I've read several books in this series, but plan on starting from the beginning and reading the ones I've missed. The plots are always well written with various twists. The main characters are easy to feel for and feel real. In my opinion a series definitely worth reading. Saying that, I've read them as standalone rather than in order and I've enjoyed them immensely

This is book 12 in the DI Lottie Parker series and another fabulous edition to a series that continues to surprise and never get stale.
A young women is found brutally beaten to death and this is just the start of a horrific series of murders that is all set to test the skills of Lottie Parker and her brilliant team. I really did enjoy this book I kept me guessing throughout just when I thought I had it figured up popped another murder and I was back to square one.
The other part of this series that keeps me hooked is the dynamics of Lottie and her team there is such an array of characters that it really does form an integral part of every story. I have to just mention one though and that is Garda Lei oh he had me in stitches at times and long may he continue to drive everyone crazy , I loved him!
So a wonderfully written story, a fantastic plot line and just about everything you would wish for in a damn good read, long may the series continue and many thanks to Patricia Gibney for another 5 star read.
My thanks also to NetGalley and Bookouture for giving me the opportunity to read the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Three widows by Patricia Gibney is the 12th Book in the Lottie Parker series and another fab read.
Lottie is trying to cope with her job and her relationship with her mother which was always difficult. But now her mother is showing signs of dementia. Boyd is also having problems of his own in the shape of his ex-wife. She dumped their son who at first Boyd didn’t know existed but not he has fallen in love with his son Sergio. But his wife is back and threatening to take him back.
The investigation starts when a brutally murdered women is found with her eyes cut out in a yellow dress too big for her. The killer has washed any DNA so they cannot be found. When a second body turns up of a woman which has left two young children orphans Lottie and the team is dealing a race against time to find the killer before they strike again and the only clue, they have they are all members of a women’s group.
Thank you Bookoutre for another stellar episode in the series. Three Widows is another gripping, grisly, unpredictable thriller that kept me hooked throughout. The personal live element of the team made the story more realistic it shows that Police are just like you and me. 5 stars from me.

I still liked this Lottie Parker story, even though the story line is slightly weaker than the last ones. By the end there were not all that many suspects left and the killer's motives were a less believable. Nevertheless, if you are a fan of this series and its quirky characters, you will not be disappointed. It's still a good read and definitely will keep you entertained for a few hours.

The day-to-day life of Detective Lottie Parker in Ragmullin, Ireland, is such an unholy mess that it almost makes my head hurt, but over several books (this one makes an even dozen) I've come to love reading all about it. And this one fits the pattern perfectly. Not only must she oversee an investigation of several sadistic murders, she and her police partner and significant other, Detective Mark Boyd, must deal with the sudden and suspicious return of his ex-wife, infighting and over-the-top infatuation within the department ranks and her mother's ever-worsening dementia.

All three situations get substantial page time, but it is, of course, the murder investigation that takes center stage. It begins with the discovery of a woman's body - one that's been severely beaten (ante-mortem) and had the eyes surgically removed (thankfully after the fact).

The victim had lost her husband recently, and she'd hooked up with a relatively new widows' support group dubbed Life After Loss. Lottie's team is still working on that investigation - and Boyd is still agonizing over his ex-wife's motives for return to Ireland and Detective Kirby is still trying to make sense of his new relationship - when another woman from the widows' group goes missing. And so the cycle goes until the end, when the case is (mostly) resolved. All told, it's another engrossing and thoroughly entertaining read - and I thank the publisher, via NetGalley, for allowing me to read and review a pre-release copy.

Three Windows is the twelfth in the Lottie Parker series, and I recommend they are read in order, as the books also follow – rather closely, the lives of the investigative team. Over the 12 books, the author has created a group of well-rounded and believable characters, each of whom are experiencing woes in their personal lives in this latest offering. As always, the complex plot is well crafted, and we have several grisly murders too - it all adds up to a gripping read!

In conclusion, another excellent instalment, worthy of all 5-stars.

A woman's body is found - she has been brutally beaten and disfigured and her body left in a yellow dress that is too big for her. Jennifer O'Loughlin was a widow and hadn't been seen for some weeks. She was part of a group for widows and other women who had suffered loss but the other members can't or won't help Detective Lottie Parker's investigation. When another member of the group goes missing Lottie and her team delve deeper into the members pasts and find a link with a missing person's investigation from the previous year which was led by Detective Kirby. Several of the team members are distracted by happenings in their private lives; Lottie with her mother's memory loss, Boyd with his son and his ex-wife and Kirby with a woman who may just mend his broken heart.

