I continue to love this series, it’s just so much fun and always has me laughing out loud! This volume sees a new love interest appear, the humour and pace continue to be on point and I just love the artwork and characters!

With the way things are heading, I think this is going to come to a satisfactory conclusion though I’m bummed that this is apparently on four volumes? Like…I know it’s best to go out on a high sometimes and not to have too much of a good thing but…this series is so fun and such good vibes!

Loved it and couldn't put it down. Romantic Killer has become my all time favourite manga series and I simply cannot stop talking about it! Junta, Anzu and Tsukasa are my favourite characters, but every supporting and additional lead character in the series is also really well written. Riri as Anzu's cousins has already created some hilarious situations and I look forward to seeing how that progresses through future volumes. I really love how the bugs/beetles are censored, it makes me laugh so much!

I had originally seen the Anime series which I randomly started watching, only to binge watch it all in one night and then rewatch the entire season 3 times. So when I saw that it was a Manga originally I was very excited and absolutley wanted to see if the show was based on the chaptera/volumes, which it is.

This was a charming title and definitely a different take on the romance genre. It pokes fun while still being fun. I also appreciate it being in full color. It’s a nice addition to the story. I also like that this whole series is on,y four volumes, but after having so many love interests introduced in this volume, I’m not sure howmitll all resolved satisfactorily. Guess I’ll have to read and find out!

In Vol. 2, a new challenger appears! Momose leaves no stone unturned when it comes to what else RiRi could do to further complicate Anzu's steadily hectic life. While the search for Anzu's true love continues, Anzu also tries harder to thwart RiRi's evil plans. The art and story are just as hilarious as Vol. 1, but dare I say Anzu may be softening? Romantic Killer is ridiculous as it is charming, but that's exactly what keeps me coming back for more!

Thank you Netgalley and Viz Media for the ARC! The zanny antics continue in volume 2 of Romantic Killer. Our protagonist, Anzu Hoshino, would still rather be eating chocolate, playing video games or cuddling her cat than finding love, but magic (and maybe the fate of Japan) won't let her. In this volume, Anzu is given a handsome, sporty childhood friend going from one possible love interest to two! It doesn't end there, though another possibility arrives to win her affection (in a twisted way) but how many love interests will she be given? And who, if any, will she choose? This series is fun and funny and sure to be a hit with fans of the anime.

I can't say that this book particularly enthralled me in its prose, but I think that more than likely it could appeal to a tween audience for multiple reasons, The plotline is direct, easy to follow, and to the point. The colored illustrations can be a real pull for people who would have otherwise not picked up a graphic novel/manga or may tend to stick to comics. It isn't something I would pull as my first recommendation to someone, but I think its a decent option to have available.

Riri's magic continues to infect Anzu's life as new romantic partners begin to circle the cat-obsessed teen. When Riri ups the game by posing as a cousin, Anzu's gets an unintended makeover while the boys around her slowly grow aware of one another.

I appreciate the absolute ridiculousness of this manga and how it makes fun of shojo tropes. The full color illustrations also make it a treat to read.

I received an eARC of this title through NetGalley in return for an honest review.

I think I liked this a little better than the first volume. Anzu's personality really starts to form in this volume when the first she seemed more focused on losing all her stuff. This volume also introduces a 3rd potential romantic trope, but I'm not sure how I feel about them. He's a rich kid who thinks he can win Anzu's affection by buying her stuff.

I feel like this series is trying to get the One Punch vibe by making fun of Shojo tropes in manga, but personally, I feel like it does not always quite hit the mark. Sometimes it does, but other times it just misses. I still think it's funny. It has moments that will make you laugh out loud.

This series is so much fun! Anzu can't walk ten feet without getting herself entangled in a meet cute and I am loving it - Vol 2 was such a fun continuation of this series and I can't wait to see where it goes in Vol 3 and beyond! I'm definitely a fan of the story and the art!

Anzu Hoshino is living a life bereft of her favorite things - chocolate, video games, and her cat! Instead she has Kazuki Tsukasa, a fellow high schooler, staying with her for a month. And now she has Junta Hayami walking her to school. Supposedly, he was a school friend who recently moved back to this area. Also, he is a star baseball player. Then running late, Anzu gets hit by Hijiri Koganei's car. For a girl trying to avoid romance, Anzu is collecting a fine collection of good-looking fellow high schoolers! What with the burglar, the shopping trip, and Riri showing up in person, Volume 2 is a fun read! Looking forward to volume 3.

Thanks Netgalley for the chance to read this title!

Volume 2 is just as fun and cheeky as volume 1. Anzu is cursed to not have her three truest desires: her cat, video games and chocolate until she decides to date and procreate. Her fairy torturer throws hot guys her way in an attempt to lure her into a relationship. But Anzu's will is strong and she hasn't given into temptation: not when one of the hottest guys in school, not when her long lost childhood "best friend" mysteriously comes back into her life (and conveniently is set to move in too in this edition) and not when the uber rich "prince" of the school takes her out on a failed date and later brings over games, snacks and kittens to seduce her into liking him.

