This cookbook is pretty easy to follow and has decent variety in recipes. It also does a great job of explaining what Low-Lectin means.

Every recipe does not have a picture, which is unfortunate. Many cookbooks fail in this aspect: a perfect cookbook has a picture for every recipe.

Unfortunately this cookbook isn’t for me. While it did have some great sounding recipes, most of the ingredients aren’t widely available. I have no problem if a few are harder to source but this had quite a few, with no substitutions offered. Tiger Nut for granola? Make your own bread with sorghum and tiger nut flour. It’s just not feasible in smaller towns. The cost to ship would be astronomical.

Also a recipe, for a smoothie, starts out with “for days you don’t feel like chewing”. It was just odd phrasing.

There are many good recipes I would like to try. If I can find all the ingredients.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review the ARC for "Everyday Low-Lectin Cookbook." I am always interested in new types of healthy eating, and I had never heard of low lectin cooking. After reading the introduction, I have come to the conclusion that this is complete pseudo science. The author is not a nutritionist but a "Nutrition Health Coach," and more of an influencer. I would suggest speaking to your general practitioner when looking to for healthy ways to lose weight. Her description of what lectins are in ludicrous and thats when I lost faith in the author's expertise. Overall the recipes are mostly plant based and what you expect from a health nut. Not a lot of them look that appetizing unfortunately. The Margherita pizza boat and the desserts were some of the recipes I would possibly try. Overall disappointed in this cookbook.

OMG, this recipes sounds so great - Aplle Galette with Hazelnut crumbles *yumm*

I personally love cooking - no matter what (well there are a few things I don´t like and cook)´and therefor I reallly really love to read Cookbooks or lookt into one.

This low Lection boook was interesting and I will do a few receipes (haven´t chossen yet, depends on my mood and so on) . I was given a lot of interesting facts, lots of tips and yummy receipes - what I really loved was: cups AND grams/ml - I am not american, so I prefer gram and ml =) although I do have cups and co at home =) .

I liked the design of this Cookbook - I cannot stand cooking books without any pictures or a bit illustraton, it makes cookingbook sad and boring.

In my opinion a nice gift for someone, who loves to cook - as I said: no matter what as long as it is delicious!

This is a book I went into with a huge interest in recipes, cooking, health and diet culture in general, but admittedly not by any means familiar with 'lectins', or the need to be low, on them on my radar. If, like me ,you thought all so-called 'health' food are good for you, this is a real eye-opener! Thanks to this book I not only know what they are, and why I should consider reducing them, but I have a whole host of delicious new recipes to try into the bargain!

Delightful and practical recipes that include focaccia bread, which is later converted into 'Quick pizza margherita boats' are presented in a visually very pleasing way.

I was so pleased that 'sweets and treats' are not neglected, and I can be considered utterly sold on the 'red velvet with mascarpone and coconut cream', it promises to be the 'easiest birthday cake you will ever make', and if the photos are anything to go by, I cant wait to find out if it tastes as good as it looks!

This is the first recipe book that has excited me in a long while, and I'm looking forward to seeing if the health of myself and my family improves as a result of my acting on the knowledge it has imparted.

My thanks to NetGalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an advance copy.

Thank you Harvard Common Press and NetGalley for the advanced electronic review copy of this book. This book focuses on low lectin recipes and explains the impact lectins have on our health. There are pictures of various recipes so that people can see a finished product. One difficulty is that some of the ingredients are not available in the mainstream grocery stores (ex. yacon syrup, sorghum and tiger nut flours, licorice powder, etc), requiring a trip to a specialized health food store or ordering online. Most recipes are appealing but this cookbook would most likely appeal to those in need of this particular diet.

Claudia Curici, developer of the popular web site, Creative in my Kitchen is a pioneer in the low-lectin trend, and her web site not only emphasizes low-lectin foods, but also gluten-free, sugar-free, and anti-inflammatory recipes and information. She has put dozens of her mouthwatering recipes and photographs in her cookbook, Everyday Low-Lectin Cookbook: More than 100 Recipes for Fast and Easy Comfort Food for Weight Loss and Peak Gut Health . Low-Lectin is a new trend that is slowly taking off; it promises weight loss and less gut pain, which is a problem for many.

The recipes are written in an organized manner, so they are easy to follow and can be followed by anyone, whether a seasoned or beginning cook. Most of the recipes have beautiful photographs, so cooks can see what the finished product looks like; that is very helpful.

There are dozens of recipes that will appeal to almost everyone, and most aren’t particularly difficult to make. However the list of ingredients in many of the recipes is very long, so plan on taking a bit longer in the kitchen than when making ordinary and dishes that are quick and easy from the tried-and-true repertoire that most cooks go to.

One small negative to this cookbook is that it calls for ingredients that aren’t found in mainstream grocery stores and most will find it necessary to visit a health food or specialty grocery to find things such as tiger nut flour, yacon syrup, licorice powder, sorghum flour and goat, sheep, or buffalo yogurt. With those ingredients, one must be determined and dedicated to go with this type of diet.

All told, this isn’t a cookbook for everyone, but the dishes are appealing, and anyone who needs this type of diet will definitely want to purchase it.

Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book.

I received a copy of this book through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This book was around 3.5 stars for me.

There's a lot of food pictures and recipes in this book which is nice. The book focuses on low-lectin recipes and talks about how lectins can impact our health. There's a nice variety of recipes, though some are a little more time consuming than I'd normally make. While there are recipes for every meal I think I was expecting that pulled me in more.

Overall an interesting find.

If you want to light up your taste buds, this is a cookbook you need to add to your collection! Everything tastes so good and it's healthy for you! This is not your normal "diet" cookbook, although if you follow these recipes you will probably lose weight and will definitely be healthier. I loved that there were many recipes that included the use of an Instant Pot since that has been my go-to way of cooking lately.
