a scene where Palmer slipped a little "cocktail" into Kat's drink in hopes to get her to spill the beans of her investigation. That's a hard no for me. I resented that, actually.

What I did enjoy about it was the narrator. The storyline, the way the mystery was solved, and the characters themselves, not so much.

I would like to thank NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for this e-audio copy for my honest opinion.

There’s an audience for this book out there, it’s just not me. Cozy mystery fans who are down with a little fantasy will love this, I just wanted a bit more grit. However, our main character is hard not to love and I appreciate that she was older. Hers is a demographic we don’t see enough in popular literature.

I enjoyed the book but I didn’t find it riveting. This is a murder mystery with the MC working for a magical govt agency to solve it. I enjoyed the character of Palmer the most and I’m curious about the house and James’s death.

I didn’t really get Sabrina the teenage witch vibes, but I could tell by the summary they were targeting an older audience. (Castle) I did love the book though. I couldn’t put it down.

Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for this ALC.

This was such a fun and charming audiobook! I absolutely loved that the main character was a fully adult women with kids. What a nice change of perspective for a magical fantasy romance!

Katherine (Kit) Fairfield was a powerful agent for Hex Support, a secret division within the Federal Bureau of Magic, before she left to raise her twin daughters. When a tough case comes around Kit is asked to return to her old crime solving ways!

Kit was funny, powerful, and relatable! It was so much fun following her in this first installment of the Hex Support Series. I can’t wait to start the next one!

The narrator was wonderful and clear, as was the audio quality from Dreamscape Media!! I throughly enjoyed and would recommend.

Cozy mystery AND cozy fantasy in one book? Plus an absolutely adorable cover? Throw in a 40+ year old main character? Instant yes from me.
While this book seemed like it would be right up my alley, I sadly just couldn't get into it. There were so many characters and things to keep track of, so I ended up getting lost at multiple points. I've been trying to get into audiobooks more lately, but I think this one would have been much more enjoyable if I was reading it instead of listening. I know without a doubt that many others will love this book, though!

A cute, quirky fantasy with a tad bit of romance and an intriguing mystery thrown in. This charming mystery was exactly what I needed at the time. It's fast paced and never loses the readers attention. The mystery portion was not easy to figure out, in fact, I did not until it was revealed. The romance portion was more alluring, including the witty banter between the protagonist and antagonist.

I will be reading the rest of the series in the near future.

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Carly Robins. Cary does a great job portraying the wit, and quirkiness of the characters.

I want to thank Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for an advanced audiobook.

2 out of 5 stars.

I found myself getting distracted constantly with this audiobook, it could just not hold my attention. I wasn't enjoying what I was taking in. This is definitely a title that tons of people would love though! I think my tastes are just maturing a bit fast and I keep picking books out to review that I end up not liking because I don't know what I'll like anymore.

Katherine, aka Kit, is a witch, who used to work for the FBI’s magical counterpart the Federal Bureau of Magic in their secret devision, Hex Support. But after the tragic passing of her husband, Kit quit and focused on raising her twins and run her families estate, Dark Hollow, with her two sisters. Until one day, 10 years later, Kit’s former boss makes her an offer she can’t refuse and Kit is sent to Savannah to investigate the murder of a popular socialite. With the help of a dark mysterious vampire named Palmer, will Kit be able to close the case?

We love a protagonist that’s in their 40’s with grow kids! I found Kit’s backstory really interested and would have loved more (I was hoping the next book would continue on with Kit’s story but it looks like each book will focus a different sister, and each book seems to be a standalone!).

While there are a wide variety of magical beings in this book (witches, vampires, ghosts, familiars etc) this book is definitely a murder mystery. I got some strong Clue, Knives Out vibes from this. I would have loved to know more about how the magical system works, how things are different for witches and non-magical beings and the different types of witches. Hopefully that will be explored more in the future books!

This book focuses on the plot with mild character development and maybe some romance at the end 👀. The ending was quick. Everything was wrapped up well in the end of the book, a little too quick honestly. I did not guess who the killer was but once it was revealed the “ah-ha” moment was great! It was very believable and the clues were easy to reflect back too.

I received an audio version of this book and enjoyed Carly Robins narration. It was very well done and kept me engaged the whole time! The comedic timing was everything and I finished this in just over 24 hours.

I can’t wait to read (or listen) to the next book and learn more about the FBM and Dark Hollow (did I mention the estate is a compound for retired familiars!!!!!!!!)

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for an advanced audio copy for an honest review. I love you guys 💕

This book started off strong but I started to lose interest half-way through. The introduction of so many characters made it difficult to remember details and who-was-who. The book piqued my interest with the magic element but it teetered the line of reading like a YA novel. The audio book was well done I just was left needing a bit more from the story.

Pink Moon is the first witchy book I’ve really enjoyed recently. I love the more mature heroine. I thought the mystery and the familial conflict was really interesting. The narration was really good. I definitely want to read more in this series. I did find it really horrifying that the heroine threatens to a** r*pe the vampire who becomes her love interest early on. I thought it was totally offensive and left a sour taste in my mouth. There were other few times where dialogue seemed stiff but on the whole I enjoyed the book, I just wish that one joke could have been cut.
