“I could be a thinker who thinks things inside out, and when I'd found the answers Id share them with a shout!”
This is such a sweet and inspiring children’s book! Teaching a child (or anyone) that they are allowed to be whomever they want to be is such a powerful and great thing. I loved reading this! So sweet!

This book is truly a work of art. The artwork in this book reminds me of an impressionist Tim Burton with hyper-realistic human details and beautiful painted backgrounds. This book really centers the amazing things that a person can be that aren't dictated by capitalism or the need to advance in one's career or other society-dictated areas. I believe this book would be an amazing tool to children to understand how to value themselves and those around them in a simple and beautiful way.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

Wonderfully enjoyable children's book! Inspiring story, written in a flowing dialogue that the littles can easily follow. Beautiful art work that comments the story perfectly.

Fabulous illustrations! I adore looking at the pages of this book and all the imaginative additions. They compliment the text of this book perfectly which is a sweet message of inspiration and encouragement. Modern day “oh the places you’ll go!”.

Short, sweet, and simple, this book explores a wide range of possibilities, mostly in abstract explorations of values rather than concrete vocations (which I think works well). The illustrations are magical and really support the imaginative thinking, though I think more layered treatment would have really made them come alive more (also, I found the illustrations of people to be a little uncanny, though I couldn't quite put my finger on the reason why). I would have liked to see more exploration into relationships beyond just helping others, but that's a small complaint; I understand this is more for individual introspection. Overall, it's a beautiful book with a timeless message.

Between the poetic words and wonderful illustrations, this was a very peaceful book. I enjoyed that the illustrations had room to breath - plenty to look at but not overwhelming.

“I could find a million stars that were never there before, and when I’d finished finding them I could find a million more.” I absolutely adored this one – it reminded me initially of Oh the Places You’ll Go. First off, the illustrations are stunning. Add in a brilliant rhyming scheme, and you and the little ones will be hooked. This one delves deep into the beauty and vast potential of the future of a child – and the many paths you can take and lives you can live and lead, all of which can change the world.

Hope bound in a book--- such a gift!

I passionately love this kids lit book, although honestly, I believe this book is for everyone that could use a dose of hope in their life.

A poetic book of a young person who uses their imagination to think of many things that they can be, but what I like the best is how she chooses to be herself.

The illustrations are quaint and of a vintage style. The color palette used is so creative and felt antique in nature. The images were absolute perfection for this story!!

A story of self-compassion, of being enough and of the hope in life every day.
This book would make a great gift for any birthday, graduation and even just a gift to inspire!!

Grateful to have received a digital copy of this book from NetGalley & Clavis Publishing.

This book is really good. It reflects on how a person thinks and feels which is really useful for a younger person to read to help them understand the world and how to overcome challenges

We always ask kids what they want to be when they grow up. I liked that this one talked about HOW they want to be. For example, this girl wants to be helpful, to make people smile, to overcome fears, and to be a thinker.

The most beautiful picture books I came across in the past couple of years. Not only because of the stunning quality of the artwork but also because of the message. A book for dreamers. Kind dreamers. Who will be better people and will do good for others it's inspiring and dreamy.

I recommend it to all ages, from children to artists.

I thought this was very thoughtful and cute! It had a storybook quality to it that was interesting in both the text and the illustrations. It gave the book a whimsical appeal, but also was rooted in a very real idea to keep: I could be a million things.

What a beautiful children's book. This is the kind of book that every child should read. It will motivate them to be the best that they can be in anything they decide to do. The sky is the limit! Great lesson to teach at a young age.

I Could Be a Million Things by Jessy Humann is a stunningly beautiful picture book with an important message. Children of any age will be taken on a fantastical journey of discovery, and nudged with a gentle reminder that they can be and do anything in life as long as they remain true to themselves. The poetic verse, coupled with dreamy, ethereal illustrations, will make this a favourite that young readers will reach for again and again. Recommended.