What I love: how Riri (both in fairy and human form) keeps trying to orchestrate meet cutes and failing, Anzu's undying affection for all things cat and lounge attire, the three distinct looks and stereotypes of Junta, Kazuki, and Koganei in Anzu's life, this series makes me laugh and I can't wait to read what happens next. I also really love the art style and the bonus scenes at the end!

Neither the plot nor the characters keep my interest in Romantic Killer. In Volume 2, I am reading this purely for the bizarro reaction faces that Anzu makes as the imp throws more absurd scenarios at her. (I received an ARC of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest opinion.)

This is such an entertaining series. This one was good but i don't like the new guy very much. Not my kind of shoujo trope, i guess. But i still enjoy reading it!

What's a girl to do with so many attractive young men hanging around her all the time? Anzu Hoshino is determined to avoid the romantic ending that magical fairy Riri has planned for her. With two of her male classmates now living with her and every romantic trope being thrown her way, Anzu has her work cut out for her. If that isn't enough Riri has now taken on a human form and thrown a third player into the mix.

Another full color volume, the insane comedy continues. Only this time, Anzu's wall seems to be crumbling a little. This is becoming a very addictive guilty pleasure series of mine. No matter what happens, it's been quite the enjoyable ride so far.

5/5

Romantic Killer vol 2 continues the story of Anzu, an independent girl who needs nothing except chocolate, video games and her cat. But somehow she has been caught up in a fairy’s plot to help her find love, and she’s not allowed to have her 3 favourite things until she does. Determined to never fall in love, Anzu suffers through high school life with hot boys being thrown in her way at every turn thanks to the fairy Riri.

This manga is in full colour!!! Every page!!! What a treat. Now I’m not sure if the anime follows the manga, or the manga follows the anime, but either way the story is the same in both. This volume does take place within the first season of the anime though so nothing new for me happened so I read this volume veeeeery fast. Yet I still enjoyed it.

I love the author’s art and especially their comedic elements. My favourite character shows up in this volume too so that’s a bonus. I’m pretty sure the next volume will still be from season 1, but after that I am looking forward to continuing this story!

Thank you to Netgally & Viz Media for this eArc!

This series continues to be one of the funniest stories I've ever read. It breaks your common Shojo tropes by, quite literally, breaking them.

Anzu continues her journey of avoiding love and romance in this volume, however- Imp doesn't seem to give up. She's already got two good-looking boys to keep track of, but now Imp has transformed into a human in order to torment Anzu even more.

Imp- now Riri- comes ready to lay it on thick, adding yet ANOTHER boy to the mix. Anzu is overwhelmed from it all, however by the end of this volume we finally start to see a crack in the walls she's built.

5/5 stars- The art is colorful, detailed, and the facial expressions have me dead. Highly recommend!

Volume 2 of this 4-volume manga series keeps the action going. Anzu's determination to defeat the romance plans of Riri the fairy is tested by not just one more, but TWO more handsome guys in her life. Riri has additional magic, too, to thwart Anzu's efforts in this battle of gamers.

There's no lull in the story. I really enjoy this series!

Love the concept of this manga it is super cute and funny read! Feel like vol 2 is still in the like stage building portion so nothing progressed to much but still super looking forward to future volumes. Recommend if you are are looking for a fun humorous new series to start!

The first volume of this series made my "Top 5 Favorite Reads" of 2022, so when I saw this one was available, I hit request and was sitting on tender hooks, hoping I would be approved for it and I WAS!!!! I legit celebrated when I saw I was approved, then downloaded and inhaled it in one sitting.

So. GOOD.

I found out at some point that this is only four volumes (NNNNOOOOOOO!!!!!) and that it's based off of an anime or that an anime of it exists, so guess what I need to hunt down?!? SO EXCITED.

The Imp is the apex of all that is evil and I really like how Anzu isn't giving up and really wants to help free Junta from the Imp's spell. I kind of ship her being single, BUT I'm a romantic at heart, so want her to be happily paired off, but I DON'T want the imp to win. Catch-22!

Fav scene of this was the panty thief, I love how absolutely FIERCE Anzu can be. I must have re-read it five times when I first came to it. (I have since re-read the book itself at least as many times. It just makes me so happy, siiiigh.)

Definitely recommended if you like the tropes of shojo being flipped on their heads. I envy you if you haven't read this yet and you get to do so for the first time. Savor it!

5, I'm buying this in every possible format that I can and am going to fervently press it into the hand of every customer in my store while I sing its praises, stars.

My thanks to NetGalley and VIZ Media LLC for an eARC copy of this book to read and review.

I loved the first volume so couldn't wait for volume 2! This second volume gave us new characters, more Riri shenanigans, and a whole lot of comedy. I also just really love seeing how the story is progressing and the rate at which things are (or aren't) moving, keeping the characters true to themselves.
