Thanks to Netgalley and Albatros Media for the ARC of this!

We love cute non-fiction books in our homeschool day and my 6 year old said this one was really great! There was not too much text but there was a decent amount of beginning information about plants. The artwork was pretty!

Certainly a unique way to show how plants “feed” off each other. Some do enjoy being near others as long as they can share. Share the sun and water, that is. Plants that don’t need as much sun can live safely under the shadow of a sun-loving plant. Some plants don’t share well so they need to be spaced further apart from others. This is a prime example of how society works too. Great book for older kids to further understand how indoor and outdoor vegetation operate.
I received an advanced reader copy for free from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

I loved how this book was rich in vocabulary, chock full of information, but also had a comic-like narration going on throughout the pages. This would be a great book for a science class to use on plant life. I will recommend it to my teaching team. Students could also use this as a mentor text to create their own simplified books to teach others about a concept.

I loved "How Plants Talk by Harastova" and can see how elementary students will greatly enjoy this book as well. As new research about the ways plants communicate has been coming out, possibly every science teacher has been on the lookout for an age-appropriate science read for classroom use. The illustrations are lovely and concepts of communication, movement, and adaptations are masterfully presented. A must-have for every classroom library.

My children loved this book, and I learned something, too! How Plants Talk shows the different ways plants can communicate with each other and protect themselves. The illustrations are cute, the text is relatable and understandable for young kids, and the overall tone of the book is very tender. My kids loved learning how plants can take care of themselves, and it inspired them to take better care of the plants in and around our home as well. I highly recommend this book for kids to learn about and delight in the natural world!

Thank you to Albatros Media and NetGalley for providing an advance reader copy for me to review! My family enjoyed it.

A really cute book that explores the different ways plants communicate to the world around them! Full of flaps that have answers/more words behind them and cute illustrations, I found this book delightful. Great way to introduce children to the world of plants!
