I struggled to continue reading this because the characters felt flat and unrealistic, and the narrative didn't pull me in.

Double X was an example of engaging science fiction for young adults. I would gladly add this book to my classroom library and would be curious to hear the conversations about society and gender from my students.

It's an interesting premise, but I found myself skimming a lot of it...it just didn't hold my attention. I'm sure other readers will like it but it just wasn't for me, sadly.