Another fantastic instalment in this series by Patricia Gibney - great read.

Thanks to Netgalley, Bookouture and Patricia Gibney for the ARC of this book in return for an honest review.

I am an avid reader of the Lottie Parker series and having read them all I was very eager to get my hands on this one and I just love Lottie Parker. Yes she’s a bit of a mess and her falling apart personal life has more drama than her police work, but that’s why she’s so intriguing and after 12 books I feel like I know her pretty well.
Im glad that the last few books have focused more on the crimes and not as much about Lottie and Boyd’s relationship or lack of one, as I did feel that they were becoming too much of a focus and the constant back and forth with them two was really annoying me. They seem to have almost went back to the beginning now, except they both love each other & are not afraid to say it. Will they ever sort themselves out? Lottie seems more together than Boyd at the moment which makes a change!

There’s always plenty of drama with Inspector Lottie Parker and her police team, while they try and solve a million things at once and try not get anyone on the team killed in the process. With some new additions to the team and some like McKeown, if only he’d go back to Athlone. The drama between him and Kirby is amusing though I feel sorry for Kirby as he’s never had much luck since his last girlfriend was killed and he’s been slowly falling apart.

The crime itself was intriguing and intense in that you never knew who was going to end up dead next, I really hoped it would unexpectedly be Jackie at some point! Get rid of her in one go instead of having to put up with all her drama. There where many characters and to be honest not many where that likeable, they were all a bit self centred and had a few screws loose. In that case the killer could have been anyone of them, for this really was a seriously sick and twisted individual.

Overall I really enjoyed the book and would highly recommend this series.

A page turner to the very end!

Patricia has delivered a new psychopath set on a path of total brutality in the name of self-preservation. How many are on the hit list to keep their secret. This was a total page turner as the body count increased along with the connections between all the players, waiting for the true motive, that triggered it all and why such a brutal attack,

There is more on each of the main characters but just small progress on their relationships. Boyd is adapting to fatherhood and loving it, however, his is about to turn his world upside-down. Lottie, continues to have issues with her mother and her health. Team dynamics still run high with tension and is there finally love on the cards for Kirby??

This was my 1st venture into the series and I will definitely be looking ip the rest of the books if they're half as good as this one was. Its got a good pace and keeps thr plot moving without feeling rushed or skipping over things. There are a lot of characters tk keep straight but that just meant there were even more red herrings thrown in!it's a decent length and definitely kept me captivated throughout. I'm not convinced the whole murder motive was believable but hey, it's a fiction so why not just go with it. I'd recommend for any serial killer/ thriller fans and now I'm off to download book 1 and get completely lost in Patricia gibneys world

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my copy of this book.

When a murder victim turn up with all limbs broken and eyes missing. Detective Lottie Parker and her team investigate. Does this murder have anything to do with a widows club and who is the next victim.

Really enjoyed this. The usuaL whodunnit storyline worked well with sprinklings of Lottie’s homelife. Boyd her partner at work and in life, is distracted by the reappearance of his ex Jackie. Her mother Rose is succumbing to dementia. There’s infighting in her team.

Highly recommend. .

I love the Lottie Parker series and this one doesn’t disappoint. When a body is found that has been clearly tortured and brutally murdered it’s a race against time to discover who the victim is and why they have been killed and when a second woman disappears from her home leaving two children alone the only connection they can find is a widdows group that they all attend. Will they get to the bottom of the murders and as the team start to fall apart due to resentments and family issues Lottie’s stuffles to keep her team together and their eyes on the case at hand. Roll on book 13.

Patricia Gibney does it again.
. A young widow Éilis Lawlor disappears in the middle of the night, with her two little children left asleep in their beds, iSince her husband’s tragic death, Éilis is all her children have, and when Lottie sees Éilis’s house keys and phone are still in the house and that gets Lottie very concerned and suspicious that there is much more to this than what it seems
Éilis’s broken body is found by a nearby lake dead.. Lottie Parker has vowed to find the killer. Eilis is a part of Widow support group and that other Widows appear to be withholding a lot more than they should be

Absolute page turner!! Gripping from the very beginning. as always Patrciai Gibeney keeps you glued to the book
